Why Cambodia’s islands are the hottest beach destination right now - SilverKris

"A peaceful beachfront resort recommended for its seaside villas, offering a quieter, more restful base away from the island’s party hubs." - SilverKris

It was definitely one of the prettiest beaches I’ve been to! First of all, it’s not that easy to get to the island, the weather/ocean may change your plans easily. The rooms were quite old and poorly maintained. The restaurant prices were high enough, especially when they charge you in $$$😅

We had a pleasant experience at Soksan Beach Resort. While the room we stayed in was a bit dated, it was still comfortable. Overall, it’s a good place to relax, though do note that it’s quite far from Long Set Beach and Koh Touch, so some travel is needed if you plan to visit those areas.

That is a scam for breakfast. The view is beautiful but they charge you 10$ for a “breakfast set” that is composed only of an egg and a glass of water whereas the menu indicates that the set comprises fruits, bread, juices, etc. Better go to the small village a few minutes away

A very laid back and quiet place. It’s located on the most beautiful beach on the island and it’s 20 min drive by bike to the main area and the north beaches. The room was comfortable and breakfast was basic but delicious

Very good location on the best beach of Koh Rong. The accommodation is good, but not outstanding. The fridge and air condition was very loud and the bathroom is in need of some updates. The facilities like sun beds and umbrellas needed some maintenance since a lot was broken. ||The breakfast is great with a lot of variation. However the rest of the menu (lunch and dinner) is overpriced. You can go to the village (10 minutes walk) and get almost half price. The same for pick up and excursions, we saved 10 USD to buy it in the village instead of the hotel - and with exactly the same boat. It would be nice if this was matching.||The service was great and everyone was very friendly. A lot of stray dogs in the area and also a lot of sand flies that gave a lot of itchy bites (at first I thought it was mosquitoes, but I was wrong). ||It is still an affordable accommodation for the location so would recommend it.

This is the WORST hostel I have ever been in. I don’t know how they can legally use those pictures because the reality is NOT that. |It felt more like a prison than a hostel and I would recommend this to no one. The bunk beds are unsteady, it feels like it will topple over onto you. They are the only place in the area without a generator so we were left for 5 hours without running water or electricity. 2 rooms my friends were in had leaks from the walls and the owner didn’t even care that all their stuff had been completely soaked.

Pure paradise I was lucky to grab the available room by the end of the day and arriving at the resort with the last ray of sunshine I realized I made a truly best booking. The property is located excellently- away from the village main road, so you won’t hear ANY noise from the motos. There’s a pier but again quite far and it’s barely busy daytime, so you wouldn’t be bothered by speedboats, at all. No banana riders, parachute gliders, scooters - NOTHING. Only you and pristine rainforest and mesmerizing turquoise sea. There’re few dozens of chalets with the different features inside. Mine was pretty modest yet stylish and decorated wonderfully with the distinctive Khmer style. I can’t remember when was the last time I experienced such a tranquility and peace, quietness and warmth as I enjoyed at the resort, surprisingly even no birds twittering at the sunrise hour!Breakfast was great at all times. Dinner was delicious indeed, barracuda fish is your number one choice! The beach is awesome! The sand as White as one can be. Service was outstanding, no single trouble. You may read or play snooker at the lobby. For those partygoers there’s a tiny village just few hundreds meters away, where you may pick some restaurant or bar. My best stay so far!

I did a motor ride around Koh Rong and stopped for a quick lunch. Service is excellent, restaurant with front sea view, overall food is ok, but pizza is not recommended.
