Sokkelund Cafe & Brasserie

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Sokkelund. The food was incredibly tasty, especially the oysters, white asparagus, and mules paired with German wine. A big plus was their pet-friendly policy, allowing us to bring our little dog with us. The ambiance was great too. Highly recommended!

Amazing service! and allergy friendly They have the best gluten free bun I had in a while. Staff was nice, kind and, understanding. I enjoyed their food too - tasty steak and they great soap / when you go to their bathroom, it had a nice scent that actually makes you feel in a different time - it was an amazing experience

With the way our group of 6 was welcomed at Sokkelund, we were off to a great start. Some of us were gluten intolerant, and the skilled personnel was helpful to identify the possible options on the menu. It featured many French classics, but I chose the tartare burger as I had never seen it being served before. The tartare patty was of amazing quality, well-seasoned and very well formed. A combination of pickled gurkin and onion gave the burger a unique taste. The top of the patty had a melted slice of cheese too, and I'm still not quite sure how the chef managed without also cooking the patty. This might have been the most unique and best tasting burger I've ever had. The side of fries was crunchy and tasted wonderful in combination with the bearnaise sauce. For an additional 20 DKK, I upgraded my fries with grated parmesan and truffel, adding even more flavor to the already delicious meal. This restaurant is highly recommended!

On the whole, a tad more expensive than other smørrebrød. But then, also of higher quality - dressed and plated beautifully, and also great ingredients. I had the roast beef (DKK155) and my friend had the pan-fried fish (DKK145). The menu recommends 2-3 per person but I was honestly so full after one, I wouldn’t have been able to eat another! Service was excellent and attentive. I think you just have to pick your moment - it’s not the place for a quick and easy lunch, but rather somewhere you’ll linger and chat for hours.

Great healthy and fresh variety for brunch, lunch, dinner. Very attentive service. Coming back next week!

What a wonderful place! This perfect French restaurant makes the perfect setting for a magic evening in Frederiksberg after an afternoon walk. Great service, extremely well executed dishes and a wonderful wine list. Must try the steak frite and the legendary Bernaise sauce !

Very nice place with excellent food and drinks.

This was a perfect breakfest experience co sidering their location. Obviously being by a harbour with water view would improve it, but in terms of food offered (it was amazing, bread was crunchy and delicious, eggs were done perfectly, and ham was crispy and juicy) it could not be faulted. They also take great care lf tea drinkers which is rare - little timers and lemon available Thank you
