WARNING: COCKROCHES IN THE HOTEL ROOM
My experience at this hotel was far below acceptable standards, particularly in terms of hygiene and the way a serious situation was handled by the staff.
On the second night of our stay, at around 3am, I discovered a COCKROACH in the room. I immediately contacted reception, only to be told that they could not help at that moment because the staff member on duty was alone. I was even told to deal with the issue myself.
After insisting, someone eventually came with insect spray, treated the room, and then suggested we sleep there anyway, despite the strong chemical smell and the obvious discomfort caused by the situation.
We refused and had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Even in the new room, we did not feel safe or comfortable after what had happened. The following morning, we chose to end our stay early and requested a refund for the following night, which had already been paid for and which we would no longer be using.
The management's response was simply:
“It’s normal to have cockroaches. Luckily, it’s not their season.”
In my view, cockroaches in a hotel room are never normal. This is a hygiene and public health issue that should be taken seriously — and it’s clear that no proper prevention measures are in place.
The way the situation was downplayed, combined with the refusal to issue a refund, shows a clear lack of professionalism and respect for guests.
For these reasons, I do not recommend this hotel. If you value cleanliness, safety, and responsible customer service, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.
