Sofitel Luang Prabang

The property is architecturally beautiful and historically significant. The grounds are kept well. Since there are only 25 rooms it has an intimate feel to it and the staff pretty much knows all of the guests. I opted for one of the 4 pool suites which helps cooling down in the middle of the day. However, the pool could have been cleaner, it had black organic matter at the edges of the water level and partially all over. So I found myself having black feet and hands when I got out of the pool. On the positive side, the pool is totally private and visually cut-off. The rooms are a bit dark but that is understandable, considering the historic overlay of the property. Except for one staff member, I found that the staff was really going out of their way to make the guest experience a memorable one. While I am generally not a big fan of hotel spas, this one is really fantastic, both for the quality of the treatment and the setting.

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely unforgettable. The staff were excellent, attentive, and genuinely caring. The hotel itself is a charming collection of French colonial buildings, set in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. It was wonderfully peaceful, a true escape.||The food was excellent—we dined at the hotel frequently and were consistently impressed. As someone who travels often within the Accor group and prefers Sofitels, I can honestly say this Sofitel is by far the best in the network. What sets it apart is the intimate, personal nature of the property. With only 25 rooms in the hotel, the staff quickly know you by name and make every interaction warm and memorable.||All the staff were amazing but a special thanks to Te, Thoon, Touk, Noy, Tou, Min, , Phone, Yok, Max, Andrew, and Uni. Their personal approach made our stay magnificent and truly special.||Highly recommended for anyone seeking a serene, elegant, and deeply personal hotel experience.

Magical! Absolute perfection. Nuoy, Max, Yai, Leng, Troun, and Pui took excellent care of us every minute and everyone, including the entire staff, were extraordinarily kind. Every need or wish was accommodated with grace and warmth regardless of how much effort it required. We were made to feel more than welcome. The food was delicious, the grounds are beautiful, and the room was very comfortable and well appointed. However, above all it was the people. Bravo Sofitel for bringing such wonderful people to work in your charming hotel. They are a great team and we will cherish our time with all of them forever.

We had the most beautiful and unforgettable stay at Sofitel Luang Prabang. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and genuine care by the incredible team, especially Pui, Noy, Te & Thoom. who all made our experience seamless and completely relaxing.||We were here for my birthday and the staff went above and beyond to make it feel truly extra special. Such thoughtful touches that made the celebration unforgettable.||The surroundings are stunning and tranquil- a true haven. This is by far the nicest Sofitel we have ever stayed in, combining elegance and comfort in the most perfect way. The service was impeccable! Staff were attentive without being intrusive, thoughtful and always accommodating.||Every detail made us feel truly looked after and it was so wonderful that we honestly didn’t want to leave. Our party of 6 friends had a fab stay at Luang Prabang Sofitel (5 day stay). Andrew Gianfranco-Cotel and his team made us very welcome with their warm hospitality and helpfulness. Max and Asu at the front desk were helped us book restaurants and gave helpful tips on what to do around the town. Although the Sofitel is a little way from the town centre, Mr Tey and the other drivers from the hotel shuttle were always willing to drop us off wherever we were headed and we could always get a shuttle back from the sister hotel (3 Nagas). We stayed in the Garden Suites which were very comfortable and spacious and the private garden is a nice touch. The choice and quality of food at the restaurant was excellent, as was the service. We also enjoyed the cocktails by the pool on lazy afternoons.

andrew, the cluster GM, lou the restaurant assistant manager, and the rest of the staff are excellent. from the start when i arrived, i was welcomed with the great and warmth hospitality of laothian people. the room, the restaurant, are superbly serviced and managed. kudos to all of the staff. defintely will come back again. the services is beyond 5 star hotel services. they provide a complimentary comfortable and excellence transporation to the old town luang prabang

Had the most incredible stay at Sofitel Luang Prabang. From the moment we were picked up at the airport, to the smooth check in experience, and the surprise room upgrade - we got so overwhelmed with the warm hospitality and friendliness of every staff we interacted with.||We felt so spoiled staying in the property, which we found out after, was the smallest Sofitel in the world. It meant that there were never too many guests at any one place - at times we felt we had the whole resort to ourselves. But typical of Sofitel quality, despite it being small - it had everything we needed - a beautiful pool, which was perfect to cool down after a day of sightseeing, a decent gym, which, after eating so much delicious Lao cuisine, was badly needed, and an excellent dining area where we had some of the best cocktails ever. ||The room was spotless, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable - everyday was a struggle to roll out of it. We got upgraded to a pool villa, and the pool in our room was always temperature perfect.||It also helped a lot that Sofitel provided shuttles to take us to the old town - whether it is to their other property - 3 Nagas, or to do some shopping at the night market - the team was extremely accommodating.||Our only wish was to have stayed longer, because we really felt so welcome and pampered throughout our stay. It was very memorable, and I can’t wait to visit Sofitel again when I return to Luang Prabang. Thank you for the incredible experience.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Sofitel Luang Prabang. The resort is very spacious and there are just over 20 rooms. This makes it incredibly quiet and a wonderful place to unwind. All the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The service is beyond 5-star, simply fantastic. The free shuttle service and the rabbits on site are the highlights. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
