Yelp
Had an opportunity to host my husbands 45th birthday celebration at the Sofitel. We rented out the restaurant for the party and had an incredible time. Darian James, helped us with every detail. He was super patient and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The experience was so easy and we had such a great time we hosted two other events at the same venue a few months later. Thank you Darian for being such a pleasure to work with.

Yelp
VALET LOST CAR KEYS BUT THEY EVENTUALLY FOUND IN THE TRASH. If we could give a 0-star rating, we definitely would! The valet lost my sister's car key, and while the staff searched for it for nearly an hour, they eventually found it in the trash can. The staff were friendly, but it is completely unacceptable for the car keys to be found in the trash! No excuses can justify this kind of "carelessness"- can they even explain why the trash can? This incident occurred earlier today.

Yelp
*****Five-Star Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills***** Another fantastic stay at one of our favorite LA spots. Our suite was lovely, spacious, stylish, and featuring an incredible floor-to-ceiling wall of windows with panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills and the Hollywood sign. Truly a room with a view. The staff are friendly, responsive, and went the extra mile. Quickly providing a fridge and power strips upon request, which made the stay even more comfortable. The location is spot-on. Central to LACMA, the Academy Museum, Petersen Automotive Museum, La Brea Tar Pits, and the Huntington Library. And with incredible restaurants just steps away, you're never far from a great meal. The hotel's own Riviera 31 lounge adds a cool local vibe. Live jazz on Mondays, salsa on Wednesdays, and rock & roll on Fridays. Each night has its own flavor, and the energy is always electric. Every time we stay here, it truly feels like our home away from home. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Nothing to write home about. Average at best. But pricy too. Busy and full of traffic around it. Location is prime. But has no charisma, views, and frankly not worth the money. I parked valet for 90 minutes for $38. Hell with that!

Yelp
Nice hotel- central to Beverly Hills and cedars Sinai. The rooms are a bit dated but the arrive is superb. Would stay here again. Onsite restaurant is nice and convenient for breakfast.

Yelp
Sofitel Hotels and Resorts are a French hotel chain of luxury hotels based in Paris, and the LA location stays at the crossroads of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, with attractions, restaurants, and shopping within walkable distance. The average rate is about $300 per night, I think it's not too bad considering the location, and there are few restaurants and bar on the ground level.

Yelp
Rather expensive and rather plain hotel. Central location is the only real plus to this place.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel with great service! I'll admit, I booked here through one of those blind Priceline deals where they reveal the hotel to you after booking. And while I've noticed the Sofitel in passing, the proximity to the Beverly Hills Center was initially a bit of a turn off for me. Yes, it's convenient but it you're off of a main street and nothing about it seemed cozy to me from afar. But I was wrong. Their driveway makes it super easy for drop offs and pick ups away from the main road, the staff were all so nice and helpful, the lobby was gorgeous and my room was clean, comfortable and more spacious than anticipated. Despite LA not being the most walkable city, I was able to quickly walk to the Farmer's Market and a few other nearby neighborhoods. The property also has a restaurant and room service, so you're covered for food if your don't feel like eating out. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with my stay and would be open to staying here again in the future!

Yelp
Fun Salas & Bachata night at this luxurious and elegant hotel. the event is open to anyone with a cover charge, come and dance or just enjoy the music, watch and learn. something special to look forward to every time. Valet parking for convenience.

Yelp
This is a wonderful hotel. I had a business trip and stayed at this hotel and the experience was divine. The staff interacted with the guests in a professional and polite manner. The staff went above and beyond my expectations. The hotel is eco-friendly and has excellent spa services. The hotel is first class all the way. The location is clean with beautiful flowers all around the hotel. The location is amazing-- close to shopping, dining, tourism, and landmarks. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this hotel-- you will be amazed.

Yelp
The bellboys are the sweetest human beings ever! I worked an event here and the brunch they served was great. The event coordinators staff and manager are so nice and accommodating and met all of our needs. We were able to throw a great brunch! The rooms give a France and they always say Merci and bonjour when they talk with you. I loved it. It took me back when I went to Paris.

