Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit

We used our Suite Night Upgrade and received a very nice Suite. Spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and silent on a higher floor. The bed and the aircon were excellent. The staff is excellent trained. Attentive, friendly and helpfull. The breakfast is sumptious, only there should be a wider selection of cold cuts. The Club Millessime is very big with a wide range of food and drinks during the Happy Hour.

Stayed for 2 nights from 18 to 20 Feb. Laste check out only offered till 1pm due to full occupancy. Staff at check in was attentive. Housekeeping was impeccable and highly commended. Staff at Club millesime was quite nonchalant during breakfast hours. Our orders were forgotten despite fully the lounge not even half full and had to remind the staff. Buffet breakfast on the other hand is a much better experience, staff were professional and welcoming.

From the moment I arrived, the hotel set a new benchmark for five-star luxury in the heart of Sukhumvit. The welcome was impeccably warm and professional, with staff anticipating every need before it was spoken. The lobby itself was a statement of refined elegance. Quietly opulent, beautifully scented, and infused with a sense of calm that instantly separates this property from the bustle of Bangkok outside. The room was a masterpiece of contemporary comfort and thoughtful design. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows revealed sweeping city views, while plush bedding, marble finishes, and subtle lighting created an atmosphere of indulgent relaxation. Every detail felt intentional, from the perfectly curated minibar to the spa-level bathroom amenities. Housekeeping was flawless, and the room remained a private sanctuary throughout my stay. Dining and amenities elevated the experience even further. Breakfast was an exquisite affair, offering both refined international selections and authentic Thai flavors of exceptional quality. The pool and wellness facilities were serene and immaculately maintained, ideal for unwinding after a day in the city. Combined with its prime Sukhumvit location and world-class service, this hotel delivers true luxury in every sense and stands among the finest places to stay in Bangkok.

**A Sofitel That Falls Short of Expectations** Staying at a Sofitel usually feels special—whether it’s the rooms, the service, or the little details. The Sofitel Sukhumvit has been recently renovated, and the rooms are stylish and high-tech. Using the in-room tablet to control everything takes a bit of getting used to! Our experience at the front desk, however, was disappointing. The staff member was unsmiling, spoke quietly and too quickly, and ignored our repeated requests to speak louder and slower. Not a great first impression. Breakfast was varied and good quality, but more than half of the staff seemed uninterested or unwelcoming—almost as if we were bothering them. On the bright side, the Millésime lounge was warm and inviting, and we felt right at home there. Highly recommended! The pool area and sun loungers are outdated and worn out (though a renovation is planned for mid-2026). The fitness center, however, is well-equipped. In the end, the Sofitel Sukhumvit offers modern rooms and a great location, with a standout lounge. The rest? Just average.

Sofitel was the best accommodations I ever had at any hotel. As an avid traveler this is saying a lot. The room was immaculate with smart room options - no need to get up to adjust the ac, lighting, etc. It was all at the touch of your hands. Room service was seamless with no time less than 40 minutes and the time was shown on the room tablet. The service was top notch, no matter the hour, everyone was extremely kind and accommodating. Breakfast had a wide array of options. They were even kind enough to have a birthday set up in the room for my husband. I will look to book with Sofitel across the world because of my stay here. Thank you for such a perfect stay!

I was impressed with the services that offered by the hotel, example doing the best to check in earlier and my late checkout without additional charges. The staffs in the lounges are great who doing their best to serve us. The room services house keeping is doing very well especially the evening session to setup the slipper besides the bed and evening tea for good night sleep. Definitely i'll come back again!

We had an incredible stay at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. While it is officially a 5-star hotel, the staff treats you with a level of care that feels like a 6-star experience.||The rooms are of exceptionally high quality and kept perfectly clean. A really nice touch was the premium bathroom amenities by Karl Lagerfeld—it felt very luxurious. After a long, busy day out in the 'urban jungle' of Bangkok, it was so refreshing to come back to the hotel for a dip in the pool. It’s the perfect way to unwind.||Even though it’s not the biggest pool in the city, the service there is hands-down the best in Bangkok. The moment we arrived, the staff were there instantly to set up towels on our sunbeds, and they provided us with free water and even complimentary sunblock. I’ve never seen such attentive service at a pool in Thailand before! ||One small suggestion for improvement:|While the service at the pool is 10/10, the sunbeds themselves don't allow you to lay completely flat. They stay in a slightly upright position, which is fine for reading, but it would be great if they could be adjusted to lay flat for those who want to fully relax or nap in the sun.||Dining & Views:|For the evenings, you cannot miss Belga Rooftop Bar & Brasserie; the views of the Bangkok skyline at night are absolutely stunning.||A Note for ALL Accor Members:|As a Platinum Member, I was highly impressed by how much this hotel acknowledges loyalty. This was probably one of the best experiences I’ve had within the Accor group worldwide. From the seamless check-in in the Lounge to the generous room upgrade, they truly go above and beyond to show they appreciate their loyal guests. They don't just follow the benefits—they exceed them.|If you want high-end luxury combined with the best service in the city, this is the place to stay. We will definitely be back!"

Overall, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. The attitude of the front desk staff was consistently unprofessional. In particular, one tall female staff member displayed a condescending attitude and even smirked during our conversation at the front desk. Even when we passed each other one morning, there wasn’t even a simple greeting. The room overall was clean and comfortable. However, the shower was frustrating, as it leaked even when the door was properly closed, soaking the bathroom floor around the shower area and making the bath mat useless. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. Used amenities were replenished on some days but not on others. I understand it may have been a busy period. Late check-out was not available, so I added an extra night to avoid having to leave during the day. Since this resulted in two separate reservations, I expected the transition to be handled more smoothly. Unfortunately, it felt disorganized. The location is convenient, with direct access to the BTS via the skywalk. The bell staff at the entrance and the employees working at the pool were also kind and professional. I have stayed at other hotels in the area with significantly better service, which made this experience even more disappointing. Since I started practicing Muay Thai, I have been visiting Thailand more frequently and plan to continue doing so. However, based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.
