Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia – Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"Named after the Victoria Regia, a water lily that floats in the Amazon, this hotel imbues Colombian flavor with elegant French touches. The property was designed by renowned architect Miguel Soto, who helmed the whole “equal parts Colombia and France” aesthetic: think velvet furnishings, local artwork on rotation, fresh flowers replaced daily, and Hermes toiletries. The 102 rooms—including five suites—are chic and comfortable, while the restaurant, Basilic, offers French haute cuisine and a sizable wine menu."

Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia is phenomenal. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed. The location is perfect — walking distance to Zona Rosa shops, restaurants, bars, and everything you could want. It feels like a boutique luxury hotel, right next to the Four Seasons. Breakfast is fantastic. The service is attentive, the food is fresh, and the à la carte dishes and breads are out of this world. We also enjoyed a great massage during our stay. The concierge team went above and beyond. They helped me book a hair appointment outside the hotel and catered to every detail we needed throughout the trip. I would come back to this five-star hotel any day. Highly recommend.

Highly highly recommend this hotel! It was a beautiful hotel, clean, smelled amazing, and very attentive staff. I was working during the mornings in the restaurant and the staff there was super friendly and attentive which made the whole experience even better and to top it off the food was amazing and the coffee delicious! Actually everything I tried was delicious. Also the location is amazing and walkable to so many places yet not too busy street, close to amazing restaurants and to the 3 different malls. I will definitely return to this hotel when back in Bogota.

My experience at Hotel Sofitel was magnificent. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Facilities are top notch. The location is the best in the city, less than one block from Zona T nightlife. Book your trip at Hotel Sofitel, you will not be disappointed!

A luxurious boutique hotel in one of the city’s most prestigious areas. Our stay included breakfast, which was excellent, very varied, and the staff were always friendly and eager to assist and please guests. Our room, with a small terrace, was great. One area for improvement: during our stay there was an earthquake, and we followed the evacuation signs, which were quite confusing. At the end of the path, we reached an emergency staircase that we couldn’t use due to unclear instructions, and we were ‘scolded’ by staff for being in an area we supposedly shouldn’t have been in, even though an earthquake is an emergency, and we were right in front of the staircase. It would be important for the hotel to review these instructions, ensure the emergency stairs are fully functional, and make the paths clearly marked. Despite this, I honestly couldn’t imagine a better place to stay in Bogotá.

We stayed with my boyfriend for two days in the hotel and we had a wonderful experience. |The staff in particular is thoughtul and pays attention to details. |I like to mention the concierge Camilo, always smiling, dynamic with a genuine sense of service. |Jhon from the breakfast was also very careful with us. |And of course a great thank you to Laura Salamenca, part of the Guest relation team, who made our stay even more memorable.

The Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia was one of the most beautiful hotels! Not only is the hotel beautiful, clean, and well kept, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. From the moment we landed in Bogota, the hotel staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. Prior to arrival, we had set up car service through the hotel to pick us up at the airport. Our flight was delayed but I was able to message the hotel staff on WhatsApp to communicate about our timing and get our drivers information. This made us feel so comfortable knowing that even though it was late at night, we were secure. Check in went quick and easy, we checked in at 24:00 but the staff made sure we were comfortable. We did need to change rooms because the noise on the street was too loud for us but the staff made it quick and easy and we were much more comfortable. We were here for our honeymoon and in the room, they set up for us chocolate covered strawberries and some beautiful notes welcoming us! Each night, they also provide Coca tea that helps with the altitude and it was perfect! We loved the breakfast buffet and the amazing coffee! The food was delicious. We also went to the restaurant for dinner and our waiter and bartender were so nice and everything was delicious! The concierge was the most helpful and nice man! He knew us by name and helped us get car service to and from every place e we were going. We were even provided with umbrellas on a rainy day! The hotel is in a great location, very close to all the main areas. The space is beautiful and clean! We highly recommend

Definitely an option worth considering when staying in Bogota. Location is a 10/10 and so is the fluffy signature Sofitel bed. Rooms are small but nicely decorated, staff is mostly kind and useful, specially the front desk via email. Only cons I think is the amount of noise in the rooms coming from different sources (AC, minibar, hallway…).
