We enjoyed the most wonderful stay at the Sofitel Wellington on the weekend. The hotel is beautifully presented and wonderfully clean. The rooms have comfy beds and a luxurious bathrooms. The best part of the hotel however is the awesome staff. They are both professional and friendly. From the lovely lady who checked us in, the friendly housekeeping team, professional bar and restaurant staff and the most welcoming chefs working the breakfast buffet - all were excellent. We were lucky enough to be given a room upgrade on our arrival - which was a wonderful surprise. We can’t wait to stay at this lovely hotel in the future.

Our stay at Sofitel Wellington was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They were full of local knowledge and pointed us toward some fantastic nearby attractions, which really enhanced our visit. The location was perfect — close to plenty of activities and great places to explore, all within easy walking distance. We also thoroughly enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel; the food was outstanding and truly one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, we had such a memorable experience at Sofitel Wellington. Thank you to the entire team for your warm hospitality and exceptional service — we can’t wait to return!

This is an outstanding hotel. The staff are friendly, welcoming and keen to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We spent a night in a lovely room and used the club lounge for happy hour and the restaurant for breakfast. All exceeded our expectations and provided a wonderful experience while celebrating a wedding anniversary. Highly recommend the hotel as an outstanding place to stay in Wellington. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a pleasant experience.

We adored this hotel. The decadent décor with velvet armchairs, gold taps and spacious rooms is perfect. We loved the access to the exclusive lounge (particularly the pre-dinner drinks and canapes) and felt so welcome. The staff were exceptional. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel. This hotel goes above and beyond and is worth the splurge for a getaway in Wellington!

Beautiful French style Hotel with a lot of thought given to decor and presentation. Lovely rooms and bathrooms! Beds were like sleeping on clouds! Food delicious in restaurant and they provided complimentary bubbles and canapes to guests in the evening to celebrate WOW! The Staff were attentive and if anything was not quite perfect ,they went out of their way to put it right immediately! Loved our stay!!!

The room and amenities were first rate. But the thing which marked this stay for me was the excellent customer service from every single staff member. Each person was professional, engaging and proactive in meeting customer requests. Congratulations to the entire team, and special mention to Sergio. Sofitel Club room could be crowded at times, but the drinks and snacks were fantastic. And the magnificent lobby bathroom - oo la la. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

One of the standout aspects of my stay was the culinary experience. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding, with a wide variety of high-quality offerings. Every dish was prepared with great care, and the overall standard of the food was excellent. Overall, my stay at Sofitel Wellington was a truly enjoyable experience, blending comfort, luxury, and exceptional service. Elegant hotel with exceptional service. Every little detail was taken care of even cool fruit flavoured water in the lobby and a nice bed time tea and chocolates waiting for you in the evening as part of turn down service. The room service breakfasts were plentiful, Nespresso coffee in the room and the restaurant was just beautiful with amazing food. Bed was super comfy.

5 star experience here at Sofitel. The location is amazing. Situated near the Terrace Street which is a Main Street in the business area: clean, busy, safe, Sofitel is on a smaller street 2 minutes walk from the Terrace Street. Translation: it is convenient, I walked everywhere during my stay, and I feel extremely safe even at late night. Walk near the water is only 10 minutes walk. To be on Lambton Street is 10 minutes walk. To go to where the restaurants near the water is like 20-25 minutes. I highly recommend Whitebait and Charley Noble. The room here is spacious, functional and super cute. Very boutique hotel and in style.

Sofitel Wellington is a fairly new hotel in downtown Wellington. Just off a main shopping street. Service is spot on for a 5 star hotel and our room was well appointed. I didnt know but they had a fire from the restaurant and had to refurbish most of the hotel! I saw pictures of an awesome gold piano was but was sad to find out that it is gone now. Anyways I highly recommend staying at the Sofitel Wellington!

Amazing food, beautiful hotel, responsive and courteous staff. We stayed here over Christmas 2018 and they treated us extremely well, even leaving us a Christmas present at our door on the morning of the 25th. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Incredible value for what you get. Rooms are beautiful and well-maintained. Food is exceptional. Staff are highly trained. Stay here if you can.