Yelp
Based on my personal experience, everything was amazing service was great the valet were very professional and caring and attentive definitely want to try to make in and recommend them

Yelp
This is our second time staying here to be closer to Cedar Sinai. The costumer service is great, that's about it. The entire place has the smell of marijuana everywhere night and day. There's families, children, patients and I find it truly disrespectful and inappropriate, this was my experience with both my stays. We wanted to eat at the restaurant however the only way to get through was going through a club, we felt uncomfortable and just opted for Grubhub. My biggest complaint would be the mattress, it was hard as the ground, room 505, and one blanket, no sheets or middle blanket, just the comforter. I didn't sleep at all as non of the bedding nor mattress was comfortable. I had surgery early the next day and was slo sleep deprived. Came downstairs to check out and was met with extreme marijuana smoke.

Yelp
Great location, Spacious Rooms, Pet Friendly with no extra fees for your furry pet, stayed in a 1 bedroom King Suite with beautiful Mountain Views, Valet at $65 sucked, but welcome to LA. Most hotels charge $100-$150 for pet fee. These two charges are pretty standard for all the hotels out here, so It was nice not to at least not have to pay the pet fee. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
If I chose to become a world traveler, I would plan my whole itinerary around the Accor collection of hotels, just based on their only property that I have stayed at several times...The Sofitel Los Angeles. The brilliant and visionary minds who created this hotel/resort, have managed to stay ahead of the mundane, and provide a completely unique, luxurious lodging experience. Don't take my word for it. Check out some of the other Yelp 5 STAR Reviews. Don't worry about the ones that are 4 stars or less. This is a large, yet intimate facility, and some may have a negative take on it. Still in the larger scheme of things, this oasis, including it's delicious, creative, and cutting edge dishes, will enrich your lives in numerous ways! My Superstar, among several incredibly wonderful employees, is Jonah. He makes sure that the Sofitel is a safe environment, but he looks more like a movie star guest, and there are plenty of those to go around, Attention Hollywood Producers,,,this guy is The Real Deal, and a GUARANTEED Investment who knows how to take care of business, but in a humble manner!

Yelp
Stayed at the Sofitel while a family member was being treated at nearby Cedar-Sinai. It's expensive, we stayed for 2 nights and with the $200 incidental hold they put on the account it's almost $900. The hold will be returned after the room is inspected and verified to be free of damage. They also have valet only parking and charge per night for that. The hotel itself was very nice. Everything was spotless in the room and they left chocolates at the bedside, the room includes a mini-bar but it's insanely expensive ($35 for a bulleit cocktail, $8 for a 8oz red bull, $9 for gummy bears, etc.) and the rainfall showerhead is really nice. The staff was very friendly and even on Monday night when there was a Jazz event downstairs at the venue I didn't really hear it. My only real complaint outside of the mini-bar prices is the comforter on the bed. They didn't provide a sheet just this really heavy comforter. It was stifling, I couldn't sleep with it over me because I started to sweat even when my room was 65 degrees and if I kicked it completely off I wasn't comfortable either. I really wish they had a lighter comforter and sheet. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, it's very pricy but it's in a great area with easy access to shopping, food, the hospital, etc. If we have someone at Cedar again we'll probably stay again, just steer clear of that mini-bar like I did and maybe bring your own sheets.

Joylyn G.

Yelp
Went here for an event and the place was amazing! Great view of Beverly Hills. Walkable distance to stores and restaurants

Kevin B.

Yelp
Terrible value for the price. Definitely wouldn't recommend anyone stay here. When mention you have amenities like a pool and gym, for the price you would think it would be halfway decent but I felt like these amenities were designed for a Motel 6.

