There are two very different sides to this hotel, connected by a long hallway on the ground floor. Both sides also share a pool. But that's all they have in common. The rooms at "tower," near the river, looks like a Pulp Fiction set. It's a little bit terrifying. The red carpet, blood red walls, red and black furniture, and very dim lights in fixtures from the 70's create an ominous vibe. Not to mention the extremely loud village on the river side that plays the music so loud at all hours that it shakes the patio glass doors as high as the 19th floor. The hotel says they can't do anything about it because it is off hot grounds. Should you be able to look past the murder scene vibes and the noise, there is still the issue of exposed electrical wiring in the wall outlets, the tinh tub, the only semi-functional AC and shower head, and the smell of old cigarettes deeply embedded in the carpet, mattress, and walls. The lobby is also dark and gloomy and gives a has-been casino vibe. However, the other side of the same hotel - near the "majestic" mall - is completely different. It's bright, cheerful, high-end, clean, and modern. The lobby and the rooms are inviting and feel safe and cozy. It's hard to believe they will even leave the tower open in its current state.
