Google
Tried out soft peaks after all this time and all the hype I've been hearing. The service is amazing first of all, they really take their time with every customer. Prices are also very reasonable for a good quality ice cream. I really enjoyed mine and my friend loved hers. The whole staff loves dogs too. I would definitely come back again.

Google
Finally trying soft peaks after seeing it all over my Instagram feed, and I’m so happy to report that it absolutely lived up to the hype I have built up in my head over the years and then some 🥲🥲💛 First of all, the service:, it was a busy Friday night in Gastown and the Vancouver Ice Cream Festival is on. They managed to be so patient and kind throughout the entire process, and though the ordering process can be kind of confusing (you pick the topping/ flavor, then the soft serve itself/ base), they still walked us through it despite the business. The soft serve is quite unlike any ice cream we’ve tried before, you can taste its creaminess and freshness from the first bite to the end. I think what really blew us away is the little nugget of treasure they put at the bottom (if you know, you know 😉). So often, when you get to the bottom of the cone, it just feels empty without any traces of ice cream left, so I so appreciate the extra mile they go to make the whole experience just that much extra special 💛 The Gastown flavour is to die for. I can’t wait to come back to try everything else 😭

Google
I went for the black sesame when that was the monthly flavor in November and matcha this month. Loved both! The high price is justified by the high quality. This location is not in the best area but I felt safe enough during the day.

Google
Saw this place on TikTok a couple of years ago and finally tried it! I selected the Brown Sugar Pearls with the Cookie Butter soft serve base (please note that soft serve bases rotate and this specific soft serve base that I had may not be available), you also have the option to have either soft serve base or twist (two soft serve bases twisted together). Ice cream was super creamy and soft, and the pearls were surprisingly super soft. Not overly sweet, though it may it get very sweet towards the bottom, but I believe mine just got more syrup than needed. The staff were super friendly, and location is just about a couple of blocks from the steam clock, so super walkable!

Google
Finally an ice cream with less sugar made with organic milk! I liked the taste of the ice cream because it wasn't oversweetened. They have different flavored syrup and they add it to the ice cream which makes it even tastier.

Google
I love this place! Their ice cream is delicious, and you can customize it however you like. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, making it a great spot to visit. It’s such a cute place to stop by in Gastown, and it has become a staple for me!

Google
Upon the staff’s recommendation, I ordered their signature Honeycomb Ice Cream. At this shop, you can also choose from a variety of flavors for cream body, including milk, mixed, chocolate, and pistachio. (I was treated to a small sample of pistachio ice cream, which was incredibly rich and aromatic.) The honeycomb paired perfectly with the creamy milk flavor, creating a delightful combination.

Google
Pretty good ice cream and nice staff. The vanilla ice cream base lacks a little flavor for me though, and is slightly too whip-creamy.

Yelp
This spot is Vancouver's first handcrafted organic milk soft serve shop they serve unique toppings which go so well with the creamy soft serve & adds the perfect amount of sweetness I tried their blueberry, tiramisu & matcha flavours which were all so smooth & tasty my fav was the blueberry one as I really enjoyed the fruity flavour of the blueberry compote & purée Seating available inside on lower level with more on the second floor!

Yelp
I saw this place on Instagram so I had bookmarked it for our trip to Vancouver. We stopped in on a Monday at around 2 PM. It's very easy to miss because the sign is very subtle, and the storefront looks like it's closed. It's on the edge of Gastown, so it's still fine but if you walk a block or two further than this, it starts getting a bit shady. I originally wanted to try the honeycomb peak but read mixed opinions on whether or not you should eat honeycomb while pregnant. So instead, I opted for the Brown Sugar Pearls (brown sugar drizzle with tapioca pearls) and hubby had Gastown (homemade tiramisu toppings). Mine was good but nothing amazing, and nothing I couldn't find somewhere else. Hubby's was too sweet for my taste. The annoying thing was that there were little flies everywhere. One took the first bite of my ice cream before I even got the chance to. Maybe we didn't get the right flavors but I would say this spot isn't worth going out of your way for. Luckily, we were already in Gastown.

