Soho Boutique Colón

I have used the Soho Boutique chain several times, and once again Soho Boutique Colón in Málaga proved why I continue to return. Unfortunately, I had to cancel a recent booking due to severe flooding in my area in Ireland. The hotel handled the situation with absolute professionalism and understanding. They were excellent in every way — compassionate, efficient, and incredibly accommodating during what was a stressful time. Their response only strengthened my confidence in the brand. On previous stays, the hotel has consistently delivered first-class comfort, style, and outstanding service. The location is superb, the rooms are immaculate, and the atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming. As a National Guide from Ireland, I experience hotels regularly and understand the importance of genuine hospitality. I would have no hesitation in recommending Soho Boutique Colón — and the wider Soho Boutique group — to every kind of traveller. I would also strongly suggest booking directly with the hotel, as the service and communication are second to none. A truly professional and customer-focused team. I didn’t find anything wrong with this hotel. It met our needs perfectly. They arranged with someone to pick us up at the airport after midnight when our plane got in and dropped us right off at the front door of this hotel where someone came out to meet us and help us with our luggage. The room was nice and on exactly the floor I wanted with palm trees and parakeets right outside the window. The bathroom felt sumptuous with a nice rainfall shower and the bed was big and comfortable. They had a fully stocked mini bar and I did have a water out of it which they didn’t charge me for. The breakfast was good the next morning, nice selection. The hotel is located right near old town and was easy to get to the things we wanted to see within a 15 minute walk. Decorated nicely, I’d definitely recommend this hotel. I got it for a good price too and felt well looked after. They watched over our luggage after we checked out so we could do some sightseeing and called us a taxi when we were ready to leave. A1 service.

Booked this hotel via Booking.com. Hotel is noted as being pet friendly as one of the hotels benefits. Informed them that we were traveling with a dog. When we arrived in one of the worst storms to hit Malaga a day early as Booking.com showed availability, which the hotel had and they reserved the room but when we brought in our Collie "Cooper" they said he was 9kg to big! Bookings web site stated that the hotel was pet friendly but apparently only upto 10kg, which yes it does state BUT only in the fine print. We could not stay but we were charged. I explained to both Booking.com and the hotel that the 10kg aspect was not made clear, only the PET FRIENDLY aspect was shoved in my face and I requested money back. The hotel said it was all my fault basically. Who reads the fine print when making such a booking. If your a pet friendly hotel, your a pet friendly hotel, not pet friendly as long as the dog is 60cm high, is under 10kg and hops on one leg, how ridiculous. The hotel was worse than useless and offered no help, even though we were in a shocking storm and the alerts from the Spanish government were to not travel. Hotel looks far better in the pictures. I suggest you book elsewhere as there is no parking and the desk staff seem to think they are better than everyone else.

Fantastic location right next to the train station and a extremely short walk to the city centre. You can catch the C1 train straight from the airport and walk 5 minutes to get to the hotel. Rooms were extremely clean, spacious with modern furnishings. Bathroom was large with lots of space and a shower that heated up quickly. The towels were large and fluffy

Very comfortable and excellently located. Some weird design choices inside, though, like encasing the tv behind a mirror. But extremely convenient for staying before or after visiting the Alhambra.

Great location for your Malaga stroll, on the edge of old town. There are multiple grocery shops in the neighborhood, along with great brewery around the corner. Rooms are not big, but are comffortable with all the amenities you need, hotel looks great and taken care of, from the moment you step in you are welcomed by friendly staff, fragrant and climatized halls. Downside was the cleanliness of the bathroom in our room, lot of hair from prevoius guests on the shower walls.

We arrived a bit early and the room wasn’t available, so we left our bags and went for a walk. The hotel itself is very well located being at the edge of the walking area in Malaga. Once we had access to the room, the room itself was very nicely decorated and felt really clean. It wasn’t particularly large but adequate. The bed itself was two singles pushed together with two separate sheets for eat bed which as a preference for a double bed wasn’t a good start. |The bathroom itself was really well decorated but a very irritating point was that the toilet roll was not on a toilet roll holder which was a first for a so called boutique hotel for me.|The breakfast was small but adequate for most peoples needs, the room itself was set in a beautiful lower ground floor with glass cabinets full of wine bottles surrounding the seating area. |Overall a pleasant stay due to the location but given that some of the basics were missing and taking into account the high cost of the stay I would research elsewhere to stay

The Rooms are spacious and comfortable! The staff was helpful and gave good recommendations on what to do in the nearby area! The downside was the breakfast, it’s located in the basement (it’s a wine cellar so that’s better than nothing), so you don’t get any natural light and it all feels a bit crammed. The food itself was not either that good, the bread was dry and the selections few. It would also help to know what kind of cheese, ham and juice it is. There were around 4 different and no information about what they were. I would skip breakfast if it’s not included in your stay.
