This review is loooooong overdue! I only order Soho Sushi for lunch delivery when I'm working, so minimum of 4 orders for the team. Not only are they ALWAYS early, there has NEVER been a drop of soy sauce or soup leaked, they have it down to a science! The sushi is just great, you really can't beat it in my opinion! Love love Soho Sushi:) thank you!!

Google
My recent dining experience at Soho was truly exceptional. The food came out quick, fresh, and was very satisfying. The staff was incredibly attentive and very helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal, to have an event, or eat with family.

LOVE this place. Small but cosy. GOOD food. Nice staff.

Google
It's a nice neighborhood sushi spot with a really friendly staff. The quality is in line with other take-out sushi joints in the City, but the service stood out. We enjoyed our age tofu and bento box - plenty of food! While the restaurant is on the smaller side as it caters heavily to take-out business, they have few tables to accommodate a decent crowd.

Google
What a fantastic discovery in New York City. We were lucky to find a table inside in the height of summer. Super friendly service and very helpful since one of our party needed gluten free options. Ordered the Bento Box and was truly overwhelmed by the quality of the food, the speed of service and the taste! In fact, the portions were so generous we took a doggie bag away with us and it lasted for two more meals! Will definitely return to enjoy this amazing place!

Always great service and fresh sushi. The staff are always so kind and accommodating and the food is delicious. I love sitting facing the window and watching Village life go by - Sullivan St is so charming. SoHo Sushi is my go to!

Google
Just barely missed the lunch special but managed to get a ton of food for a great price. Salmon Teriyaki bento with miso, salad and 2 sushi rolls for only about 20 bucks. Salmon was pretty perfect but everything tasted great, and the staff could not have been kinder. My advice is to spring for real crab in the rolls, it's worth it. Quick service, good food, great vibes. Highly recommend.

My cousin was in town and wanted to try authentic sushi. Suggested this place and she loved it. For someone who’s not big on sushi as it is too common down south, she was surprisingly pleased with each roll we ordered. The wait staff could’ve been more pleasant. Seemed to have an attitude after I requested a warm beverage as we sat outside.

Yelp
Lightning-fast service. Soho Sushi (located in Greenwich village) is the first sushi place I've visited in the city that has prices I'd consider to be in the realm of reasonable for someone who typically orders 3 rolls. Portions are totally sufficient. Freshness is there, but if you're spoiled by the quality and cut of $149 per seat Omakase experiences, you might find something to complain about here.

Yelp
Cute spot. Friendly staff. Affordable very basic sushi. It's not a place I would go out of my way for but prices are good and they offer lunch specials that come with soup or salad and an orange for dessert. Nice perk, they offer a 10% discount if you check-in on Yelp.

Yelp
Good lunch special deal but you get the quality you pay for. The fish wasn't the most fresh tasting but props for having so many different roll varieties.

Yelp
My sister and I came here for dinner and got a combo platter. If you're looking for pretty good, average sushi that hits the spot for a sushi craving, this is the place for you. Nothing super stand-out, but yummy and decently priced.

Yelp
I came back during lunch to try their chirashi lunch ($18) - this was pretty disappointing, the fish didn't feel quite fresh and the tuna, especially, was chewy and stringy. I will admit it's a good deal though. The sushi rice was also unseasoned so the whole meal fell a little flat. Service was amazing though - everyone was so nice and friendly. At the end they gave us some hot tea and orange slices :)

Yelp
Give one star to this place is a lot we have the worst experience my sister and I we try to get there and once we pass the door the waiter said oh sorry we are full we don't have any table and literally is many tables we feel so bad that was raises for me definitely

Yelp
Great neighborhood sushi spot. Affordable and tasty! Everyone was so kind -- my friend and I were catching up and prefer a long dinner and their level of service for this was fabulous. They did not rush us at all, and made sure to wait until we were finished with the current course before bringing the next which is a small touch but was my favorite part. Will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Tiny space but worth a visit! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and explain the different between a few things to us. The prices here are also super reasonable for sushi. My partner and I split the Soho Combo B which came with miso soup, and a Queen Roll, and Tiger Roll. My personal favorite was the Tiger roll but there wasn't anything that was disappointing! They had a buy one get one 50% off offer on cocktails so we also ordered a Sake Pina Colada and a Bonsai which were both pretty good. If we are in the area we will definitely be back :)

