UPDATE: Soilboy reached out to us immediately and took our feedback seriously. They offered advice on how to better care for the bonsai and followed up with suggestions based on the issues we shared. While the response was delayed, we genuinely appreciate that they made the effort to address our concerns and provide guidance.
Bought the hinoki bonsai in late Feb, we were instructed to water it everyday and placed it in the sun daily. After 3 days, the leaves started turning yellowish brown and we were quite concern. Had reached out to them via Ig but did not get a response, and went back to soilboy on that week its lt as the leaves kept falling. However, staff still claims they think the plant is okay and the sun might be too hot for the plant even though we were instructed to put it outdoor. They told us to bring it back indoors and continue to water everyday as it’s impossible for the plant to have too much water. The staff wasn't very helpful, she just show us how to water down the bonsai again even though we were doing the same and ask us to try keeping it indoors without analysing the root cause. After 3 weeks, still no improvement and i was too lazy to do a review but tried to keep the plant alive . However, a friend of mine has a similar issue on her bonsai from soilboy recently (less than a week of her purchase). Decided to put this review after 3 months to advice customers of theirs, they had much better service before they became famous. Now it seems the price is too high for the aesthetic with healthy plants being a concern.
