It’s a really beautiful and intimate setting for live music. The staff was not friendly and the drinks were outrageously expensive and hard to get.

This review is for Kägelbanan only. The venue is alright for smaller concerts if the local guy comes for a gig and you want to listen to some live music. For bigger concerts, however, it turns into a sham and a mockery for both the artists and the audience. Avoid this place for bigger concerts at all costs (note for both the audience and band managers)! The ventilation is bad (so bad that even the artists complained at the end of the concert), but the worse part is that the stage is so low that unless you are in the front rows you have no chance of seeing anything. On their website it’s written that the capacity goes up to 600 people and I believe that is what they are trying to sell. Now imagine 600 people crammed in a long, narrow room with a low stage - it’s a disaster, a very frustrating experience and totally disrespectful for the artists who are trying to give their best. I’m attaching a picture with my view at the Apocalyptica concert on 21.09.2024. For reference, my height is 180 cm. To this, add that you are expected to pay 190 kr for two beers.

This place is amazing! You have enough space to dance , music is nice , the building and view( especially top of it ) is so good ! Also free entrance for 26+ . It starts around 10 pm. Give it a try!

What a wonderfully kept absolute gem! The green and gold, the red curtains …this theatre brings such joy to an interior nerd! On top of that, having experienced a full day event with flown in superstar speakers, I can only agree with the hosts, lights and sound along with service was excellent!

Guys, I have to warn you.. If you are a group of males (only), not able to speak the swedish language and look for a place to party, you most likely are not allowed to get in to this place. That's what happened to us last night. After 40ish minutes of waiting, we were told that we cant be let in, because of us being too drunk. Ironically, we all were sober at that time. We were confused, because of us being totally sober and decided to try another club around the corner. The excatly same happened there. Firstly we were told that the place is closed. However after seeing plenty of people let in, we asked the doorman how can those people be let in and we doesn't. We were told once again being too drunk and "try your luck next time". Our mood dropped from 100 to 0. This behaviour of the doormen ruined our night. Where we are from, every client is treated *equally* regardless of their gender as it should be. However, This place is not following that principle.

A rock-like terrace with an great view upon the city. Live rock concerts here, on a small stage. The menu is limited but with enough choices for a decent evening-out with friends. Prices are good too. The bathrooms could use a thorough cleaning though! Oh, and the "dog bar" is a cool feature too!

Kägelbanan is a mockery. A venue where 70% of audience can't see anything. These pillars also get thicker at exactly the level of view, like they hate you for looking at the scene. The toilet door that keeps squeaking while the performers are singing acapella is the cherry on top. I could literally see disappointment in every other face.

We booked the whole place for a company event. Excellent place, the view over Stockholm is stunning, best available! Staff is friendly and service minded. We were close to 700 ppl attending the event.

Yelp
Cute outdoors area we came across while walking around the area. It was right after work hours smack dab in the middle of the week, and the place was teeming with young people hanging out, grabbing a bite to eat and drinking. We were able to easily find a portion of the benches to sit with our group and enjoy a nice drink overlooking the view of the city. I'd recommend this area for sure!

Yelp
This place used to be really good a couple of years ago, but lately the food served just doesn't hold the same standard. It's boring and bland, more like cafeteria food than the great quality buffet it used to be. On the plus side, there are lots of nice veg to choose from. There are still waffles, though, and since you make them yourself it's your own fault if they're badly done

Yelp
Fun awaits if you come to Södra Teater, and the only thing you may complain about is the closing time since you will be having a lot of fun and they must kick everyone out at 2 am (Swedish laws). Before 10pm you don't have to pay a cover fee, so come in early and have a drink watching the nice view from the top floor bar. You can leave your jacket at their wardrobe room, just don't forget the wallet as beers cost around 60 SEK, and cocktails 120 SEK. I tried a Sour Cosmopolitan that tasted quite sweet but still yummy. Luckily for me the song selection on that particular Saturday night was ragga, hip hop, and dance hall - which I love by the way. In between drinks I danced a lot with my friends and had a lot of fun, but it's not a traditional Swedish type of music so you won't find the stereotypical swedes around there. If you want something a little different, go down the stairs, there is a little pub and another dance floor (which was then playing very intense dub step).

Yelp
Gorgeous place in Sodermalm for an awesome brunch with jazz music on the background. Pannkakor (Swedish pancakes with cream), different kinds of salmon, cheese, eggs, bacon, meat, and some mexican dishes such as chili con carne, jalapenos and nachos, then fruit, cakes and of course water and coffee all you can drink. All of this costs 225 SEK (around 25€), you spend extra money only if you ask for something different to drink, especially if it's alcoholic. I recommend it during the weekends and I suggest to book a table.

Yelp
What a wonderful food court inside of a mall! Filled with some pretty bomb food stalls and a modern seating area. Stop by before or after shopping for food and drinks. Be prepared to pay 10 sek for a bathroom stop

Yelp
Came here for a business event and had a pleasant surprise. The theater is a very old and fancy place setting the right mood for a special occasion. A lot of seatings inside, and a terrace outside, which provides great possibilities to schedule a break and serve some food. One con is that the chairs are not the comfiest, but its a good thing for the host, since it will keep your attendees awake I would definitely recommend this place for hosting a different event with a intimate and personal touch, and if you are lucky enough, you can enjoy some sun at the terrace in between!