Yelp
This is what I would call an average sushi spot for lunch. Rolls are good but nothing spectacular and in the small side. It's more like a local joint for the neighborhood people who need some sushi in them. The place is small with only a few small tables and a noisy kitchen. So ambience wise it's just bare bones. Service was fast and attentive. If you are passing by and want some sushi then check it out, would not take a special trip to eat here.

Yelp

Yelp
Good food at reasonable prices for Manhattan. I've been ordering delivery from them for a long time and all was fine, but had strange issues with the delivery person the last two times. He made me uncomfortable enough that I may not order delivery again-until I know there's a new delivery person.

Yelp
I love this place. Even though I have a place on the Upper East Side, and there are loads of Sushi Bars around there, it's an easy trek on the subway to the Village, so I try to make it down here on every visit to NYC. First of all, they remember me, even if it's been months since my last visit. And the service is impeccable. Second of all, the Sushi is fresh, tasty and not expensive! The fish is quality and you can see that the chefs have a passion for what they do. My last visit was during the Covid crisis, so they had a few tables outside. As soon as I walked up, Angelina saw me and welcomed me back. Such a good feeling! I sat outside at a socially distanced table, had a nice catch up with the staff, and ordered a beer and some hot Saké. When that came, I ordered a bunch of Sushi, and boy, just as I remembered- so good and fresh! Service is quick, Sushi is quality, and the vibe is awesome, it was great sitting outside watching all the people. I look forward to my next visit. I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
Best sushi I've ever had! They even gave us food once the kitchen closed! T The whole whole place was amazing! The decorations inside mad it feel even better! And everything was very cheap! 100/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch and everyone was very friendly, welcoming environment. The seating is a little cramped so it may not be the best spot for groups but definitely worth checking out. I was given hot tea as soon as I was seated, a blend of green tea and possibly something with ginger. After I finished my meal I also got an orange which was a nice touch

Barbara C.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots for sushi!! Great service, we were helped right away and our food was prepared just as fast. The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. I would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Sophie B.

Yelp
Very very average. Sushi is good but nothing special. You also only get 6 rolls where other places it's typically 8. I would pass on the appetizers, the two we got had no flavor at all. From what we saw it looked like this places is mainly a takeout spot since there wasn't a lot of seating and there was a continuous stream of delivery people coming in and out. The service was very nice and quick. The one standout item was the lychee sake. Easily the best lychee sake I've ever had.
google avatar

Bettina S.

Yelp
This is a great spot for vegetarians especially! Lots of options and always delicious.
google avatar

Jen M.

Yelp
Soho sushi is dependable and the quality of the food has been consistent. I've only ever ordered for delivery. I always get the combo sushi and the dinner serving of tempura which altogether can be equal to two meals. Affordable for standard Manhattan pricing.
google avatar

Kazi T.

Yelp
I wish I had taken photos of the sushi from here, but another good reason to go back. The sushi here was affordable AND tasted great! I ordered from uber eats and the quality was still great. The restaurant delivers themselves -- they were very punctual! They always have great deals online and I will 100% be ordering from the again. This place is a gem that needs to be shared with the rest of Manhattan!

Yelp
This was an ok place. The service was very good and friendly. There were a lot of fruit flies. We sat outside.

Justine H.

Yelp
Always great sushi! Nice service as well. Good prices. I've been going here for a decade and have plenty of wonderful memories coming here.

Luca F.

Yelp
Wonderful place, with amazing sushi. I particularly love the bento boxes. The restaurant is pretty small, but you always feel welcome. The staff is super nice, and the food came out quickly. I go every few months, and am never dissapointed. 10/10, would definitely reccomend!