Yelp
Recently had an opportunity to stay here while I was in town visiting family. First of all the hotel is located right across the street from the Beverly Center, there is a Target and CVS around and within a few blocks of a lot of restaurants that you can walk to. When you walk into the hotel it comes across as more of a club vibe with the lightening which is a little odd and not what one would expect. At check in we were given 2 vacuum sealed water containers to use during our stay, filtered water stations are on each floor. The room was good, some things were odd. Yes there are no curtains, just wood shutters which were fine when closed they kept light out. There was a giant picture hung rather low over the bed so you couldn't really sit up in bed and lay your head back on the headboard because of the picture. There is a frig that was in a cabinet under the TV, but it was a mini bar full of stuff so you couldn't use it. The door to the bathroom is two small doors with panels, which when closed you can see light into the room. So if you are sleeping at night the light from the bathroom lights the room. You can't see into the bathroom, but the panels should be painted to to reduce light in the room. The bathroom did have a few things with it that were off. The toilet was not centered, the trim around the doors looked weathered from moisture, there is no fan in the room and one of the lights in the ceiling wasn't flush with the ceiling. Finally, there were no hooks to hang towels. Now houskeeping made the whole stay amazing. They would clean the room during the day then come back at night and do turn down service and leave chocolate. I was using the slippers they provide and they would line them up by the bed at night, lay out the bathmats. The only complaint I have for houskeeping was they kept forgetting to leave an extra roll of toilet paper and I had to ask twice for one. I think this is because the extra role is kept in the closet across from the bathroom. Perhaps it would be better if kept in a nice container on the back of the toilet. I would stay here again.

Yelp
Easy valet out front - very fast The lobby is gorgeous with glass and shimmery lights I came here for a private event on the rooftop with catering and live jazz music. They even have a helipad - The views here are quite unrival and it's such a quiet area to have special events for. The hotel was able to have live painting, drinks, helipad 360 photo access, baked goods and live jazz band. I also got to check out their penthouse suite with the two way bathroom, balcony views, living room, and even the electronic blinds

Yelp
My family love this hotel!! It's a bit more expensive but they're implacable services worth every penny! I've stayed there 2x every time we are in Beverly Hills. My most favorite it's their bedding!! They are so luxurious and soft. Once you slip into the bed and under the cover, you will never want to get out of the bed!! It's like you are floating on cloud--literally, no joke!! And let's not forget my fury babies. They each got a water/food bowl, a bed, and toys to welcome them to the hotel. The only negative thing is --there's no nearby park to take them for peeing and pooping. We had to walk a distance to find a park ourselves. It would be helpful for the hotel to provide information on parks around the area. Their implacable services from the moment you step out your car until you leave the hotel. I've stayed in many five stars hotels but none ever made me feel like royalty. So good job you guys and keep up the good work!! Thank you for taking such good care of me and my family!! Et

Yelp
We spent 2 nights at the Sofitel on a staycation for my daughter's spring break. The location was perfect for us. Close to shopping, museums and other sites we had planned to see. The service was outstanding from the welcome by the valet to the desk to the maid service. Everything was 5 star. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend the Sofitel to anyone who's planning a vacation in LA.

Yelp
Overall, not bad. Staff was very nice and friendly. Price isn't crazy. Room: felt clean enough, a bit outdated, outlets right behind the mattress on the bed frame but inbetween the mattress and bed frame. Hard to find and a little awkward to use. Didn't make sense to me. Only 2 pillows on the bed, idk but I'm accustomed to more. PROS: They provided a plate of chocolates and a fruit, plus 2 complimentary water bottles in the room upon arrival. Filtered water re-filling stations by the elevators on each floor, and free re-fillable bottles provided at the front desk. Nice location, close-by to WeHo, right across Beverly Center mall. Affordable option considering the higher end luxury hotels in Bev Hills. CONS: No parking, mandatory paid valet parking service. Outdated room. Not bad. Nothing to rave about. Would stay again considering the price and location if needed, if I had the option I would rather try something a bit more upscale next time.

Yelp
Work put me up here for a conference. Grand hotel with quality service. Big driveway in front if you need a ride to pick you up. Filtered water with a Sofitel bottle on each floor. Right near a huge shopping mall and CVS. The only drawback is that the gym closes really early for night owls. MY GRADE: B plus to A minus.

Yelp
The staff is quite rude and not very helpful. There seems to be poor management. Disappointing, given the reputation of the hotel chain.