Yelp
I went to Soft Peaks and got the egg tart parfait for the Vancouver Ice Cream Festival! The ice cream was so incredibly creamy and soft and paired nicely with the egg-tart. The ice cream by itself was a bit basic and the egg-tart was just okay as there was a lot more crust than filling. However, together with the custard sauce, it was better! I really liked the design of the store though. There was a flight of stairs leading to an upstairs seating area and a mirror on the wall where you can take a cute photo. I think I'd have to try another flavour to write a better review!

Yelp
We found this spot after supper. It was super tasty and and I definitely recommend if you're looking for a cold dessert. Quaint spot with supper friendly staff. They are also quick to make your treat.

Yelp
Needed a quick pick me up after exploring Canada Place and Gastown. Hubs and I shared the seasonal Ube Sago (ube soft sweet with Sago and ube jelly). The soft serve was creamy and full of ube flavor. We liked the Sago and ube jelly with the soft serve - Not too sweet. Quite a few combinations to choose from or customize your own.

Yelp
Solid ice cream spot. It's very creamy and quite sweet. The portions are generous. I like how they give the cookie on the side so you can have some textural difference. Yummy treat if you're in the Gastown area. I quite like the tiramisu one because the cacao they add on top is thicker (?) so you can almost "chew" on it. It must be mixed with coffee as well! You can also pick your own flavours and toppings! Depending on what you like!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little gem in Gastown. It was quiet as it was a cold night. Tried the honeycomb one. The cornflakes is key in this one as the wax from the honeycomb detracts from the texture. Tried their seasonal matcha one which wasn't bad as I am a fan of red bean. Overall it was great and they even have seating upstairs.

Yelp
Great place to grab a quick sweet treat during the summer. The ice cream is super creamy and rich. Eat quickly or it will melt in the summer heat.

Yelp
Soft Peaks in Vancouver is a go-to spot for ice cream enthusiasts looking for a creamy and satisfying treat. During my visit, I couldn't help but appreciate the smoothness of their ice cream and the genuine flavors of their toppings. The matcha flavor at Soft Peaks was an absolute delight. The creamy and velvety texture of the ice cream combined with the distinct earthy notes of matcha created a truly enjoyable experience with the red bean toppings. It was a refreshing and indulgent treat for matcha lovers like myself. We also had the pleasure of trying their Gastown tiramisu flavor, and it did not disappoint. The layers of delicate flavors, reminiscent of the classic Italian dessert, were skillfully infused into the ice cream. It provided a delightful combination of rich coffee, sweet mascarpone, and a hint of cocoa. Each spoonful was a heavenly experience. While the ice cream itself was exceptional, I must mention that the overall ambiance of Soft Peaks felt a bit cluttered during my visit. This affected the overall aesthetic appeal of the place. Additionally, I noticed a notable presence of flies near the main entrance, which was a bit distracting. Despite these factors, the quality of the ice cream remained consistent and enjoyable. Soft Peaks continues to be a fantastic destination for ice cream lovers. The exceptional smoothness of their ice cream and the genuine flavors of their toppings make it a worthwhile visit.

Yelp
This is one of the fairly popular ice cream spots in Vancouver, with a wide selection of ice cream offerings. I tried the North Pole with uji matcha ice cream, which is a milk ice cream with matcha drizzled on top. This allows opportunity to taste both the ice cream base itself and the matcha flavor separately if you wish. The ice cream is beautifully presented, and the restaurant has nice decor to take some nice food pics. The frosted flakes on top were a bit stale, which was a miss, but otherwise, the ice cream is solid for a quick dessert fix in the city. Parking could be a bit challenging as it is paid street parking, but this is to be expected in a prime city location.

