Ray was a ray of sunshine! He was incredibly helpful and sweet! Recommend some fantastic locations and arranged a perfect room for us. We are incredibly grateful for his service and kindness. The room was perfect with all amenities we could possibly ask for. We had a greater view from our balcony, a spotless room with plenty of space and everything we could need. Hair drier, toiletries and even wine glasses to enjoy our last night in Australia on the balcony. Thank you so much Ray!

The room was fresh & clean. Comfortable bed & pillows with crisp linen . There is a balcony with chairs. Good showers . Very close to Roma st station. A free bus out front to Queen street Mall. Ray on front desk is friendly & professional. Over I think SOHO motel is the best value for money. Thank you.

Have stayed here many times. Best place to stay in Brisbane. All of the staff are so lovely and go above and beyond. Rooms are awesome. Cleanliness is exceptional. Beds comfortable. Location is central and convenient. Our home away from home.

The staff here are warm, welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The rooms are spotless. We highly recommend staying here especially with its close proximity to the Brisbane Private Hospital. Just great people providing a great service. Will definitely be back.

Nice and comfortable rooms..... Literally a stones throw to Queen St and the city......and the Roma street train station. Which was handy coming from the airport. Friendly staff at the front desk.....who were very helpful. Rooms cleaned everyday I was there. Will definitely be booking again for my next trip.

This hotel reception operates ftom 8am to 8pm if your arrival time is not during this period, be not worried the hotel staff will contact you and give details how to accede your room. The room is very nice that all rooms have terrace for looking the the front park. It’s clean and tidy. Staffs are very helpful , not only checkin/out but also travelling information .

Booked a room 8 weeks ago for our weekend trip to Brisbane all fully paid for. Requested a queen bed and a room that allowed smoking on balcony. Arrived yesterday to check in the lady at reception was rude only half answered questions. In regards to why my requests not met considering the booking was well made in advance. Room was booked under my name yet wanted my partners licence as well and for him to also fill out paperwork asked why? Lady then handed my licence and phone back and said she was cancelling my booking. Disgusting way to treat customer. I then had the task to find another motel for our stay. As we travel quite frequently this is the only time we've accounted problems like this. Would not recommend.

I flew for Houston to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia to take a crazy repositioning cruise headed for Seattle. I searched for and researched hotels in Brisbane for ease of access to public transportation and, of course, price. This was my first trip to Australia and I knew I would need to run into some helpful folks to get my bearings.||I picked this hotel based on the Tripadvisor reviews for a manager named Ray. I'm glad to say that Ray made me look like a genius for picking The Soho Brisbane. Ray communicated with me several times by email and assured me everything would be okay with my solo trip to the land down under.||I don't know if it's the norm in Australia, but it seems that quite a few hotels do not have 24 hour check in and customer service. That's the case at The Soho. The lobby opens at 8:00 a.m., but Ray unlocked the doors at around 7:30 a.m. The lobby was functional but cramped. There were several people that had flown in with me on a very early arriving flight. I met two other couples who told me that won't stay anywhere else but The Soho when they are in Brisbane. I knew I had made a good hotel choice.||Ray said the hotel sells out every night, but the hotel cleaning staff was already hard at work and he offered a free check in once a room of my type was ready. You won't believe this, but I was in a room by 9:00 a,m. Perfect. Far better than the 2 p.m. check in time. Ray saw that I was struggling with my luggage and he even helped me get my bags to my room.||That was great because there is a pretty good incline to get to the entry door and the entry door requires a code to get in. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. There was coffee and tea in the room. The barebones bathroom is old timey, but functional. PRO TIP for Americans: bring an electric outlet converter. Australian plugs only.||Ray was better than Google with area directions and public transportation tips. I got to walk over to the Financial District for shopping and dining. The Soho's restaurant was out of commission due to the severe tropical storm flooding the week before my arrival. There is a great park across the street from the hotel for a beautiful morning walk. No breakfast at the hotel, but tons of options within a quarter mile.||The hotel was perfect for me without Ray, but Ray made the stay special. He was gracious with all the guests and I hope he is there when I go back. Ray even helped me walk my luggage down to my Uber.||So, the area is great. the room was great
