Sofitel Athens Airport

Excellent staff, everywhere spotlessly clean. Comfortable room with great beds. Very quiet despite being across from the airport. Very good buffet breakfast. Bar prices overly high eg 11 e for a glasss of house wine.

A perfect ending to a wonderful trip through Greece. We stayed here for an early morning flight. We didn't try the restaurants but had time for a dip in the pool. The reception area by the gym and pool and massage rooms smelled divine. Wound up buying the Greek fig and thyme aromatherapy mist. Next time I would book a massage. Great ambiance, nice staff, very comfortable beds, excellent, well thought out bathroom space. Didn't try the restaurants but I'm sure they are great. Top notch. Quiet and extremely comfortable.

Perfect location to stay as a hub between the airport and touring in Athens. The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious and clean. We ate at all three restaurants and every one was great, good staff. We would highly recommend this hotel.

SO HAPPY with this hotel and the service they provided. We had an extremely early flight out of ATH. The rooms are clean and wonderful full of amenities. Awesome layout for a family of 4. The sofa bed was already prepared for my kids. We left to get dinner and when we returned there were 2 full plates of FRESH fruit waiting for us! What an awesome detail. Only negative was the room service selection and desserts were not great and extremely small. Would recommend 10/10. Thanks for a great stay and great service.

Dining at Jenny’s was fantastic! Incredible experience, service and food! Our executive suite was nice and clean. The location is very convenient. ||We are at the tail end of our honeymoon. Last night in Athens before heading home. ||We paid extra for an executive suite and then added the “Executive Lounge” for the refreshments, food and happy hour in the evening…sadly we realized it isn’t worth it whatsoever, not a cent. ||Not enough wine glasses for the 10 regretful people in the small, awkwardly quiet (no music or tv) room the lounge is located in. The young woman attendant is rarely seen. When we asked her for a wine glass, she informed us they were out. We watched her put back a wine bottle with a 1/4 inch of wine in it and not bring anything back. ||We called the manager after awhile of waiting. Another couple went to the receptionist. ||The manager was helpful, responsive and professional. After speaking with him, she seems to be doing her job…still waiting on wine glasses.

This place was our last stop before we flew back to the US. We took the Athens metro to the hotel. Hotel was very easy to find and check in was seamless. The staff was very accommodating and made things very comfortable and easy! The hotel is very clean, and feels very luxurious! ||Rooms are spacious and nice, windows have "blackout" options. Each room had 4 bottles of complimentary water. Shower and tub are effective, however the shower head produced SUPER hot water, and had to use the handheld shower heads. ||Continental breakfast was very extensive and generous! Lots of good food and options.

We stayed at the AVA hotel near the Acropolis which was fantastic but like many large cities, the airport is quite a distance from the center of the city. We are always worried about traffic causing unnecessary high blood pressure so we like to stay at hotels as closely attached to the airport as possible especially when we have an early flight. Better to have the luggage stored at the central hotel to get later and then sleep the night before at the airport hotel. Yes this is not a cheap hotel but unlike many other airport hotels we have stayed at, this one was worth cost. The room was very nice. Large and comfortable. AC worked well as did the WiFi. Separate toilet and shower which is always interesting. Very quiet. Did not hear a single plane taking off. Staff was friendly and abundant. There is an on-site restaurant which we did not utilize. We have a weakness for Pret Manger and found one after taking a test run to where we had to check in. |Getting to the terminal does require leaving the hotel and going outside. It is not directly connected. There is an escalator that takes you to the departure level that is very close and simple. |One suggestion is to give yourself more time than you think going to customs control. There was a long line at 6 am and yet only one person was there. Many were about to miss their flight so you could smell some panic in the air. Another person finally showed up which helped but he must have taken 10 minutes just to get set up. Security is just past customs and was quick. It wasn’t as bad as Brussels but it seems strange to have such limited staff with 75+ people in line. Oh well. |That’s why controlling your own schedule with an airport hotel is so beneficial. Would stay here again. Enjoy.

Service from front desk, housekeeping and restaurants was top notch. We had a very early flight and after clearing airport security, we realized we left something in the room. Housekeeping and front desk went above and beyond to find the item and deliver it to friends who were still at the hotel. Sofitel Athens staff really came through. THANK YOU! Food: we had a beverage at the rooftop bar and ate dinner at Artemis. Service was charming and very professional. Portions were quite large, almost too much. Rooms are everything as described - luxury, large. Bathroom is gorgeous, bed is luxury. Room darkening panels, elegant lighting. The convenience to the airport for a 6:00am flight meant I slept the night before. Cost feels high when booking, then you stay and experience their service and luxury. I wouldn't hesitate staying again.
