Sol a Sol Hostel

I had the best time in this hostel! Everything and everyone felt welcoming and very safe. They organize different activities and they make dinner for everyone every night and this made meeting new people very easy. The staff is very helpful, they take time to suggest you things to do and see and if you have any problems or requests they totally take care of it (my shower broke and two minutes later it was perfectly fixed). They made my stay in Lagos perfect🌸🩷

The rooms were very small and in need of some better improvements. The hostel activities were well organized and always drew a large crowd to meet others, but this also meant that it was often loud and people were disruptive in the rooms. The rooms also felt like they weren't cleaned properly, especially in the bathrooms.

I stayed here for two nights, and the day I checked out realized that I was covered in bites. I checked the bed and there were bed bugs in my bed as well as all the other girls’ beds in my room, and crawling up the curtain. They canceled my reservation on hostelworld so I couldn’t make a review, but think I should let everyone know that there’s an issue and hopefully they resolve it. Thankfully I did receive a refund and they did my laundry for me, but a pain nonetheless EDIT: Just so the general public knows, these were fully mature bed bugs that had clearly been reproducing, so they would have had to have been in the room for weeks to get to that stage. None of us brought them, and saying that we did rather than taking accountability is extremely bad service.

There is no air conditioning at this hostel, so keep that in mind depending on when you visit. It is in the party area of Lagos, which means it is loud all night. And during summer, you need to sleep with the window open due to the heat so it is very loud. The organized family dinners and Saturday BBQ were fun. It was a social hostel at night but everyone did their own thing during the day. Location is good but just keep in mind the noise and no air conditioning.

A friend and I stayed here for four nights while backpacking through Portugal. The hostel is in a location that’s very close to all the bars and restaurants. Walking to the beach was also a very quick and easy trip. The rooms were pretty nice as well; the bedding was clean and there are lockers for your belongings. The bathroom was just okay. The showers were a bit spotty and they didn’t seem like they had been cleaned very recently. Even then, we had a great time. There was a nice barbecue on the roof on Sunday night and everybody we met was very friendly.

Great location if you wanna go partying, because all the Bars are right beside the hostel. But that also means, that it's reeeaaaally loud at night, even with closed windows and earplugs. Additionaly the room doors are not good soundproofed and this can get really loud as well. Cleanliness is ok, but not the best, the Toilet flushs were anyhow akward and didnt work really well. The BBQ which is promoted everywhere didnt happen during our stay (September). No opportunity for breakfast, or doing laundry, no snacks. Nice rooftop, nice town, awesome shore but there are better hostels...(dont know also in lagos)

Alright hostel, slow service Beds are super uncomfortable CASH ONLY, the atm in the building charges 14% interests. Even if you already prepaid a part of the cost, they dont charge the rest to your card. Essentially a scam. No air conditioner

Hostel is lovely with lots of private rooms (great for 2 friends). My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. They serve dinner on the rooftop (great view up there) and have a pub crawl each night that I would recommend doing it at least once! The staff were very helpful and gave us some fun suggestions for activities during the trip. Would definitely stay here again!
