Sofitel Saigon Plaza

A very busy hotel. Staff were pleasant and polite and our issue with the room safe was managed quickly and satisfactorily. Breakfast was always busy but there was a very good range of items from the extensive buffet. Our room was comfortable and quiet and well serviced. Location was good with most of the HCMC sites walkable. We didn't eat or drink in the restaurant for dinner. Not the hotels fault, but why would you eat in when there are so many great Vietnamese restaurants locally?

An amazing stay. From the moment we stepped out of the transfer the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet variety was perfect. Both general breakfast items and local cuisines. Our last breakfast service by Man. ST25 was just as delightful. From cuisine to service. They are conscientious and conversational, personalising their questions and general chit chat by actively listening. Spacious modern rooms with local art and design. Overall Sofitel is a great place to stay, and quite central but still out of the hustle bustle of Saigon central.

Beautiful charming hotel with great service. The team were incredibly friendly and accommodating from the bellman to the dinning service staff. One of the best breakfast spreads I've experienced with high quality food. The Beef Pho was particularly delicious. Thank you Sofitel Saigon, for exceeding my expectations with your outstanding service and attention to detail. Would definitely back to this hotel for my next stay.

Sofitel Saigon was a great stay. Recommend the location, as you are in the heart of the action, Service is top notch, we had requested extra water and it was in the room within 5 minutes. We met the General Manager in the lobby. Super friendly and well run place. On his recommendation we tried out ST25 their modern Vietnamese restaurant, was amazing to taste their interpretation of Vietnams cuisine. The staff was amazing, so knowledgeable. Much better than going to the local restaurant chains. Highly recommend and will book again next year after Tet.

We have stayed at this place many times over the last years and it just gets better an better. ||I will break it down too each vital response.||||1 . Picked up from the airport that was prearranged with the hotel we have done this many times an it makes the airport experience a hell of a lot better.Two of our favourite people from the team also came out to the Airport as well.||2. On arrival again more members of the fantastic team taken straight to OUR suite that we have stayed in again many times just love the room layout.The team had some fantastic surprises for us that remains with us but just incredible.||3. We have access to the club not only because of our room but a Diamond member of Accor plus. The club is well appointed with the staff well chosen.||4. Breakfast in Mezz always at the same table always with one of the chefs preparing something special ,one highlight was a Hamburger patty prepared simply the best I have ever eaten , the plates of seafood so good.||5. No 17 Bistro started with a wine dinner the wines well coming from Australia our wines well while not having the tens of decades history are equal or even better sure its lovely to hear the story of a French winery but the truth is in the taste Oh I won't tell you way I went but I think anyone can guess Sorry Frenchies||6. The staff at the Bistro are very attentive I passed my iPhone to a man I have know for many years who must be a frustrated photographer so many shots thank goodness my phone has a 512gb memory But it was thoughtful. ||7. We had been invited to test a new idea a High tea with cakes and lots of food prepared by a Chef who really knows his craft Thank you||8. whenever we go out into the city come back too a Gin & Tonic using the local gins that would stand well against any. The team again in the Boudoir bar so good .||Also the young Men an women up at the pool deck they make you feel at home again making great drinks and welcoming service.||9. My wife tripped on some pavement about 300 metres from the hotel thankfully she was with a team member Anna who contacted Concierge an as my wife puts it while on the ground saw a member of the Concierge and security man sprinting up the room and grabbed her into a taxi straight back to the hotel, with the hotel doctor and the GM making sure she was OK she was bruised and embarrassed but fine.||||The people In the hotel we feel like everyone is a part of our Family it is just a home away from home for us.||||The Evisa system is simple the flights from OZ to Vietnam every day spread between the 3 airlines flying direct.||||I very close friend of mine was Santa at the hotel on the 29th and earlier in the day at a orphanage which was very moving an hit the heart hard.||||My friend Santa was moved not only about the Orphanage but the number of kids at the hotel wanting to see Santa he was again touched.||||We try and go twice a year an will try always to do this.||||To THE GM MR MINTY thank you

I had a wonderful experience at one of the oldest hotels in Saigon - Sofitel Saigon Plaza. I really appreciated the dining space at Boudoir Lounge with delicious breakfast buffet dishes, aromatic coffee, and fine tea. This will be my favorite spot for weekend mornings with family and friends. Thank you to the staff at Sofitel for providing me with such great experiences here.

We had a one night stay before heading back to Australia. We booked a Luxury room, were Diamond members and were upgraded to a Superior Club room. It’s a little confusing how it’s an upgrade other than being close to the club level. But the room was spacious and they kindly put some toys in the room for our toddler which was really nice. Honestly just as fact since being diamond at all hotels we’ve stayed at including this one we really haven’t noticed much difference at all to how we were treated for many years as platinum for those interested knowing that.||What was also nice was that with a child under 12 not allowed in the club Millésime they offered us the same benefits at the pool which I couldn’t enjoy as I’d arrived sick from our last night in Phu Quoc but it was a great touch.||It’s a really nice hotel and the eating options are very good. Staff are friendly and professional. We requested a late checkout and were given to 4pm which was great. We added some more time for a fee which was ok for us.||We would stay here again.