Yelp
This was worth the long walk I took today to get there. The store is in a cool spot in the heart of gas town and has a nice upstairs seating if you don't want to take it to go. Since I'm in Canada I really wanted some maple syrup so I got a vanilla ice soft serve with maple syrup and cereal flakes. The cereal flakes made it crunchy and paired with the maple nicely, though they could have been slightly newer. It was a great treat to eat while I waited for the gas town clock to go off

Yelp
The store was cleaned!! I ordered Green Forest...I would like to try matcha soft cream but it was unavailable for sale.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the past 6-7 years at least. It's a must go to for me when I visit Vancouver, and it's not a trip to Vancouver if I don't have this ice cream. If you don't pay attention to where you're going, you're likely to miss it. But boy it's really a hidden gem. I love how they always have seasonal items and flavors. They recently added a chocolate and swirl option, but in my opinion, the milk flavor is the way to go. One of my favorite soft serve places ever. They have never disappointed me !
google avatar

Mia H.

Yelp
When visiting Gastown, my friend and I stopped here first after seeing it on the internet. Inside, it's a pretty spacious place and very bright. I love how they decorated and displayed their menu as well having a variety of unique options for their soft serve. Since my friend and I are ardent matcha fans, we tried both of the matcha soft serves and they were delicious. The portion was smaller than I thought, but it was so rich and dense that I ended up not being able to finish it haha. Definitely a really good soft serve shop and I will for sure come back again to try other flavors!

Yelp
Pretty good soft serve ice cream!!! The pricing is fantastic for the portion they give you. I got the mudslide and highly recommend for all of the chocolate lovers! The staff was friendly, and the place has a comfy cool sitting area on the second floor

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Soft Peaks! My brother brought me here once around five years ago and I was happy to find out that they are still in Gastown. I remember the honeycom being great, but they were unfortunately sold out / out of stock so I was unable to order that. Instead, I got the Mudslide - soft serve with chocolate drizzle and Timtams. Don't be fooled, the size of the cup looks really small but they really fill the cup with ice cream and toppings so you can definitely go for a smaller size than you think. I really loved the Timtams with the dark chocolate and milk chocolate twist. Timtams are a great snack on their own, and their crumbs add a lot of texture to the ice cream. Would love to come back and try more of their flavors another time when walking around Gastown!

Yelp
Haven't been here in years and it seems like nothing has changed. There's not a lot of room inside since the upstairs is closed, but that's okay since dine-in is not available anyway. There weren't many people around when I went on Sunday and everyone was good about waiting outside until there was room inside to distance. I ordered the seasonal special pear cinnamon and it tasted like fall :) I like that their soft serve isn't very sweet, just very very creamy, which goes really well with the pear syrup. Otherwise it might have been too sweet. Everything was really good, though quite expensive at $7 for a regular cup.

Yelp
A small ice cream shop that serves ice cream sundaes made with Avalon organic milk and premium toppings. The organic milk gives it a touch of sweetness, and a luscious creamy texture. Resulting in a refreshing and creamy dessert that is all-natural, and lower in calories and fat than normal ice cream. We ordered the Small Gastown ($6.75) Signature twist topped with home-made Tiramisu toppings. A luxurious tiramisu eating experience. The ice cream matches perfectly with the bitterness of the cocoa power and espresso. Since it's all liquid there was no powder or cake dryness you would normally get from a tiramisu if the ladyfingers weren't soaked with enough espresso. Absolutely delicious. Small Green Forest ($6.25) Organic Premium Matcha powder, sweet red beans, and condensed milk on top. Matcha flavors were very strong and was well balanced with the sweetness of the red beans and condensed milk. Staff was nice and I liked their decor and how their menu looked. Overall, this is a great place for ice cream. They strive on local and organic ingredients making it tastier and slightly "healthier" then other ice cream places. Will come again to try the other flavors.

Yelp
The soft serve is really good will come back to try other flavours! The shake is just too sweet for us.

Yelp
Perfect on a hot summer day! Enjoyed their velvety soft serve with refreshing Yuzu marmalade. I really want to go back and try more of their flavors!!

Laetitia M.

Yelp
Really tasty ice creamy! We appreciate the organic milk! It's not common! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Not special ice cream. Not that tasteful and customer service was not that welcoming. Looks expensive for what you get.

