Soho House São Paulo

Pros: The house is stunning, the rooms are stunning, the gym is not very large but is stunning. Gorgeous gorgeous house. Great location next to Metta Lab, and shoutout to Vitor at the front who was super kind and attentive all 4 nights. Cons: Despite a beautiful room and comfy bed, the DJ every night is unbelievably loud. Most nights it’s done at 12am but Friday night went until 2am? Food: Breakfast was “ok”…big room for improvement. Had one entree for lunch while there which was good. Overall, I loved the house except for bedtime…

A beautiful building in a prime location is marred by terrible service and extreme noise. The central air sounds like heavy machinery, SoHo House’s own dance music keeps you up until 2 am, and beeping traffic signals below made sleep challenging after that. ||Service had a pleasant veneer, but was oddly bureaucratic. For example, I was sitting in the corner of an entirely empty room taking a phone call with AirPods in, and was told I could only take calls, standing, in their unventilated phone booth. Not sure why any traveler would tolerate that. Easy to find places both better/cheaper nearby.

I honestly don’t know if I can give this hotel high enough praise. What an INCREDIBLE place. Huge beautifully designed rooms (I’m staying in a smal room btw!!) delicious food. Lovely, kind, helpful staff. The design and decor is just amazing. Every single thing has been thought of. I’m someone incredibly fussy that travels with work a lot, this place has exceeded my expectations. If you’re thinking of staying here. Do it.

The menu lacks variety and is significantly overpriced compared to São Paulo’s average standards. The food quality does not match the price at all. Service is weak, and I have complained multiple times with no real improvement. The pool is also disappointing it’s extremely small (more like a bathtub), and I’ve never been able to use it due to an excessive waiting line. The gym is poorly equipped and missing essential machines and equipment. Overall, this does not meet the luxury standard expected for such a high monthly fee.

Service was amongst the worst I’ve ever encountered for comparatively priced hotels. I’ve heard service used to be good, maybe SoHo House’s financial troubles and near bankruptcy have ruined things. Plenty of better (and cheaper) options nearby.

I'm writing with regards to the Soho House club experience not the hotel, however I have heard negative reviews either way. This is a glorified socialite club for the new rich. I joined with the intention of meeting new people as I had been living abroad for 10 years. I basically only used it for the gym since it was nearby my coworking area and occasionally invited friends for dinner or the pool. The pool never had any space for the chairs so it was basically just get in the pool and stay there for the whole time. The gym has no changing area or bathrooms and only after 9 months did they expand it and add more machines. I finally decided to cancel when I was berated by an employee for talking to an influencer who had a mutual friend with me. She stated the approach was unwanted when it was not and decided to suspend my account and have me continue to pay to which I replied I would be canceling and suing should they pursue with payments. Overall service, location and experience 0/5 the only nice thing about it is the decoration. Food is horrible too.

DO NOT GO FOR THE SUNDAY “FEAST”. If you value good-quality food at a reasonably fair price, this is not a place I would recommend. When we visited, the food was cold, and the overall quality was disappointing, especially for anyone accustomed to good restaurants. The service was equally underwhelming. We repeatedly had to get up and look for a waiter in order to receive any attention. All of this came to R$350 per person, plus service, which feels completely unjustified. São Paulo offers far too many excellent dining options to justify spending your time and money there on a Sunday. A weekday visit, however, may lead to a slightly better experience.

The conceptually modern decor contrasted with the old hospital renovated building is the main highlight. The drinks are absurdly expensive and the crowd is mainly the new rich, but the environment is pleasant for a short visit.
