Visited November 2025 for one night. A friendly welcome, an offer to store our bags as we arrived at 9am and checkin is not until 2pm. A very clean and neat room with a comfortable bed. Quiet and peaceful overnight and a good sleep. A great location in the centre of Brisbane. There's no lift/elevator so ask for a ground floor room if this is an issue for you. The room I got was quite small - fine for a night or two but maybe tougher if you're staying a week. The restaurant in the basement was not operating when I was there, although there's plenty of others to choose from close by. I paid about A$130 which represented good value to me.

From the reviews I didn’t expect much infact I honestly thought about staying somewhere else but Let’s be real for a second it’s a cheap hotel and much nicer then it’s made out to be I probably would go for something a little nicer if I was staying in Brisbane for longer period of time or staying with my partner for a nice weekend but let’s tackle some of the negatives Your staying in a hotel located in a part of town called Spring Hill so yeah it’s a steep trek but honestly do your research it isn’t that bad probably a little inconvient but it’s super close to city centre There’s homeless or tents in a lot of the park areas and I’ve travelled a lot and Brisbane is by far the best for down town homelessness the video of the tent try going to a us city or Vancouver or London The room was small and minimal but for like 115 a night you should know what your getting realistically $60 gets you a hostel room The towels and rooms where fine the shower pressure was actually surprisingly good The big problem is you almost feel lied to on booking.com it’s been cleverly pictured and advertised but if your staying for a night or stuck in the city it really isn’t that bad

Great location and budget friendly. Only downside may be the room size and a bit old school. But overall , nice stay and convenient as this is close to one of Brisbane’s prime location Coach Terminal.

We just stayed for 4 nights at soho hotel. We paid for a hotel service but got a self service experience. Our second day there we noticed the cleaning staff had not even touched our room all day or asked for cleaning, so the next day we told the reception that we did not have any cleaning yesterday and she said it is supposed to be everyday but we must personally request this. Something we have never heard of before but nonetheless we asked for our rooms to be cleaned that day and the following day, which she said she has made a note of. Our room was eventually cleaned that day but the next day we had no cleaning again. However, on the day of check out, the cleaners were not shy to knock on our door at 9:30am asking us to clean the room because it’s our check out day (checkout was not until 11am). This highlighted the fact that the cleaners were being lazy during our stay and clearly only clean rooms when they know they absolutely have to clean them. This should not be the case in a hotel service. We were also very disappointed to see that there was not even a sign we could put on the door to ask for room cleaning… really simple stuff you would expect in a hotel. We also noticed a stain on the towel one of the cleaners gave us that was supposedly ‘clean’ which just highlights negligence to their guests. Please hold your cleaners accountable for cleaning all rooms during hotel stays. Even if it is not a change of bedding/towels. At least make the beds / top up coffee/tea/ change bins.

DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give zero stars I would. We stayed for two nights at the end of October. We arrived and were directed to the hotel opposite by signs that said the hotel was closed. After collecting our key from the neighbouring hotel we went back to our allocated room and it hadn’t been cleaned. Clearly no one had touched it since the previous client had left. We went back to the next door hotel who called someone from our hotel who told them there was no other rooms so we would have to stay in the UNCLEANED ROOM but would receive a refund. I had to clean the room and hunt for fresh bedding and towels so we didn't have to sleep in a dirty bed. We complained to Booking.com who haven’t been able to contact the hotel owners and we have received absolutely no compensation.

Ray was a ray of sunshine! He was incredibly helpful and sweet! Recommend some fantastic locations and arranged a perfect room for us. We are incredibly grateful for his service and kindness. The room was perfect with all amenities we could possibly ask for. We had a greater view from our balcony, a spotless room with plenty of space and everything we could need. Hair drier, toiletries and even wine glasses to enjoy our last night in Australia on the balcony. Thank you so much Ray!

Upon arrival, we discovered that our room had been double-booked, even though we only made one reservation. While we were standing at the reception, another guest came in and reported that she had been sent to a room where two people were already in bed — a clear sign of chaotic room management. Our room itself was not clean, and the balcony door was stuck so badly that after stepping outside, I couldn’t get back into the room. Someone eventually came to open the door for me, but they didn’t look further into the issue. Afterwards, the door remained jammed in an open position. When i asked for a new room they did not want to give me a new one. The stay was very disappointing and did not meet our expectations at all.

The room was fresh & clean. Comfortable bed & pillows with crisp linen . There is a balcony with chairs. Good showers . Very close to Roma st station. A free bus out front to Queen street Mall. Ray on front desk is friendly & professional. Over I think SOHO motel is the best value for money. Thank you.
