Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort

We had the most fabulous stay at the Sofitel Angkor, right from our arrival we were greeted warmly by every member on the staff, the level of personalisation of service at a hotel this size is a first for me! The room was comfortable, the property is well maintained with a champagne bar, 2 restaurants, a pool bar and a spa. We had club access which gave us access to a lovely high tea, evening cocktails with canapes and breakfast. The food choices were well thought and had good variety. What really stood out was how attentive every member of the staff was. Every guest was given personalised care and attention by the lovely team. Every time we walked past the lobby we were greeted and recommendations were provided for things to do. The pool area was quite large and good to chill at, with the spa being next door, we had a very late spa request but it was made available by Mr. Som. A delightful experience, will definitely be coming back to Sofitel Angkor.

The hotel is beautifully laid out amongst lush gardens and ponds with elegant covered walkways linking all the different features of the hotel. We had a ground floor double room from which you could walk straight out through sliding doors onto the terrace, and then a short walk across grass and through the trees to the swimming pool. The room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were most cheerful, welcoming and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel as part of our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. The welcome, service and helpfulness of the staff were at a very high level. We were upgraded to a prestige suite. The cleanliness was perfect, breakfast with produce from local farmers. It's a shame that due to the hotel being full we couldn't get a later check-out, but we could use the pool until our evening flight. If we come back to Angkor we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a tour group and we very much enjoyed our stay. The service is impeccable, the food quality and selection is outstanding, and the room was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t use the pool, but the pool area and entire landscaped hotel area are beautiful. The location is very good, only about 10-15 min to Angkor Wat. There is a pharmacy and many other shops in walking distance. Overall we had a very memorable experience and would stay here again on another visit. I would like to mention San Visoth who provided excellent service. I needed to ice my foot which I injured before the trip. I asked for options at the concierge. San Visoth brought me a large bucket of ice every day which I could use to ice my foot. Thank you, San Visoth.

A beautiful setting! The property is absolutely gorgeous! I loved the bridges and covered patio to sit and enjoy the setting. The restaurants on the property were all top notch. The Champagne Bar was a stand out. The intimate seating, the special tasting rooms, the comfortable bar, the snacks of nuts, the knowledgeable staff on wines. Very enjoyable. The pool area is large and very accommodating with a swim up bar, a main pool area and several smaller sections of pool for a more intimate experience. The breakfast buffet in the morning located in the main dining restaurant was impressive! A juice bar, a bread and pastry section, a fruit section, a cereal (cold and hot) section, an omelet station, a meat carving station, a Asian fish and dumpling section, pancakes, crepes, bread pudding.... all yummy! The staff was nop notch. Opening doors, greeting guests, making sure we noticed the stairs and "step down" areas.

We absolutely loved our time at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra. It is a beautiful resort style hotel with a lovely lagoon that is surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. We loved the high position of our room and its deck, overlooking the gardens (which are filled with exquisite flowers and birds singing). Our room itself was large and airy, and had all of the conveniences that I would expect of a hotel of this caliber (I especially appreciated the blue tooth speaker and the in room coffee machine). From the minute that we arrived - to the minute that we left - the staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Several learned our names and addressed us in a friendly way as our paths crossed. The pool was lovely, and the spa was a delightful place to relax and rejuvenate. We especially loved the New Years eve decorations (We'll never forget the tea lights on the lily pads). We left a small part of ourselves at this hotel and HIGHLY recommend it.

Expertly Organized Tours: The team arranged brilliant excursions to Angkor Wat and the surrounding lakes. Our guides and drivers were incredibly knowledgeable, skillfully navigating the sites to help us avoid large year-end crowds and making the experience feel truly private and special. Rejuvenating Spa: After long days of exploring temples, the massages at the hotel spa were a perfect treat. The professional therapists and serene environment provided much-needed relaxation. Personalized Dining: A special thank you to Chef Mujibur Rehman. He went out of his way to prepare a "simple" off-menu meal tailored specifically to our needs, which was one of the most comforting highlights of our stay. Spectacular Year-End Party: To celebrate the start of 2026, the resort hosted a breathtaking gala. It was a thoughtful evening featuring: Acrobatic Performances: Mesmerizing displays of local artistry that left the audience in awe. Live Music & Singing: Beautifully curated performances that set a festive and sophisticated tone. The Countdown: DJ Neil kept the energy high all night, ensuring the dance floor was packed for the midnight celebration. Every "Ambassador" at the resort went above and beyond. If you are visiting Siem Reap, the personalized service from this team makes the Sofitel the only place to stay.
