Lovely stay at sol pelicanos, rooms were as expected, clean and serviceable. Food was good, as a vegetarian I always had something to eat. Service was great, very attentive. Since it's the off season we didn't use the pool, but had plenty of activities to do in the day thanks to Javi's yoga classes! Very funny and great for beginners Value for money but would recommend coming when it's a bit warmer since the area was quite quiet.

I’m currently staying at this hotel for a 4-night break, and I’ll start with the positives. The location is fantastic if you want to be close to the Benidorm strip – everything you need is right on your doorstep. The pool area is genuinely one of the best I’ve seen (and the main reason I booked). It was freezing, but that’s to be expected at the end of November; however, it would have been great if the smaller pool was heated. The staff have also been really friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I managed to get a great rate on the room as well, so in terms of value for money, it’s hard to complain too much.||Now for the negatives. The rooms are extremely dated and in noticeably poor condition. The walls are crumbling, and my balcony door doesn’t close properly, meaning I spent the night listening to what genuinely sounded like a hurricane. I could even feel the wind gusting across the bed – no exaggeration. The shower area is very dim and really needs a light; the rainfall shower head could do with a deep clean or replacing altogether. The shower door doesn’t close properly either. On top of that, the AC control unit is broken. The lifts are another low point – one in particular seems to have a mind of its own and feels a bit like being on the Tower of Terror.||Overall, despite the negatives, I would stay again for the price I paid. But this is far from what I expect from a Meliá property. Think low-end 3-star rooms paired with a 4-star pool and amenities. The compromise is the condition of the rooms, which is a real shame.

Entertainment staff are amazing! Especially the Halloween entertainment. Brilliant job! Rooms are very clean - small family room, 4 people squashed in one room. Food is okay - not if you have picky children. Great location - noisy in pelicanos. Pool is freezing but once you’re all the way in it feels okay and it’s to be expected in October. Lifts are fast and easy to use. No long waits this time of year Even entertainment also brilliant.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Rough start as reception couldn’t find my booking and refused to help. After 30 mins we were finally checked in!! But after that had an amazing time, room was clean and tidy, plus a lush view! Very central to everything!! Pool was amazing! Food was good also! However the entertainment staff was amazing!! All of them made an amazing effort! Things from bingo in day time, to the amazing musicals in evening! They evening dressed up for Halloween! Thank you for the best first time in Benidorm! Definitely booking again! X

Fantastic entertainment staff! We loved the Halloween haunted house walk through experience! The shows are great pretty much every night! The greatest showman one was fantastic!! There’s always plenty of seats to choose from in the main show room (comfy chairs to add) Also the play park is open at the night time which is great for the little ones to burn off some steam before bed. Kids disco every night. Only fault would be the barrier from the park to the pool it’s just a strip of material that children can go under, a physical barrier like the entrance gate would of been safer, (my children have additional needs so will often bolt where they should not). Other than that everything else is fantastic!

Awful hotel. Needs knockkg down and rebuilding. Rude staff. Could do less to help. Major room issues, no apology. Got mived thankfully. Bar staff, most if them were rude... REALLY rude. Food was dreadul! Never again. Drinks, only local. No premium brands included. Location excellent and pool area FABULOUS. Such a shame, been wanting to come here for years. Stayed in Ambasaador previouslyl which was incredible.

What a lovely stay we had .|Beautiful pool and the Hotel is in a prime location.|We only went bed and breakfast as lots of places to eat out nearby .|Swimming pool was brilliant especially with people who have difficulty in getting in . |Steps as well as a slope .|My only concern was the lifts were slow especially at meal times.|Mobility scooter was brilliant . It arrived within the hour and charging was next door so easy to access. |Breakfast was brilliant, lots to choose from . |Great stay for family and adults.

Yelp
Just spent a week AI in the Pelicanos, found it to be everything it had been described as, great staff great food (buffet type) but good quality. This is equally a well used hotel by spainish guests and their children, and has a Flintstone theme with organised games and activities. Obviously it has a very Spanish selection with loads of salads, fish, rices & off course my favourite, paella. As we were AI, we had serve yourself White Red Rose Wine & Sangria, Larger & all the pop & fresh juices you could ask for. There was also for the plane eaters plenty of Chips Sausages etc. Ice cream fresh sliced fruit & Spanish sweet stuff fir afters, only problem I sensed was my waist size our room was large with a 40" TV, furniture was a bit dated but other rooms on our floor were updated during our stay. The entertainment at night was first class, high quality stuff with also live English & Spanish football shown in large screen areas. I really enjoyed our stay, we even saw a few of the actors from the TV show Benidorm as they were filming the new series during our stay, but you don't get near the area of the set! Just one word of warning, this hotel has 14 floors! So if you don't like heights you must make that clear when booking. We were on the 9th overlooking the Ocas hotel & pool area and that was high enough for me Overall highly recommend the Sol Pelicanos

Yelp
I stayed in the Hotel Sol Pelicanos Ocas In Late October 2008. This hotel may appear to be familiar to some of you as it is the setting for the ITV Comedy 'Benidorm' with Jonny Vegas. The hotel itself is actually two seperate hotels with indepent receptions and dining rooms but with shared leisure facitilies. The rooms are decent sized, clean and basically furnished. There is a daily maid service. Food is ok but not that great if you attend closer to the end of the dining times. Seafood figured quite heavilly while were were there which did not appeal to my husband as he hates the stuff. If you also dislike seafood then the range of meals was limited.