Yelp
I love coming here for their super smooth and creamy soft serves. Plus they have an assortment of flavours which I love. * Green forest (S -$6 || R - $7) ~ I love this as it's my GO TO order! Matcha powder with red bean and condensed milk! I mean who doesn't love that combination! I love all things red bean and condensed milk so the matcha is a bonus! The icecream is soft and smooth and the red bean is nicely cooked. Perfect amount of condensed milk and matcha. * Blue mountain (S- $5.75 | R -$6.75) ~ got it with chocolate and blueberry syrup. Weird combination and the flavours were...interesting. I personally like the vanilla I soft serve more as it's more creamy and milky and it just tastes way better with blueberry syrup. * Rocky mountain (S- $5.50 | R- $6.50) ~ got it with twist and matcha syrup, the coconut was a nice added texture on top. Twist cone is good. * 9/10 ~ green forest is the way to go 100% taste the best! Wish it had a bit more condensed milk. * 7/10 ~ not too bad for the price but I wish there was a bit more toppings. * 10/10 ~ grab and go!

Yelp
Cute little spot for soft serve located in gastown and tucked away in a corner. Was in a mood for ice cream on a sunny Vancouver day, and decided to pop by. I ordered the small matcha mori ($6.25) which comes with a matcha mochi cookie and a matcha shot over the soft serve. I opted for the twist (milk & matcha) and it was super yummy! Good creamy taste, prominent matcha flavor and not too sweet!

Rewati K.

Yelp
Worst ice cream I've ever had in my life. Their organic milk soft serve tasted like baby food; literally just like milk in a soft serve form because it had absolutely no flavour whatsoever, not even sugar. Their toppings are a joke too. I got the sunrise in California and they have the audacity to charge $6 for what is essentially a flavourless swirl of milk topped with marmalade you can buy from a store. My husband got the Himalayan salt one and believe me when I say McDonald's does a better job with the taste of the ingredients used. Do better if you're going to charge exorbitant prices for below-par quality and flavours that are basically just a bunch of tasteless ingredients thrown together.
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
I'm shocked this place has only 3.5 stars...I've had quite a lot of soft serve (esp Asian style), and this place beats out places in LA and Houston for me! Can't speak for the other flavors, but I went for what I usually get at these places - the honeycomb (and added extra honey drizzle on top, which I recommend!). The ice cream is SO creamy and soft, not icy at all (which I can't stand in soft serve), and the honeycomb is actually super delicious (you don't get nearly as much wax as at other places; it's very delicate). The cereal at the bottom is an added crunch and makes it so unique! 10/10 would revisit.

Yelp
Who cares if it's -1 outside, we're still getting our ice cream fix! There are so many ice cream shops in the lower mainland, this was our first time trying Soft Peaks. We got sucked in by their current seasonal special, which is Mont Blanc (chestnut) and we totally had to get our hands on it. There were chestnut chunks and sweetened chestnut purée throughout the entire cup. It was very enjoyable as there was a good balance of chestnut and ice cream in every bite. The chestnut purée was very smooth and the sweetness didn't overpower the chestnut flavour at all. We also got their signature Gastown flavour, which is topped with tiramisu toppings. This was STRONG in flavour! The top was coated with cocoa powder, with a biscotti biscuit on the side. Every bite tasted as if we were eating a tiramisu ice cream cake. TIP: There is a limit of 30 Mont Blanc's per day, you can reserve yours ahead of time by sending them a DM on Instagram. The Mont Blanc is only available until January 31, 2021!

Yelp
OMG. THIS. ICECREAM. IS. AMAZING. I'm so glad I was recommended to visit Soft Peaks from some friends who live in Vancouver. Situated in Gastown is the modest Soft Peaks. You definitely won't miss it on the busy Alexander St. Known for their milk based (opposed to whole cream) soft serve ice cream - soft peaks has a unique taste which is so delightful. It's light and fluffy at the same time being creamy. I decided to get the honeycomb sundae at the associates suggestion - she said this was the best seller. It came with a really honeycomb chunk along with some corn flakes at the bottom (sort of like a twist on cereal milk). Oh my gosh was it sure delicious. If you are in Vancouver you have to come to this spot for ice cream it's unbelievably good. It is a bit on the pricier side but comparable to most ice cream these days (around $7). PLUS - it's very instagrammable! There is limited seating inside but you can easily find a park bench nearby!

