Stayed here for my honeymoon.
By far, THE BEST hotel I've ever stayed in. Thank you Costco for helping us book!
PROS:
-Ambiance - BEAUTIFUL hotel! The lobby is decorated with fresh flowers and the decor was very modern and up to date. Impressive
- Location, it is central to mostly everything, nearest metro is about a 10 min walk away, near all the high end retailers, 5 min walk from L'église de la Madeleine and Fontaine des Fleuves which had the ferris wheel up, 20 min walk from the Louve, 30 min walk to Eiffel Tower. The nearest FranPrix is 5 minutes away walking. So yeah, location is amazing.
- Right next to the US Embassy, so there are armed guards on the street of this hotel, which is a pro to me because I felt very safe. TIP: do not ask the guards if you can have a picture with them, they will yell at you. learned the hard way.
- Service was amazing. When we checked in the front desk person actually gave us a tour from the lobby to the restaurant to the bar to the elevator to the room. Never had that before and it was a very nice gesture of her. House keeping was spot on, the hotel even left us fruits and water every night we were there.
- Elegant rooms + amenities. Small but the beds were huge and comfy. Great lightening. Toiletries are from Hermes.
- Breakfast. If you have the option to get complimentary breakfast, you should take it. It's a breakfast buffet with an assortment of pastries, cheeses, breads, etc. They also had smoked salmon, cured meats, cheese, cereal, eggs, sausage, bacon. Although it is the same food offerings everyday, It did not disappoint, the food was good. We were told that the chef, Yannick Allénothe best and famous, but sadly we could not get reservations for dinner, so make a reservation as soon as you can if you want to try his food.
- Free access to fitness center.
- Free Wifi
CONS:
-No pool, no sauna.
-Expensive, but I have to add you get what you pay for.
I highly recommend this hotel and worth every penny.