Yelp
What an underrated sushi spot. Fish is fresh and service is amazing. I never had a good experience with red wine at a Japanese restaurant, but not here. Great Cabernet! I came here for dinner and ordered the sashimi sushi deluxe. It came with a free salad. Everything was delicious, need I say more? It started pouring like cats and dogs and I ended up ordering wine and sake. I dined at the restaurant for 3 hours while it was pouring. The waiters were so kind and attentive. Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Ordered a "crispy" fried rice roll, and it wasn't crispy at all. Tempura batter was bland and soggy. The fried gyoza however was really good! Asked for another order and they told me they were closing. The hours online did not match the time they RUSHED me out (9:20 on a Saturday) Lastly, The walls could use a good washing as they were visibly dirty.
google avatar

Jacky C.

Yelp
Ordered delivery via Caviar. Got two things: the Sashimi Plate ($22) and the Assorted Tempura Appetizer ($7). The Sashimi Plate comes with three pieces each of red tuna, salmon, yellow tail, fluke, and two pieces of white tuna with a choice of soup or salad. Fresh quality at a reasonable price. The Assorted Tempura Appetizer included breaded shrimp and vegetable tempura served with dipping sauce. It was oily as expected, but taste met expectations. We also got a box of white rice, but not really sure if it was supposed to come with any of the items we ordered as it didn't mention coming with rice.

Wayne L.

Yelp
Food is okay. Not the best but not bad. Serviceable. Just don't order delivery. Their wait times are not accurate and always late by half an hour or more.
google avatar

Yelp
Soho is an unpretentious, relatively inexpensive Japanese restaurant near Washington Square Park. The outdoor seating looked more appealing than the indoor area. The service, I thought, was very good, with the waiter and waitress attempting to help constantly. The food gets the job done, and although the sushi wasn't anywhere near the best we've had, it's still a good deal. The bento box was good, with the shumai being the best of the lot. I do wish there were more beef pieces in the bento box, however.

Chris G.

Yelp
Very dirty not clean feared for the health standards if parasites are in the tuna or salmon mix. Do yourself a favor and avoid parasites. Don't go pay a bit more. You get what you pay for.

Rynel L.

Yelp
Great value. Easy to walk in on a weekend. Super friendly staff. So many menu options. An awesome place to get your sushi fill and a great area to walk around in afterwards!

Meybys R.

Yelp
Although the food is AMAZING. Their delivery drivers will scream and harass you before handing you the food. And I mean SCREAM. I tolerated it many times due to the language barrier, but it eventually crosses a line when it's just straight up frustration. Got yelled at because I didn't answer my phone (I didn't get a call), got yelled at because I got a call that I needed to pick up my order (they were at the wrong location), got yelled at that they were waiting at the lobby and that I needed to come immediately (they were at the wrong location). I am over it at this point. They would always continue to yell once I met them in person. I will not be ordering again, and if they arrive at the location again (for any OTHER reason because I WILL NOT be ordering again,) they'll be handled by security. I leave yelp reviews if I have a problem with aggressive delivery drivers. Consider this establishment to have TWO of them.

Yelp
Ordered the tiger roll and spicy tuna crunch. Not sure if the gray is eel or bad fish... avoiding that piece regardless.. 2nd roll was good though Also ordered it near close.

Abby J.

Yelp
We went here for my friends birthday. Food was amazing, drinks were well-priced and the entire staff were so kind and lovely!
google avatar

Yelp
Lunch special is worth coming. Tried the beef negimaki bento box. It is beef strips wrapped in scallion with teriyaki sauce. If you don't like scallion, it may not be for you. The sushi was fresh, my favorite was the spicy crunchy salmon (and I usually don't like raw fish)! The bento box came with a 6 piece California roll. Outdoor seating had heating. Server was attentive with refilling water/tea. 10% off if you pay with cash

Yelp
First time trying from this place. It was fresh and good. The side salad was just okay.