Yelp
Soft Peaks has been around for awhile but I've always heard mixed reviews. We originally had planned to drop into Cartems for after dinner donuts but they ran out! Our closest option was SP so we walked back to try them out. We walked in on a Saturday night (around 7:30pm) and it was dead. The inside is bright and happy with a small upstairs if you want to sit. They've got milkshakes, ice milk bars and 10 flavours to choose from. There's three soft serve flavours (organic milk, dark chocolate and twist). - Mudslide ($6.50 regular) - Tim tam crumbs and chocolate syrup. L went with the twist soft serve (milk and dark chocolate). Tim tams is beloved in Australia: tasty chocolate bites. - Gastown special ($7.50 regular) - in house made tiramisu toppings. It came with a single piece of ladyfinger. The tiramisu flavour was okay but that disappears once you get past the first few bites. The soft serve itself was disappointing; wish the texture was firmer. Pretty overpriced for what you get. One visit was good enough.

Yelp
3.5 stars! I had bookmarked this place and was super excited to visit them while checking out Gastown. Soft Peaks reminds me a lot of Honeymee (Los Angeles, Ca) and or Milk Cow (Fremont, Ca). It's very creamy and thick, but not overly sweet (depending on the toppings you choose). I love that you can taste the pure organic milk flavor. My boyfriend and I shared a regular sized Blackcomb, which is the original organic milk soft serve with a shot of cold expresso drizzled on top. It had a great light taste to it and the expresso wasn't overly bearing. The topping to soft serve ratio was pretty good, but overall nothing spectacular. Service was courteous, but it did take FOREVER for our order to come out. Maybe like 20-30 minutes. A little too long for me. Interior is clean and cute, but a bit small. Many people were crowding the front as they were waiting for their orders. There are additional seating upstairs, but very limited. It seems like it's more of a grab-and-go kind of place.

Yelp
Ice cream taste testThis cute ice cream shop in gastown has organic vanilla soft ice cream, topped a number of ways. Ice cream's always a tasty, but I wouldn't say this is number 1 on my list

Lucia B.

Yelp
A little goldmine with delicious ice cream. Only negative is they need an extra staff member on really busy or hot days so it flows faster.
google avatar

Silvia L.

Yelp
This is one of the ice cream shops that I will never come if simply based on reviews on Yelp. My friend said she came here at least once a month during her study at UBC. I am a big fan of Matcha. Their Green Forest is matcha flavored with sweet red bean in it. Not too sweet, highly recommended if you are also Matcha fan.
google avatar

Franco C.

Yelp
Good milkshakes and ice cream with a noble mission of sustainability. They source ingredients from local farms and vendors. Their shakes are very tasty and not heavy, Espresso shake had a great coffee and.milk taste. Strawberry shake was.smooth and not sweet, more like home made. Place is a few meters from Maple tree square in Gastown , so definitely try it out in the middle of your walk in Gastown. Very friendly staff and relaxed setting or easy to take out.
google avatar

Kirk K.