Yelp
We are currently staying in Sofitel Hotel of Beverly Hills. Amazing experience. The check in was fast and courteous, the staff is wonderful from people at the door, reception, and everyone else. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Loved the bed. Altogether a great experience. The food we ordered, pizza and salad, absolutely delicious. A special shut out to Emily at the reception. She was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
LOUNGE BAR TENDING! I usually go Wednesday nights for the salsa music but I'm starting to notice a trend....there is a bartender who's about 5'3 has a beard with some gray... usually when I ask him for a drink he seems to overcharge me but when my girlfriend go gets to drink, it's a lot less !? and to top it all off, his demeanor, he seems unhappy or doesn't want to be there?! At one point it seems like you're supposed to be happy that he took care of you!? But it has been every time I go on a Wednesday night. AVOID THIS BARTENDER.... This is why i Dont tip.... If I get a soda with ice, its $9?! If my girlfriend gets a soda $5 maybe on a good night $4. Do I have to wear a red dress to be treated with some respect and a polite greeting?

Yelp
Fun looking place. We didn't stay at the hotel but we had dinner at thecrestaurant. Fun atmosphere

Yelp
I love the way they treat their guests. And they have this 7 systems water filteration that we can get water any time on every floor. And their gym is great.

Yelp
What's the Theme? I stayed here over the weekend and was not impressed. They need to decide on what theme they want, the lobby is a sleek Modern, the hallways and rooms look like the Paris las vegas ( the not updated rooms) and the pool is going for this bright color experience that wasn't kept up. The pool area looked as if they updated once with painting it bright colors but was just forgotten about and not kept up. That area has so much potential if they just worked with it. Probably wont stay here again unless I need to visit the Hospital across the street. Very Pet Friendly The staff was very friendly and accomodating and the place is VERY pet friendly. They don't charge for animals and they claim they don't have a limit on how many animals per room. They searched high and low for dog beds (although they were falling apart). They provided dog bowls, treats and even a little toy. They don't have any spot on the property for dogs to use the restroom so you have to find a small dirt spot on the sidewalk, if there isn't already feces or food thrown there. Wish they could have had a small fake patch of grass somewhere. Parking is Valet only. What held this review up was the Valet. Although a little Pricey, $55 a night, they were so accommodating in any situation. We had a friend come for the day and they really helped out with parking. I give them a big applause. Miscellaneous Make sure you ask for extra pillows, they are small and shrink down even more when you lay on them. They have clean filtered water on every floor, easily available. The restaurant food was just okay, not the best. The bar looked nice and they had a drag queen perform one night.

Yelp
We like Sofitel in Paris and Rome and we stayed here before covid. So it's more of the trip we wanted to remember the good old day. The room was big and love the new water bottle to save environment. But a big note for people who don't like noise. The back of hotel has a school so you can hear kids from as early as 8 until 4 pm. Last time we were facing Beverly shopping center so we didn't know. This time we picked facing Hollywood hill and it's a little bit too much noise for us.

Yelp
VERY UNSAFE!!! Broken Door Locks, Unhelpful Staff, & Falling Apart I would give it zero stars if I could. The hotel is falling apart. Tattered carpet and torn upholstery are only the beginning. The minibar in the room had a bright neon blue light on it, that could not be turned off, making it extremely difficult to sleep in the room, which is only compounded by the fact that the room windows do not have drapes, but rather they have shutters, so the windows cannot be fully blacked out either. Falling asleep in this room was near impossible. After switching to a room with a more hidden mini fridge, I discovered leaky faucets and torn upholstery. I don't expect much, but I expect a room that's in good condition, a room that is clean, and a room that is safe. And safety was my last concern. On my final night of my stay, I arrived back to my hotel room in the evening to find part of the lock mechanism on the floor in the hallway. The hotel staff quickly fixed it, when I let them know, but you could imagine that I did not feel exactly safe in that room following that. And when I let them know about all of this, they offered a very small credit, that didn't even amount to one night of my stay (I stayed five nights total). I had nine rooms booked at the hotel for myself, my colleagues, and my client, and I will never be booking any stays at a SOFITEL hotel again. The hotels staff handled my issues extremely poorly and did not make me feel better about anything at any point. AVOID THIS HOTEL! The restaurant is overpriced and not good. Maybe bring your own door lock and bring an eye mask!!!

