Have done my hair for a couple of years. Service has never been great but once you get past all of the ignorant comments about certain types of hair it was okay. At my last appointment, the price went from around $95 to $170 and when I asked why, the owner had an absolute hissy fit and said she couldn’t do my hair anymore. Just because I asked why she was increasing the price so much. Will never go back and would not recommend.

My experience at SOHO Hair was great! I received a men's haircut. My hair was past my shoulders. I asked for a cut just above my shoulders and a style that I could slick back. The stylist did a perfect job. The price was fair and the cut was quick. I will definitely be going back to her for my next haircut.

BLONDES BEWARE!!! Do NOT under any circumstances go to this salon if you have blonde hair. I went in for a freshen up of my existing blonde highlights to get them creamy again … I walked out with YELLOW & GINGER hair! I showed a pic of exactly what I wanted (a pic of my last freshen up a few months earlier). Yet they did not have the technical expertise to do this, even though they assured me they could. I was very unhappy & returned to get it fixed - there was no change. I contacted the owner for a refund of my $300 as they were unable to fix it. She’s blatantly refused yet suggested I come back in for a third time & she would ‘fix’ it for me. Asking her for creamy blonde highlights as per my pic, yet I walked away with BROWN hair!!!! I was crying in the chair as she belatedly refused to accept that she had messed up and made my hair brown instead of a creamy light blonde. She kept repeating that she came in on her night off to fix it and she and her staff have “wasted hours on me” to do my hair. No apology. No refund. No customer service at all. I was made to feel that I had wasted their time when I was extremely dissatisfied with the service I paid for. Appalling!!!!! DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE.

I paid $180 to look like a broccoli. I showed them a reference photo of ME, it’s not like it’s someone else unachievable. I LOOK LIKE A BROCCOLI

Two months ago I went here for my first perm. I left the salon with my hair stinking, the hairdresser was unable to put a comb through it, it looked and felt like scouring pads and she couldn't even dry it though dripping wet and it was cold. I had no idea as first perm but after going to my normal hairdresser today he said the hairdresser has accidentally put more perming solution on rather than neutraliser and my hair has been chemically damaged. I understand mistakes but being made to pay $285 and not told is not acceptable and it must have been obvious to her that something had gone wrong. Own up and try to fix the problem. You knew I didn't know what to expect and NEVER have I had such a bad experience ANYWHERE. I am going to have to shave my head to get rid of my chemically damaged hair. NOT ACCEPTABLE for a buisness to operate this way.
