SOL HOTEL

Nice hotel for a business trip. The people at the reception are quite friendly and speak English. The room was comfortable, but the fan was a bit too loud. I enjoyed the proximity to the railway station (around 7-10mins by foot) and the nearby food options in all kinds of local and international restaurants. A little downside may be the school opposite of the road, as there is noise coming from the school in the early morning.

It was nice staying at Sol-Hotel, everything was except the food (breakfast) which needs to be improved at-least for international travelers.

Nice hotel, clean, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast buffet had both Chinese and western elements. Coffee and cold tea facilities available all day for guests. Location is perfect, it is nearby the center, train station but is quiet. There is indeed a school opposite of the road, but the sounds of the school start only at a by 8am. Recommend this place!

Clean hotel. Bath tub is only if you are a small person . I struggled as someone who is 184 cm (5 11) and 87 kg. Location is great . It’s true that students start making significant noise by 8 am. I didn’t have the breakfast buffet.

Good location with a very japanese style riverside. Clean, tidy room. Just fine breakfast.However, terrible experience about the staff. 1. We were told the basement parking lot was full that we had to park on the ground level, to load our laggages along with a 2.5 yd girl in the stroller there and to drag them to the basement via the long ramp. While we were having trouble not to jar our little girl, we saw a car slided in the basement and parked there. 2. Next day, we, two adults, one little girl, plus a stroller were lead to a table for only two. As we asked to switch to the nearby sofa dining area, the staff told us that the reservation today was full when there was really no more than 15 persons in the restaurent during our time there.

A hotel in Hsinchu, not very far from Hsinchu Railway station, about 10 minutes walk. The hotel was formerly a governmental department building. It has been refurbished into a hotel. It was not friendly for large and heavy luggage as there are only stairs in the main entrance. The room was spacious and clean, the inferior did not look very old. Free snacks and drinks are available on the ground floor for refreshment.

Booked the hotel last minute as had a last min stay in hsinchu. Room is big and clean, which is all I needed. My room comes with a living room attached so this room is suitable if you have friends coming over to chit chat etc… I guess one or two of them can crash over if they like.Bed is a tad hard, and only one pillow provided but I had a decent sleep. TV comes with all the channels one needs to ensure no boredom, just channel surfing will take you forever. Sound insulation from the window is not great though. can hear the cars from the road below. Maybe it’s also cos my room is on the second floor. A primary school is opposite the hotel but since it’s the holidays, not sure if the noise from the school will affect travellers sleep.Toilet was decently sized and comes with separate bathtub and shower. Water pressure was good though the water took a bit of time to become hot.

Good hotel but a little bit pricy compared to similar ones nearby. There wasn't that much restaurant or small stand around walking distance of you try to find various food selection by walking, however it has quiet and nicer environment since it is just next to an elementary school.
