Soï – Thaï Canteen in Geneva is a vibrant gem that brings the bold flavors of Thai street food right to the heart of the city. The atmosphere buzzes with energy, featuring neon lights and colorful decor that transport you straight to Bangkok. The menu is a delightful mix of grilled meats, spicy salads, and comforting soups, all designed for sharing. Standout dishes include the crispy Moo Klook Foon, tender Kho Moo Yang, and the refreshing Som Tam Thai. Service is friendly and efficient, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or a newcomer, Soï offers an authentic and memorable culinary journey.

The food tastes better than the pictures I took. It has been shaded by the tacky neon lights Soi has. Why do this at all when you first eat with your eyes. It's not a massage parlour. The grilled half chicken and entrecote were fine, nothing special, so this place seems a bit overrated for my liking. Throwaway service, admittedly typical of Geneva, also made this place lacklustre.

Food that warms my soul. Unforgettable. Must revisit. This place is outstanding. Nothing but praises. Service was amazing. We didn’t have reservations but they accommodated us anyway. Staff was polite, kind and attentive. Welcoming atmosphere with furnitures and decorations that make you feel like you’re in Thailand. The food was authentic. Notable dishes were seua rong hai, laab moo, and tom zaap kai. The beef was perfectly cooked. The pork was seasoned just right. The soup was true to its name with that punch of flavor that goes so well with tender chicken pieces. Haven’t tried tom kha kai and tom yum kung yet but will definitely try them next time.

Very good experience in this small but comfortable, busy Thai street food place . Food is balanced, has a depth of flavour and is just so tasty. On this Geneva trip, this was the best place I ate at. Will definitely return.

To be honest - Moo Klook Foon is delicious and perfect as an appetizer. - Koh Moo Yang tastes good but the only one thing is that it isn't the same part that is sold in Thailand. However, I understand that foreigners don't eat much fat. - Sai Ua is delicious but it would be even better if the ingredients were finely ground. - Larb Moo tastes like Larb Moo. Better if I didn't ordered it less spicy. I was afraid that my husband would not be able to eat it. - The coconut ice cream tasted a bit salty. I like the way to decorate the restaurant. Staffs are friendly. I will go back to try another things next time

Great authentic tastes but beware of the small portions for some of the dishes! I particularly liked the grilled pork neck and tomyum. Probably can skip the coconut ice cream- it was a little too sweet and there was little coconut flavour. Overall still a good place for some Thai food if you are craving for it!

Disappointing service. We booked for 19:00 and were asked to leave the restaurant by 20:15 for a private function. I find it unacceptable that we weren't notified earlier. We were reminded 3-4 times during our meal of the "deadline", forcing us to rush. The homemade drink we ordered was bad (big pieces of raw unpeeled ginger in sparkling water). Only one of the 3 dishes we ordered was good, but nothing special. The ambience is basic. I wouldn't recommend. Edit: To respond to the restaurant's answer: We booked online and it said nowehere we had to leave earlier.

Excellent Thai and Vietnamese dishes, with plenty of choices. Particularly enjoyed the Papaya Salad, the Tom Yum (vegan) soup and the Thai Iced Tea. Clearly marked vegetarian options, friendly service and lovely, casual vibe inside.

Yelp
I have been here a few times and my experiences vary greatly. The first time I was in a group and felt like I was ripped off and left hungry. Clearly we did not know what to order as the second time, also in a group, I was stuffed and enjoyed every bite. We ate a variety of meats, marinated pork, chicken satay, green papaya salad, sticky rice and the mango rice dessert. Great meal. I have also tried their giant soup bowl of noodle and beef which was the plat du jour.
