We brought our kids on their first ever abroad holiday in June 2025. We had an absolute blast!! All of the rooms are perfect, even when you have a no balcony like we did! We didn’t really know what to expect of the entertainments team as we’ve never experienced anything like it before but our youngest loved every activity she took part in. The team are fantastic and put all of the kids at ease when joining the daily activities. They completely look after all the kids that go to the club and I can honestly say it’s made our trip super special. Anyone thinking of taking kids to Sol pelicanos you definitely should! Best pool and atmosphere in Benidorm (if you’re not here for the strip)

We have just returned after a 9 day visit and after reading some reviews we had concerns however we could not fault the staff, pool or hotel, the food was plentiful with ample choice, don’t worry about the bad reviews. We’ve had Sushi, steak, chops, fresh fish, salad cheeses… even 2 fussy 17 year old lads didn’t go hungry. Great holiday, thoroughly enjoyed 🌞

Very basic hotel. There is no aircon in the room. I complained as we couldn't sleep with the heat. They said its not summer yet, so no aircon. Don't bother going all-inclusive. You get watered down alcohol drinks. The same food for lunch and dinner. We got so fed up with the food that we ended up eating out. The bar by the bigger pool has a little food court for the all-inclusive guests. Very poor quality and food choices. The pools were lovely and clean but cold. But then we did go in April. The staff were nice. Entertainment every night. They put a lot of effort into entertaining kids in the evening, before the adult entertainment. We arrived at midnight on our first night,so day one of our holidays was over. On day 7,our last day, we were checking out at 11.45am. We were told we could have breakfast,as long as it's before 7.15am. We arrived at breakfast to be told that we couldn't have anything from the hot side, only the cold side. So toast and cereal. I thought this was wrong, as we paid for 7 days all-inclusive, yet only had 5 days of this. The location is good for shopping. I wouldn't go back to this hotel.

After reading the reviews about this hotel, we were pleasantly surprised. |This is a three star hotel, don’t go with four or five star expectations.||Check in- we booked direct with the hotel so were able to check in online and join the priority check in queue. Did get some funny looks from the other queue.||Lift- only used on arrival and departure as we were on the first floor.||Room - Clean, basic could do with a bit of a refresh. We were overlooking the pool on the first floor, so had a flat roof directly below us. No tea & coffee making facilities, but you could hire a kettle from reception. We were told by another guest they had run out of kettles, so might be best to take a travel one with you. ||Pool- loads of sun loungers , but a lot had towels on and no people. We found that if we went out and about in Benidorm first then came back about 2ish we’d get a couple of beds. Pool itself is lovely.||Food- we were half board . Good selection of food for both breakfast and evening meal.||Location - Hotel is at the end of the strip . We didn’t have any issues with noise. |Would we go back there again, maybe. Although I think if we went back to Benidorm again we’d go for a more central hotel.