Yelp
Small quiet friendly little soft serve place right in the middle of gastown. A very small simple menu offering a few milk based soft serve flavors and a twist then paired with toppings. On the wall behind the staff are about 12 different suggested pairings or you can create your own. I ordered the honeycomb twist which comes with cereal on the bottom and a honeycomb. Without anything to compare it to, I felt having one blob of honeycomb on the side wasn't worth the money. I was able to break some into bite size pieces but 1/3 of it I tried to eat whole...too thick and syrupy. The soft serve itself was delicious. Very soft but not melting to quick, fresh and flavorful. Only reason I'm reviewing a 4-star was the presentation and I was expecting the cups to be more extravagant vs what I felt was a pretty simple dessert.
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
hadnt been to this place in a while...so when i was in the area after dinner, i said: "why not! lol nothin could be more some than soft serve ice cream with your choice of quality toppings like expresso, classic honeycomb, etc... it is not your typical fast food soft serve...this one is the Ace of soft serves! very smooth, rich and creamy and not loaded with sugar. they let the cream do the talking. i got the classic honeycomb with frosted flakes at the bottom...very very nice! no guilty feelings afterwards..;) a plus factor is that the ice cream doesn't melt easily...and the toppings are premium ingredients. only negative I can think of is Price! for a soft serve, yes, it is pricey! but once in a while...guess its ok! however, you can actually taste the difference quality makes! cant beat this sweet treat! cheers! happy eating!
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
Love soft peaks! One of the best soft serve places in town. Always a favourite treat for a hot and sunny day. We got the strawberry summer special, it came with strawberries and cereal - pretty classic - and topped it off with maple syrup. The maple syrup was surprisingly good with soft serve! Definitely recommend if you're willing to spend a bit of coin on a classic summertime fave
google avatar

Marc L.

Yelp
Great concept, mediocre execution. Plus side: organic milk. Tim Tams crushed on ice cream. Imaginative flavors and combinations. Negative side: little seating, blah flavor and texture of ice cream, overpriced. Got a sundae with combo recommended by the counter guy, so this had the potential to be great. The eating was blah and no way worth the calories, fat, sugar, and cost. Would not return.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
We wanted to go for a walk and get some ice cream after dinner, and my "AroundMe" app pointed me to this place. This is like premium soft serve ice cream with high quality ingredients that taste almost "healthy" lol. Honeycomb peak with swirl soft serve - the honeycomb is so good! It tastes fresh and natural, soft and gooey chewy. It was the best part of my dessert. To my surprise, the dark chocolate soft serve was sweeter than the vanilla. The vanilla tasted very milky. The cereal on the bottom was good but not amazing. I wish the cereal flakes were on top though so I didn't have to dig all the way down the cup for them. Overall a good experience. For the price at around $6, I'm just not sure if I'd get this again over other types of ice cream though.
google avatar

Rio F.

Yelp
The dark chocolate swirl was a little too much to pair with the gastown flavor. I feel like the smallest size would've been the best portion to have as a desert - the regular was very big!! Couldn't finish it. The milk flavor was very nice and smooth, liked how it paired with the chocolate drizzle
google avatar

Priscilla Y.

Yelp
Great ice cream that is creamy, not too sweet and definitely a pure and clean milk flavour. Texture is extremely smooth and thick as I got to try the original peak twist in a cup of dark chocolate and milk with some corn flakes on the bottom. The milk flavour itself is hardly sweetened with a deep and concentrated milk flavour and it was obvious that the ingredients were high quality! The dark chocolate twist though i also loved as it was again not too sweet but had that bitter chocolate flavour! The crunch of the bit of corn flakes also added to the texture but i wish they weren't put on the bottom as it was consumed with melted ice cream. Overall, the prices are not too high for a huge portion of creamy soft serve that is perfect for those that do not like their desserts too sweet.

Yelp
Came because a colleague wanted to try it out and we were in the neighborhood. The first thing I noticed was how SMALL their regular cups for $7+ were, so imagine how small the actual small size would be. It's my first time here so I wasn't sure I'd like it; I wisely choose the small size for $6+. When we got the soft serves, I noticed the small and regular size had pretty much the same height, but just in a different sized cup. Very photogenic soft serves but when it comes to taste, it's not memorable. The different flavors are just different toppings put on the same basic milk soft serve which didn't actually have any taste of its own. The soft serves were also not that soft... I had the Honeycomb and was not a fan. It came with a clump of honeycomb on top and I had to bite off a piece of honey every time I took a spoonful of tasteless soft serve. Too much work involved. Same with trying to get to the crunchy cornflakes on the bottom of the cup. I tried my colleagues Blueberry and the Matcha & Red Bean, both toppings tasted better than the Honeycomb. If I had to come again, I'd choose the Matcha. That is if going elsewhere wasn't a choice... +1* for serving organic products.

