Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa

I checked in for one night. The porter and welcome desk greeted me warmly and the check-in experience was great. I appreciated the hand-made leaf greeting laid out on the bed. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many options. I checked out but was able to use the resort amenities for the next day while waiting for my flight. I relaxed at the pool area, swam, and had a nice cocktail by the beach. I enjoyed a spa treatment that was exceptional and relaxing. My primary complaint is regarding communication around the water adventure equipment usage. I went to take out a kayak in the morning around 10, at which point the staff told me that I could not during low tide and to come back at high tide around 2 PM. I did return in the afternoon but at that point the waves were cresting very high and breaking rapidly and it would frankly be a fight to get into the water. The staff told me that the waves were too violent to take the kayak out and I would have to return tomorrow. I agreed with this assessment but obviously returning tomorrow did not work within the parameters of my stay since I was departing that evening. I wish all of the considerations with the tide, waves, conditions, etc. were communicated with more clarity or better yet, staff could clearly " book" a departure time that was within satisfactory water conditions for a excursion. All staff was delightful and really exhibited bula hospitality.

The best kid-free holiday we’ve ever had! This resort went above and beyond.. from check-in, to our rooms, to the food, to the pools, everything was phenomenal. Their standard is so high, I honestly cannot recommend it enough. We’re already planning my birthday celebrations here so the whole family can experience it too. And if you do have kids, the kids club is absolutely amazing. The people make it extra special. so friendly, so genuine. Breakfast is a must-do (their Koko Fijian cuisine is unreal, definitely try it!). If you’re in the adults-only wing, you also get access to the beach club, which is such a cool vibe. Every hour they come around with tapas, wine, or shots... such a fun touch! Extremely high standard, highly recommend to everyone, families, couples, or solo travellers.

Our recent stay at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa was nothing short of extraordinary. Every single staff member was attentive and gracious, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The resort’s restaurants were immaculate — spotless at all times, with a seamless level of efficiency that made every dining experience a pleasure. Whether it was a quick breakfast or a leisurely dinner, service was prompt, friendly, and always delivered with care. A highlight of our stay was the Wai Tai Beach club, which felt like a luxurious sanctuary of peace and indulgence. The atmosphere was serene, the attention to detail impeccable, and it offered a perfect space to unwind and recharge. A special mention must go to Ivan, the concierge, who was truly exceptional. Every interaction with him was filled with joy, humour, and a genuine desire to make our stay the best it could be. His warmth and energy left a lasting impression, and he became one of the many reasons we will remember this trip so fondly. We left Sofitel Fiji feeling refreshed, cared for, and already planning our return. It’s rare to find a place where every detail is handled with such grace and passion. We will recommend Sofitel to everyone — it’s a true gem in paradise.

Beautiful resort. The staff are wonderful, rooms lovely with excellent servicing. The pool is big and deep. It’s fabulous for kids here. The kids club looks great and the staff all so nice there. We don’t have little kids but they all looked so happy with lots of entertainment. Great gym with special nice touches as in water, fruit and a smoothie for you when you’re done! The restaurants are expensive. Nothing is cheap here so be prepared for that. But overall I’d return in a heartbeat

We had such an amazing stay at Sofitel Fiji! The rooms were beautiful, the amenities were great, and everything was so easy and relaxing.|The absolute highlight for us was the Kids Club. The staff were incredible, and Milly especially was just amazing with our kids — they loved every minute. It honestly made our holiday so much more enjoyable knowing they were so well looked after.|Can’t wait to come back next year.

The resort was beautiful and had all the things you would expect but it was it's people that set it apart. The staff were just so friendly and obliging. They really made the stay. During my stay I also spent time at a nearby resort that also have beautiful amenities but the staff were simply not comparable.

This was our first time in Fiji. We planned to end our amazing week at this hotel, and also I was celebrating my birthday. The moment we checked in we got our room upgraded and also they gave us access to the beach club. Once we left our luggage in the room we decided to go to the beach club and at the entrance they mistreated us in a big way, stating that we weren’t part of the list and that who said at the reception that we got the upgrade, pretty much calling us liars like if there’s any upside in pretending or wanting to be in a place that had no idea it existed until they upgraded us at the reception an hour before. There was some back and forth and they let us stay, apparently the lady at the beach club “confirmed” what we were saying. But the next day the same situation happened again, to then after talking with the person that upgraded us they let us stay. That day was my actual birthday and also my wife was trying to organize something special for me and nobody paid attention to her. Despite of that, the waiters at the beach club were really nice. So nothing on them and their service was impeccable. We were leaving that day at 10 pm so we pretty much spent the whole day at the hotel, we requested a late check out and they said that we got only until noon, and then after asking again the lady changed it to 1pm. We requested a taxi with the reception to find out later that nothing was requested. Anyway it was a really disappointing experience, that honestly left us with a bad taste about it

We had a fabulous 7 nights with our 2 grandchildren. Your staff are just fantastic. Margie in the Bazaar looked after us each night. Madame So was a great dinner too. The kids club staff are wonderful. Highly recommend to all families. And there is an adults only area and restaurant too.
