This place is great if you want to pay western prices for all on site food (and services) and spend most of your time in cabs. It’s too far from anything to walk, no shuttle bus is offered, every time you order a grab taxi the staff hassle you to book through their drivers. Staff trying to upsell you at every turn. I haven’t experienced this anywhere else on my trip around Vietnam. Feels like run down luxury… everything is nice, but faulty, damaged or dirty. Location is so bad that I asked about checking out early and getting refund… no can do, have to forfeit entire booking. Only thing it’s close to is the airport. WiFi rarely works. Fridge in room isn’t cold. We requested ice as the fridge doesn’t work, and they wanted to charge us for it 🤡. PowerPoints didn’t work, had to get maintenance in to fix. Positives: - Breakfast buffet is pretty good. Lots of variety. - Most staff are friendly and helpful - Room was spacious (probably because we were convinced to upgrade upon check in), and always clean.

We were a party of Eleven from Hong Kong for a big family holiday. Sol Melia Phu Quoc is a wonderful resort. Not too big not too small with about 280 rooms I think. The moment we checked in, we were greeted with friendly smiley staff in the reception in particular Huyen one of the supervisors who was just wonderful. Special thanks to Huyen, Kim, Trong Anh. Snow was also very helpful with the taxi arrangements and restaurant recommendations. ||||In terms of demographics, naturally there were more Asians than westerners. Because Phu Quoc is popular with Koreans, there are quite a lot of Korean restaurants in the new and old towns which was nice. Now many Asians don’t like sunbathing as they like to look after their skin, that means the pool was virtually empty even when the hotel was busy. That’s perfect for us British born Asians as we literally slap on factor 50 sun cream and off we go. So basically there’s no rush to catch or reserve pool side sun beds unlike the craziness of European resorts. ||||The beach was beautiful and is literally a short walk from the pool with lovely golden sand. Location of the resort was perfect as it was in the middle located between the old and new towns and a short taxi ride to both and to Sunset City etc. The Old town was my favourite with local excellent eateries, night markets and independent spas. Everything was very reasonable and affordable. The resort is only a 10 min ride from the airport but surprisingly, we did not hear any plans flying by.||||Rooms were perfect and very decent size. Very reasonable too for the standard. You really don’t have to stay at the InterContinental or the Regency as they are a lot more expensive. We went for bed and breakfast option as we wanted to eat out every night. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety. For lunch, you can just go outside or download the Grab App and order take out from local restaurants. ||||A wonderful resort with very attentive and lovely staff from House keeping, Reception, garden maintenance team to those keeping the beach clean. People in Phu Quoc are just generally really nice people. Check it out! ||||Thank you Sol team for looking after us!

The hotel has great facilities and I was very satisfied. The pool was clean and well maintained by the staff, which made me feel comfortable using it. Breakfast buffet was delicious and varied. Especially, Ms. Thao My at the restaurant was very helpful — when she saw I had a baby, she immediately brought us a baby chair, which made me feel really cared for. Overall, all the staff were friendly and nice, and I truly enjoyed my stay. I hope to come back again to enjoy even more.

My family and I are currently staying here for the past few days. The facilities were mostly clean and the overall service was great and professional. The staff made us feel welcome and are quick to assist when needed. Food and drinks were not bad. A special thank you to our waiter, Van Hai, who provided exceptional service during our visit. He was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. His warm attitude and professionalism truly made our dining experience memorable. pool needs a bit better maintaining more from tiny rocks, me and my family has been getting cuts from rocks on multiple occasions

This was my second time to Phu Quoc, so I decided to stay in Sol Phu Quoc (Sol by Melia Phu Quoc). It's great time in Sol Phu Quoc, one of the best places in the Island! The hotel is located in the big tropical garden with green tree and flowers, beautiful swimming pool, private beach, bars/restaurants... I could hear the sound of birds during breakfasts or from nice Santorini style lobby! I strongly recommend this hotel for Vietnamese and foreigners who want to have separate paradise in Phu Quoc

We want to give a special shout-out to Quyen, who went above and beyond to make sure our visit was perfect. Her warmth and professionalism made a huge difference. Thank you for your exceptional service!

Absolutely loved our stay at Sol by Melia Phu Quoc! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The location is convenient and not too far from Duong Dong town center and Phu Quoc Night Market. The resort itself has a relaxed, tropical vibe and is perfect for unwinding by the pool. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of options to suit every palate. Our room was spacious and clean with gorgeous ocean views. If you’re looking for a retreat that combines direct beach access, lush tropical surroundings, and easy convenience to the airport and local area, then Sol by Meliá Phu Quoc hits the spot!

It was rainy these few days as we traveled to Phu Quoc but good that the room we have stayed was pretty comfortable. Luckily the staff were friendly and helpful. In particular the restaurant namely Kitchen served good quality Vietnamese food. The beef pho was very remarkable. The waitress - Thuy is awesome with good service, recommending us with good selection of VN dishes and confirmed me there is no MSG, which is essential for us as parents traveling with kids.
