Our recent stay at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort in Siem Reap was nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, the hospitality was flawless, blending French elegance with warm Cambodian charm. Exceptional Leadership & Arrival: The high standard of service is clearly a result of the leadership of Seyha, Sam Sorn, the Executive Assistant Manager (Overall Manager), whose presence and dedication ensure everything runs smoothly. Upon arrival, Chhun and Ken were absolute standouts at check-in, greeting us with genuine warmth and ensuring a seamless transition from our airport pickup. Expertly Organized Tours: The team arranged brilliant excursions to Angkor Wat and the surrounding lakes. Our guides and drivers were incredibly knowledgeable, skillfully navigating the sites to help us avoid large year-end crowds and making the experience feel truly private and special. Rejuvenating Spa: After long days of exploring temples, the massages at the hotel spa were a perfect treat. The professional therapists and serene environment provided much-needed relaxation. Personalized Dining: A special thank you to Chef Mujibur Rehman. He went out of his way to prepare a "simple" off-menu meal tailored specifically to our needs, which was one of the most comforting highlights of our stay. Spectacular Year-End Party: To celebrate the start of 2026, the resort hosted a breathtaking gala. It was a thoughtful evening featuring: Acrobatic Performances: Mesmerizing displays of local artistry that left the audience in awe. Live Music & Singing: Beautifully curated performances that set a festive and sophisticated tone. The Countdown: DJ Neil kept the energy high all night, ensuring the dance floor was packed for the midnight celebration. Every "Ambassador" at the resort went above and beyond. If you are visiting Siem Reap, the personalized service from this team makes the Sofitel the only place to stay.

This hotel was picked for us as part of a combined 3 week tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. ||Ambience - beautifully presented in all areas. Spacious, plenty of common areas to relax with a book or chat with new friends. Lovely artwork and statues in the gardens. ||Rooms - spacious. Comfortable and very large bed! Could’ve done with a plug socket on both sides of the bed. Lovely gift of 2 traditional scarves. |Well fitted bathroom with Asian style toilet shower head. ||Restaurant - we ate a couple of times in The Citadel restaurant and had excellent food and service. ||Breakfast, plenty of choice , Asian, continental, full English. ||Swimming Pool - too humid to sunbathe by the pool but we enjoyed a couple of swims and the swim up bar was very welcome !

Staff, room facilities and comfort are excellent. Wonderful breakfasts. We had two massages at the exquisite spa. While I have heard from fellow guests that all the spa staff are excellent, we had the best massages we’ve ever had in our own country and everywhere else in the many countries to which we have travelled. We both have back issues that have never been addressed as well as was achieved following these massages and so we specifically asked for Cheata and Vicheth for our second massages. Highly recommend you find time to visit this spa, which is just near the appealing pools and swim up bar.

Overall we loved our stay at the hotel. The room, facilities, F&B were excellent. Gardens were well maintained and it was a serene and relaxing stay. Special shout out to most of the staff, service was beyond excellent and we could see their genuine efforts to serve us well. However, my only gripe was one male staff who greeted us when we first arrived. First he spoke to us in Cambodian language until we spoke to him in English and then he said, "I thought you were Cambodian". Then he asked us what kind of room did we book. In my life, I have never been asked this, the more delicate manner would be to ask us for our passports for registration purposes and then search for our booking under our name like what other hotels do? In the end, a lady staff took over our check in procedure. Hope this can be improved for other guests in future. Location of hotel was excellent, a short distance to Angkor Wat, Pub Street and the night markets, tuk tuk rides were US$1-2 on average one way.

We stayed at the resort as a family of 10 and had an absolutely amazing experience. Every one of us felt warmly welcomed and thoroughly taken care of throughout our stay.||||Being Indian and vegetarian, we were especially grateful to Chef Rahman, who was extremely cooperative in preparing tasty Indian dishes. He went out of his way to prepare delicious Indian vegetarian meals for us, ensuring both taste and comfort, which truly made our stay special.||||The hospitality of the entire staff was outstanding—courteous, friendly, and always eager to help. Their genuine warmth and professionalism added immensely to our overall experience.||||We would highly recommend this resort to families, especially Indian travelers and vegetarians looking for comfort, care, and exceptional service. We look forward to visiting again.

The hotel with the most beautiful outdoor grounds we’ve ever seen. It almost feels like being in another world! The service and the breakfast were a dream. The location is excellent, with the temples just a short distance away! We would come back anytime.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful hotel. We had a few problems but they were soon resolved by Saran. He was brilliant, moved us to another room with a balcony overlooking the garden and swimming pool. We enjoyed afternoon tea in there most excellent restaurant overlooking the most beautiful lake with giant water lilies. The staff at the hotel cannot do enough for you, very attentive and the food is good as well. I would definitely recommend this 5 star hotel to anyone who visits Cambodia, I would love to come back at some point in our lifetime.