Yelp
This place is very nice, and where they have flaws, the gym makes up for those shortcomings. First off, I flew to LA from NC, and it was a long day. Upon arrival, they had one of the nicest young ladies working the front desk. Kimberly made the check-in such a great experience by giving timely recommendations on food and everything the hotel had to offer. The room has a great view of the city, and the bathroom has a wonderful, downpour shower that keeps you refreshed after a long day. The room doesn't have a microwave or fridge, but they do have free alkaline water on each floor. (I was in room 842) If you are a gym fan or into your fitness journey, you will not find a better hotel gym facility than Sofitel. It has everything. State-of-the-art equipment and for your food needs, there is a Trader Joe's a mile away. Highly recommend it, and I will be here each time I visit LA until someone else can wrestle me away with better front desk staff, a better gym, and a better price.

Yelp
Our stay was made even nicer by a very friendly and wonderful bellman Eric. He made our visit so much more memorable. He gave us excellent service with a friendly smile. Five stars employee! We would come again just because of him.

Yelp
I don't know why this hotel has such bad reviews. From valet, to check in then to my stay I had such a great time. The staff is very attentive. Anytime I needed any amenities they had it to me in less than 5 minutes. I wanted to give a shout out to Enrique and the rest of the valet staff. They are so friendly, had my car down from the time I called to the time I walked downstairs. Honestly the whole hotel staff was amazing, nothing but smiles. Kimberly did my check in, she had me sign up for the loyalty program (totally free) and mentioned I would most likely get a room upgrade next stay. Thank you all!! You're great!

Yelp
Omg. I was impressed with the bar at the lobby we had a cocktail to started then we went up on the 3 floor to have dinner by the pool

Amanda B.

Yelp
My husband, infant daughter, and I stayed here for four nights visiting family and friends. Hotel staff took exceptional care of us, especially our bellhop Francis and room attendant Irma. Francis arranged for an in-room microwave and refrigerator to help with baby needs and patiently and seamlessly moved our truly insane number of bags and items in and out (first time parents here, sigh). Irma made it a pleasure to come home to the room after long days of driving and visiting, and left us the most thoughtful baby gifts to celebrate our time as a family of three. I'd like to leave the highest rating for the staff. The only issues we had with our hotel experience were the cost of parking and "urban fee" (though these are comparable with other similar hotels in the area) and loud bass from the in-house club on one of the nights (I think Friday). But again, everyone we met on the hotel team was thoughtful, kind, and truly welcoming. Hats off to them. Thank you, Sofitel Beverly Hills!

Yelp
Avoid if possible. BED BUGS I stayed here in mid October 2023. First off, I called front desk because my room smelled of mildew. First someone with an immune deficiency this is not so good. Unfortunately, they said they had no rooms, on a Thursday night. Checked online that was not true. This is worst. The first night I was so tired I fell asleep on top of the covers. The next night I slept under the covers. Don't read further if you don't like bugs. But I got several bed bug bites. Yuk. Yuk. As I had a very busy schedule, I called them a few days later to let advise they had bed bugs in room 329. They actually apologized. Stated they would have someone check the room and get back to me. Two weeks later no response. Nada. I doubt, not doubt but definitely not, stay there again! Too bad this is hotel is in a good location.

Yelp
Centrally located hotel. Great service but slightly older hotel. Would benefit from being updated. Very close to great food, Cedars Sinai and shopping. The hotel is slightly on the pricier side but very conveniently located.

Yelp
It was my second time staying here. I like the location. The bed was super comfortable. I stayed for 4 nights this time. The last evening before departure I had a horrible experience with the night manager on duty. 4th day, I extended my stay and I was given an upgraded room with two French doors openable (which was nice) however the room was facing street and around midnight there were still sports cars driving by so it was noisy. I had a hard time sleeping so I called the front desk and shared the above. The night manager answered with an attitude and said it's his property so he knows the room. He wasn't being helpful more of giving me a hard time. After an unpleasant conversation over the phone I went down to the lobby and he basically just shouted at me. In front of the other people working there and guests passing by. this was not the type of services/treatment you'd expect from a classy hotel in Beverly Hills.