We were feeling apprehensive after reading the recent reviews but we were pleasantly surprised and had a good experience at the hotel overall.||We travelled as a group of 8 with 3 young adults (almost 18, 18 & 19) staying for 5 nights, Sunday to Friday. We had 4 rooms and we all found our rooms to be clean, comfortable with plenty of storage. Beds were so comfy with fab pillows! Bathrooms were a decent size with a really good rainfall shower. Small balcony but had a table and 2 chairs so adequate. The rooms were cleaned daily and we had a change of bedding once during our stay. ||We arrived about midday. Check in was chaotic and very busy, and after a long journey it was tedious waiting in a very long, slow queue, only to be told rooms wouldn’t be ready until 4pm. This is the latest check in time I’ve ever experienced at any hotel, and I do feel it is quite late. However we put our bags into the secure luggage room and went up to Silver Dollar bar next door until we could access the rooms.||Pool area was really lovely. Clean, with plenty of sun-beds. As we were a group we had to get beds by about 9.30 to be able to get 8 all together, but if you’re there as a couple you could get beds up until about 11 most days. ||We were staying half board but only because it wasn’t a lot extra to stay half board rather than B&B when we booked so we had already planned to eat out a couple of nights. We all thought the food was better than expected having read reviews before travelling. Breakfast was good; freshly cooked eggs, bacon, english sausages, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, pastries/cakes/donuts, fruit, cereals, cold meats/cheese, fresh bread, bread for toasting, yoghurt, milkshakes, freshly squeezed orange juice - I’m not really sure what else you could possibly want! Evening meal was ok. The two nights we ate at the hotel everyone found something to eat. There was Tacos and fajitas one night and huge prawns and steak the other, amongst other things. Both nights there was pizza and chicken nuggets, chips, white fish, types of stew, potatoes, veg, lots of salads.||We went out every night so can’t comment on evening entertainment. We did have a few drinks in the main bar and found prices on a par with town. We also ate lunch at the pool bar most days and found this excellent. Food really good and both food and drinks very reasonably priced and a quick, friendly service. ||Overall I think the hotel is decent for a 3 star and we would stay here again; we all had a great holiday!

Brilliant location. 5 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk to the main nightlife strip. Rooms and hotel were clean. Food was a great selection and fresh everyday. There are several pools, the main pool busy and lovely and then a smaller pool on the other side of the building which was chilled and relaxed. Plenty of bars to get a drink. Barely heard any noise from the street. Great stay, value for money and would stay here again.

STAFF WERE AMAZING I had an allergic reaction and they handled it very well And you can order your lunch and breakfast and dinner and advanced when you have an allergy and you tell them all about it and they make sure that you are protected from the allergen. There are allergy signs everywhere. The manager was very accommodating and the staff checked up on me a lot all in all it was great staff

It was an amazing get away! This was our first holiday abroad for our 3 year old daughter and I wanted to give a shout out to the animation team! They were so amazing with her at all the activities and really helped her feel comfortable and come out of her shell. Would recommend this to any families looking for a relaxing and fun getaway.

Yelp
Just spent a week AI in the Pelicanos, found it to be everything it had been described as, great staff great food (buffet type) but good quality. This is equally a well used hotel by spainish guests and their children, and has a Flintstone theme with organised games and activities. Obviously it has a very Spanish selection with loads of salads, fish, rices & off course my favourite, paella. As we were AI, we had serve yourself White Red Rose Wine & Sangria, Larger & all the pop & fresh juices you could ask for. There was also for the plane eaters plenty of Chips Sausages etc. Ice cream fresh sliced fruit & Spanish sweet stuff fir afters, only problem I sensed was my waist size our room was large with a 40" TV, furniture was a bit dated but other rooms on our floor were updated during our stay. The entertainment at night was first class, high quality stuff with also live English & Spanish football shown in large screen areas. I really enjoyed our stay, we even saw a few of the actors from the TV show Benidorm as they were filming the new series during our stay, but you don't get near the area of the set! Just one word of warning, this hotel has 14 floors! So if you don't like heights you must make that clear when booking. We were on the 9th overlooking the Ocas hotel & pool area and that was high enough for me Overall highly recommend the Sol Pelicanos

Yelp
Stunning hotel. Very clean and well maintained. Large swimming pool with some nice features added in. Within walking distance of shopping centre, beach and public transport. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in benidorm.

Yelp
I stayed in the Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas In Late October 2008. This hotel may appear to be familiar to some of you as it is the setting for the ITV Comedy 'Benidorm' with Jonny Vegas. The hotel itself is actually two seperate hotels with indepent receptions and dining rooms but with shared leisure facitilies. The rooms are decent sized, clean and basically furnished. There is a daily maid service. Food is ok but not that great if you attend closer to the end of the dining times. Seafood figured quite heavilly while were were there which did not appeal to my husband as he hates the stuff. If you also dislike seafood then the range of meals was limited.
