Sofitel Saigon Plaza

I had the pleasure of staying twice over December and January at Sofitel Saigon Plaza. While the hotel itself is stunning and the amenities are excellent, what truly made both stays special was the staff - hospitality professionals who rival the world’s best! Club Millésime was the highlight. The service was polished, personal, and consistently warm. Special thanks to Tram, Astrid, Tina, Nhi, Evelyn, Marcus and Zoe for their exceptional care, including their patience and encouragement when I tried to practise my Vietnamese. A further thank you to Anthony at ST25 by KOTO for making Christmas dinner so special. An outstanding experience overall.

I had an exceptional experience at Sofitel Saigon Plaza. The location is ideal for exploring Ho Chi Minh City, providing easy access to major landmarks while maintaining a sophisticated atmosphere. The breakfast was a particular highlight, offering an impressive array of options that beautifully showcase Vietnamese cuisine and local beverages. It was a perfect introduction to the city's culinary culture. Service throughout the hotel was impeccable; the check-in and check-out processes were seamless, and every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming, and attentive to my requests. I highly recommend this hotel for its combination of convenience, cultural authenticity, and outstanding hospitality. Was given a welcome cake for anniversary.

The hotel is very nice and in a convenient location, service is excellent throughout! The restaurant ST25 has excellent modern fusion Vietnamese cuisine, and has been put on the Michelin guide list. Food is amazing, love every dish on the set menu!! each bite is an amazing explosion of flavours, so delicious!! Highly recommend this restaurant. Anthony who served us was excellent in guiding us through the dishes, and most importantly he has such a warm personality and serves us with a nice smile throughout. We had such a wonderful dining experience, will definitely come again the next time we visit.

We arrived last night and our first impressions were amazing and nothing has changed, the staff are exceptional! We were warmly greeted by Anh Thy who was absolutely delightful and explained everything very well, we got the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast here is amazing and all the staff we encountered were efficient and welcoming. I would definitely come back to this hotel, we met guests who have come back over ten times they love it so much! We are very much looking forward to the rest of our stay with you, thank you! 🙏

I had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The hospitality system is incredibly well-organized, making every part of the experience smooth and enjoyable. The interior design is truly unique, creating a charming and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. The food was outstanding—both beautifully presented and rich in flavor. Special thanks to Brian, Astrid, Marcus, and Huong for their warm service and professionalism. They made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for during my stay. Magnificent Breakfast Crew at Sofitel Saigon, My wife and I were staying at The Sofitel Saigon from January 12 to 19, 2026 and we were very well taken care of by the breakfast staff there, that we wanted to thank them personally in this write up. During our stay there were no fresh papaya fruit available on our first breakfast, but “Man” and manager “Van That” made the extra effort, not only to get fresh papaya, but had it delivered to my room, as I had already left the breakfast table. From then on each day at breakfast, it seemed like every staff knew and or reminded me fresh cut papayas were available. Another event was where on the 3rd breakfast I asked for a matcha style coffee which I had previously at lunch but I mistakenly thought I had it at breakfast previously. I was properly informed that match coffee was not on the breakfast menu, but the next day, the breakfast my manager “Ngoc Nguyen” asked me if I wanted matcha coffee as they will try to make their first match coffee for me. Thereafter each day, matcha coffee was available for my asking. The extra efforts and the ability to change and adapt are what impressed my wife and I the most; and these characteristics are the hallmarks of a truly 5 star customer service team. Thank you once again to all of the staff at the breakfast brigade, including “Van That”, “Ngoc Nguyen”, “Truc”, “Man”, “Nhi”, “Thao Thuy”, “Thy”, “Tin” and all others. Location-wise, the hotel is within walking distance from places of interest in District 1 (Cathedral of Notre Dame, Post Office, Ho Chi Minh statue) and the offices of foreign banks and insurers. I came to stay for a team offsite event as well as visiting my company's Vietnam office nearby, and my wife joined me for an extended stay in HCMC. The fact that my wife has no complaint about the room (and she has high expectations) speaks volumes. Our room, bed, duvet and pillows were clean and comfortable. There is no need to bring along power socket converters as the built-in plugs can cater for the British type G plug and others as well. Other memorable things we liked about our room and the hotel were: 1) the large mirrors (one for the dressing table and two mirrors in the bathroom) which ladies will find very useful. There are also 2 large mirrors near the elevators to check your appearance before going out. 2) the tastiness and the variety of food in the breakfast and lunch buffet, with local delicacies (banh mi, pho, Vietnamese coffee), French boulangerie breads and healthy choices in addition to the customary selections. 3) the hotel gym has sufficient machines and tools for a good workout 4) the outdoor swimming pool which I swam one of the mornings. There is a children's wading pool and one can have a good view of District 1 surroundings from level 18. 5) the staff at the lobby, business centre, restaurants and housekeeping were courteous, attuned to guests' needs and very helpful. 6) The fragrance, ambience and the general atmosphere in the room, business centre, gym, restaurants and the swimming pool commensurate with a 5-star hotel. 7) the transport from the airport to hotel - comfortable cars, with a bottle of water and a driver who can drive safely and calmly amidst the hectic HCMC traffic. The thing that might be of a concern but not the fault of the hotel, is noise from the street outside. The road is a major road and could be noisy during weekdays. The prices of Sofitel Saigon are only slightly lower than 4-star hotels in Singapore, but in my view it is worth the value. Kudos to GM Mr Alistair Minty, Manager Mr Eban, Miss Zoey at the front desk, Mr Tiger and the young driver at the airport, housekeeper My Chau and all the other staff who have made our holiday a pleasant one.

We have 2 beautiful ladies serving us today, Mille and Rinni. They were attentive and made good recommendations. We ordered 4 sets of the dinner menu and truly enjoyed every single dishes. They were all delicious. At the end of the meal, I was surprised with the serving crew singing birthday song for me and presenting me with a free desert. It was truly a memorable experience!