Yelp
Very disappointing. We used valet to park our rental car during our stay. We left our car for the evening - the car was not damaged. The following morning, we requested the car. Right away, we noticed there was damage on the passenger door. As you can see from the photo- there are fresh small paint shavings/chips. The valet person noticed it as well and stated he had checked it - there was no damage. We were told a valet manager would call us. We explained we were going out for several hours and could be reached by cell phone if we were not in the room. No one reached out to us. Upon returning, and after not following up with us on the issue - we requested to speak with the manager again. We were told her would contact us in 5 min, after an hour we returned downstairs - valet told us the manager was filling out "paperwork" for the car - he had our keys - the car had been in their possession for about 1.25 hours at this point. At this time, they showed mark ups on a valet ticket as though the dent was there when received. We had NEVER seen this ticket before. If this ticket was available, why was this never shown to us- especially when the damage was first noticed? After the person valet person that pulled up our car in the morning said he was the one that checked in the car and there was no dent. We are very disappointed and shocked at their dishonesty as they're trying not to take accountability almost feels as though they are manifesting records of something that wasn't there at checkin. We are still currently staying at the hotel- if appropriate, this review will be updated.

Yelp
This is not a 4 star, luxury hotel. Smallish room, with ochre walls, basic furniture, one chair. Lighting was poor (the reading bulb was broken) and what luxury hotel has an old coffee machine tucked away in a drawer with packets of creamer? The bathroom had a single sink, the shower was in the tub. The bed was comfortable We wanted a coffee and snack but there was no-where in the hotel - the restaurant only serves meals and the bar area caters to drinkers and bar snacks. It converts to a dance area at night. Want to sit somewhere and catch up on your mail - good luck with that. Just low sofas adrift in dreary areas. They charge $70 a night for valet parking. Very disappointing

Bryce W.

Yelp
Every thing can be improved here. Lousy staff and management. There are nicer places for less money in the area as well.

Yelp
In the land of the blind, sofitel is the one eyed king. If you must be in the area and are using a rewards program, I'd recommend this hotel The location is great, but service varied wildly depending on where I was/ whom I was with. Desk person was lovely, while his coworker seemed annoyed. Nobody at the restaurant offered to help me at the restaurant until my partner showed up. Hmmm. Ok. The menu is short but creative enough. Friday valet was fast and friendly--much better than the weekend where I stood around waiting to be helped. (Help wasn't coming; you have to approach the booth left of the entrance) As other posters mentioned, the rooms are small and outdated as compared to the more grand lobby area. Great view of the shopping mall lol. The bed is diagonally placed to save space - watch your shins, bc that sharp bed frame is coming for 'em. Bathroom is small but well appointed. They found a place to squeeze in a mini bar if you're into that -- the Coffee maker on the other hand, is located In The closet. TLDR Nice setting with ok service. Paid extras available.

Justin P.

Yelp
The parking valet is trash do not park your car there you will be waiting hours. The staff does is not helpful and does nothing to alleviate your issues. I recommend parking at the Beverly center instead. Supper trash. I just can't say it enough. If I could give zero stars i would.

Yelp
We stay here once a year when in LA. Great location and staff. However, the condition of the rooms has declined over the years. Carpets and bathrooms need a refresh.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming French hotel, in Beverly Hills, and it exceeded all of my expectations. I worked specifically with a gentleman named Rocco, who made everything about my stay convenient and inviting. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, the room was beautifully decorated with a touch of French elegance. I walked into an inviting space with fresh pastries, delightful! The location was perfect for exploring local shops and cafes, via Uber or walking. The valet was very fast and easy! I will 10/10 be suggesting any of my family, friends and colleagues stay for the Sofitel experience!

Yelp
The gym was nice and the concierge service was excellent. The hotel is a little dated but clean.