Yelp
I usually order out here for lunch through Seamless so I've never really had the dining-in experience. Every single time that I've ordered here from Seamless, I've received great service and my order is always fresh and ready to go by the time I arrive. Even though Seamless estimates 20 minutes, my order is ready in 10 (I'm impatient haha so I do try to go ahead of time to see if my food is ready). The door might be easy to miss the first time visiting the place but their store front sign is very noticeable. The interior is quite dimly lit from my less-than-a-minute-encounter with them since the employees greet you as soon as you step in and take-out orders are placed on the table right by the door. My usual order is the Tri-Roll Combo Lunch and I think it's probably the best deal in the area - 3 rolls of your choice + a salad or soup for $12.75. I usually get the Eel Avocado Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll, and Alaska Roll. The ginger and wasabi are clearly separated by the leafy grass thing which I'm always glad about and the rolls are arranged in alternating rolls in the box which I love. Overall this is a solid place to grab sushi for a good deal if you're in the area and I'd definitely give it 5 stars.

Yelp
Placed order 12:40pm, got order 130pm...On time with their delivery eta...Just order ahead if you want to plan lunch like I did. But what I loved the most was that the delivery guy read and followed the instructions on my app order, which two other places failed to do so this week. So thumbs up for that! He spoke broken English FYI, but still got it right!! (Not hard to have someone pre-read and translate prior, bring ID to enter building so food can be brought to 7th floor when it's done right!!) Lol The three roll special was the cheapest in the area and the selection larger than anticipated; they tasted good too. Def. My long term lunch spot when I'm at the job ! And I love the fact that they pre-cut the oranges in the bento boxes!
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
First time trying Soho Sushi for lunch today and it was quite a good experience. I ordered delivery expecting a good 45-60 min but to my surprise the driver was already here within 30 minutes! Quite a nice surprise indeed. I got three rolls and each of them are quite delicious especially the shrimp tempura. Price was on point definitely good lunch values. I don't usually visit this area but in the mean time definitely looking forward to have many more lunches from Soho Sushi!

Yelp
In my never-ending quest to try all the food spots anywhere, I tried Soho Sushi in NYC. The restaurant is located a few blocks from New York University in NYC, so it's pretty easy to find. My good friend and I didn't have to wait too long to get seated, which was also great. I got California Roll and Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll. They were all presented beautifully, fresh and full of flavor, and left me full at the end. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, so even if you're not feeling like sushi, there are plenty of other options. Service was very warm and welcoming, and I look forward to returning again soon.

Yelp
Low key sushi spot. My bf and I decided to have a random date night. We ordered the Phoenix roll, spicy crunchy salmon, mango avocado, and crunchy yellow tail along with Sho Chiku Bai Ginjo Saki. It was amazing. Will be back soon.
google avatar

Shelby M.

Yelp
Gave me AGGRESSIVE food poisoning. I should have known when it was delivered. If tasted awful. Just those 3 bites made for a painful 24 hours.
google avatar

Tijana K.

Yelp
I only got take out but it was soooo good! Such a good price for a lot of great quantity food! I got the bento box where you chose an entree and two sides and it comes with salad, soup and rice!! So much food for only $19 or something. I went in to pick it up and the staff was so nice. Will definitely come back to dine in !:)
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
A small sushi spot. Came here for dinner. It's okay. Nothing to special here. Price is fair. Sushi is okay. Not much to say
google avatar

Nicolle G.

Yelp
Amazing sushi, the roll I ordered was the sullivan roll and it was an explosion of flavors in my mouth! Great sushi spot! Def coming back!
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
I used to like the sushi but today I took a bite of my crunchy salmon roll and there was something hard in it that hurt my teeth when I bit down. I pulled it out of my mouth and it was the piece of plastic which can be seen in the picture attached. Safe to say I did not finish my lunch.
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
Had a teriyaki bowl delivered and it was Great. They were running behind but called me. Will definitely be back. The Teriyaki bowl was amazing and I appreciated that the sauce was placed on the side in a separate container.

Yelp
Wow perfect so fresh!! Love it! The restaurant clean, service is great! Everything comes so quickly!
