Sokkhak Boutique Resort & Spa

I had a great stay at Sokkhak Boutique Resort & Spa. The hotel is a little oasis just outside the city center in Siem Reap. The staff is wonderful. Everyone knows who you are and they go out of their way to make your stay perfect. Meals were delicious and they were kind enough to pack me a to go breakfast for my early departure. The staff - Mr. Chen in particular - helped make all the arrangements I needed for an amazing visit including drivers, guides, and dinner/show reservations. The resort has tuk tuk drivers available on call and getting to/from town is super easy. I also had an fantastic traditional Khmer massage in the spa. I wish I could have spent more time in Siem Reap and at the Soķkhak Boutique Resort.

We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our holiday as a base while we visited the temples. The staff were incredibly welcoming—in fact, their greeting to us was "welcome home." I've never been made to feel more welcome. Staying here felt a bit like hiring a villa with staff. Because of the limited number of rooms, the staff were so attentive and we experienced the epitome of personal service. Drinks and cold towels were brought to us every time we arrived back from our days out.||||​We ate in their sister restaurant, which was very pretty with exceptionally good food, and we stayed for cocktails by the pool. We loved the little touch of using lemongrass straws in the drinks!||||​During our stay, we had a couples spa treatment at the hotel which was great. My husband had reflexology on his feet and said it was fantastic.||||​We used the hotel's tuk-tuk for both days of tours and booked our guide, Lin, through the hotel too. Having a tour guide is a good idea; you get a personal photographer and you don't miss anything at the temples. We managed to visit 13 temples in 2 days. Shopping in Siem Reap in the evening is also very pleasant.||||​Just a light-hearted warning: if you ask your tuk-tuk driver for bar recommendations, be specific! Our driver didn't quite understand our taste in bars and took us to a KTV place and a sports bar. Both had escorts waiting for customers at the entrance, which wasn't exactly what we were looking for!

We had an amazing stay at the Sokkhak boutique hotel. Everyone was incredibly friendly & attentive and the food and service were fantastic. Our hotel receptionist Srey mao was awesome and our tuk tuk driver Tauck was excellent and we ended up using his for all our adventures. Don’t miss the gorgeous pool and delicious breakfast. It’s a 5 minute tuk tuk ($3) ride to town and it was perfect!

We found the Sokkhak Spa on Booking and it looked nice. Sometimes the pictures make a hotel look better than it is, this experience was the opposite. This beautiful hotel far exceeded our expectations. We loved that it was off the beaten path and was an oasis in Siem Reap. Every detail of the hotel is well thought out. Layout, floral arrangements, furnishings & art were all unique and exquisite. But the facilities pale in comparison to the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. They arranged our tours, rides into town and had great recommendations for activities. When we returned to the hotel they immediately brought water service to our room. They arranged box breakfast for our Angkor Wat sunrise tour. So many small details were also attended to. I cannot say enough about Sokkhak. I wish I could find the same on every holiday.

Sokkhak is a slice of heaven. It's tucked away off the beaten path and is a hidden gem. It's luxurious but casual vibe makes you feel relaxed and welcome. |The staff is what really makes the experience exceptional. They are warm, inviting, attentive and the loveliest staff I've ever come across. We booked our guide, driver and massages here and were extremely pleased. They are knowledgeable and advised us of other options after our temple tours. We visited Apopo Center, just a short distance down the road and the Lotus Farm about 20-25 minutes out of town. They also recommended the sunrise viewing at Angkor Wat and packed breakfast boxes for our early morning departure. Don't let the location deter you from having a most memorable stay. Would give 10 stars if possible!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at, and I have traveled all around the world. Because it is a boutique hotel, it feels much more intimate and truly like a home away from home. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful, and they clean the rooms very thoroughly every day, always making sure you have everything you need. The food in their lovely restaurant is delicious, and the spa massages are great as well. I would highly recommend this hotel!

We chose this hotel to be a little away from the hustle and bustle of the main town of Siem Reap. A decision I'm very glad we made! ||The service here was excellent, they arranged tours and transfers for us and went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, including breakfast bags to take with us on early starts. The hotel is in a quiet location too but very easy to get a tuktuk into town and back again for a set fee, so no worries about being ripped off. ||I genuinely think this is the best option for staying in Siem Reap - I know there are some bigger more well known names but I'm super glad we chose this one.

This is a lovely small boutique hotel with traditional deco with romantic feel. There are only two floors and the rooms on the ground level was dark and more humid compared to the upper floor room. But my friend had water drainage problem in the shower of upper flr room. The local cuisine at the hotel is all delicious since the hotel owner also has popular restaurant in the city center nearby. I would like to return to this hotel. The hotel staffs are all very very pleasant and nice. I had very good experience.