Yelp
About me: Ice cream lover, ice cream fan, ice cream tryer-outer, ice cream friend. Not to the extent of others I know, but I never met a bowl of the stuff I would turn down. To my delight, I found this place on the Yelp app and figured I would swing by on my first night in Vancouver. It's all kind of a blur now, but they have soft serve, and plenty of interesting toppings like cereal as well as classic chocolatey things. I asked them to recommend me the best, and they said honeycomb. Who am I to argue? Honeycomb it was, and it was the right choice. I gobbled it down, and thought about my own flavor ideas I had tossed over and over. It's an idea in my head. A life: make ice cream, infuse it with flavors from the garden, and now I was adding a new dream for that garden life of bliss I want to have: raise bees for the honeycomb for the ice cream.
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
I walked all the way from the sea wall up through Coal Harbour and across gas town just so I can get to soft peaks. I was really craving ice cream and this is the only place I was craving. The ice cream is so organic it tastes like 3% milk straight out of the jug. Instead of adding a bunch of sugar the honeycomb Peak which has a real chunk of honeycomb inside. You bite off a piece of that as you eat the ice cream and it's a natural sweetness that you just can't beat. Be sure to try the ice cream on its own for the first few bites that you can taste the real real milk flavour.

Yelp
My friends from back east (Toronto and Montreal) always recommend this place. Personally I had never heard of it until they told me about it and I have lived in Vancouver for years. During the pandemic they went to a take out only model and I think they limited the number of offerings. But I saw their blueberry soft ice cream on special and decided to try it. And it was delicious! It was a different type of soft serve with a lot of toppings and flavors. But it wasn't bad for around $7-8 (from what I remember.) They were not accepting cash at the time so if you do stop by, bring plastic. This was one of the few places that was still open into the night in Gastown when I strolled by.

Yelp
This would be a 4 star review if it was based on the quality of the soft serve alone. So let's start with that: I came in and split a small twist soft serve and it was insanely delicious. The twist was milk and dark chocolate soft serve swirled together without any toppings - just pure soft serve goodness. Wow. This is seriously good soft serve - you can taste and feel the quality of the milk instantly and each flavour was delicious in its own light. The chocolate was rich and deep without being metallic and the milk was tangy in the way that good dairy should be. Often with soft serve the first couple of bites ante good and then it ends up being a bit disappointing- this was the opposite it got better the more we ate! The biggest let down was the service - which was unusually unwelcoming for Vancouver and very unhelpful. If they can improve their hospitality I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone in the area!

Yelp
I've been to Soft Peaks on two occasions when visiting Vancouver and I enjoyed the ice cream. It's made with organic milk and there are some cool flavour combinations. I tried the Mudslide (pictured) and Honeycomb Peak. I preferred the Mudslide which is chocolate soft serve topped with Tim Tam flakes (a type of cookie / biscuit), which gave it an awesome crunch. The Honeycomb was definitely interesting but a bit too sweet for me, although they use the original vanilla flavour to offset the sweetness. Often big line ups on the weekends I've gone there in the summer. Photo taken by @CheatEatsTO, my food Instagram.

Yelp
Got the original with honeycomb! The milk base tastes like milk froyo! Not sweet at all. I'm a fan of natural flavors and also of milk, so this was a good... Not so sweet dessert! Corn flakes and a dab of honey was perfect! The only downside is that the honey comb, if u keep eating it, and chewing it... Til you've devoured all the honey.. You're left with this plasticy chewy substance. That I end up spitting out. Cause I don't want to ingest plastic :P A bit on the pricier side, but would still come back to try more! Plus, it's such a nice atmosphere to walk around gas town :)

Yelp
One of my favourite ice cream places in the city! What a uniquely milky and luxurious texture and taste! I love the flavours and the toppings they offer too; all of the flavours I've tried are so yummy but I love the original the best (topped with honey).
