Google
5 stars all round for this restaurant. The staff are so warm and welcoming! And accommodating to my dietary requirements. Special shout out to the two ladies who served me 3rd Feb 2025, who both made my experience exceptional. The food is delicious, and the portion sizes are HUGE. You will not leave there hungry :) very healthy and delicious. Food is affordable. The atmosphere is nice, but in a nice way, it is a popular establishment. The staff work very hard to make it a good experience for customers. I will be coming back for sure and bringing others.

Google
What a wonderful find during my short trip to Paris! I had the plate of the day that was perfectly seasoned, so healthy and clearly made with love. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere homey - overall a wonderful experience!!

Salads need to be so complicated that you aren't able to easily remember everything that you tasted. They should also have a startling ingredient that makes you think "I wasn't expecting that!". This place achieved that and, having gone two nights in a row, I realised, to paraphrase Heraclitus, you can never have the same salad twice. The delicious dessert was presented in a little pot that made you have to run your finger round the inside to get every last morsel; something my mum told me was terribly bad manners ... which is probably why I enjoyed it so much. Excellent and surprising.

Google
Best restaurant ever!!! And we are not vegan!!! We are not vegetarian!!! But we love great food! You can tell how much passion the chef puts on his dishes once I’m you taste them! The service is amazing, the atmosphere is laid back and inviting! You leave the place wanting to come back the next day! Food that is good for the soul! If in Paris, you should come to Canal St. Martin to taste this! You will be well surprised and won’t be disappointed!

Review from a Vegan: A simply joyous place to have lunch. Tasty wholesome food reasonably priced... With a real cute atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

Google
Amazing, delicious, fresh and locally sourced and inspired food. Highly recommend the dish of the day. The turmeric hummus is incredible! White wine recommendations paired perfectly. 10/10 The place is super cute, and has some great seating. The padded chairs are nice in the hot weather. Our server was kind enough to translate the entire menu from French to English as well.

The food is perfection! Great flavoura and nice portions! It is a small place but is worth it. The service is great too.

Google
If you’re run down and need a healthy recharge, this is your place! All of their dishes include mega healthy superfoods (which you can also buy) and all dishes are vegan. Vibe is quaint and cozy, right off Canal St-Martin. Service is super friendly but a tad laissez-faire; I frantically tried to get my server’s attention for 10 minutes to no avail while he chatted intently with a colleague.

Yelp
A nice vegan restaurant in the heart of cool Canal Street area. The menu is pretty simple they have raw vegan options or cooked vegan options. Also in assortment of fresh juices. They also have raw healthy vegan desserts. They have seating inside and outside. We got the plate of cooked vegan food to share it came with things like grains a small soup tahini sauce broccoli It was very hearty and tasty. I also got a hibiscus juice which was delicious. The service was fast and very friendly I recommend this place especially with most of the restaurants menus full of meat and cheese.

Yelp
If you're American - DO NOT GO HERE. I was so excited to try this place. The food looked delicious online. We took an Uber all the way there, the place wasn't very busy - there were four people there and multiple open tables. The hostess was super awkward when we started speaking English and told us they were full the rest of the night after we approached her. It was only 7:30 pm. Look, I know we have a really embarrassing president, but I don't think that's any reason to be so rude to all Americans, especially at a vegan restaurant. Go to Le Potager du Charlotte or Wild Moon instead. They aren't racist there.

Yelp
Healthy eaters unite! From the women who run this spot to the heart and soul of the food they prepare for our bodies, this place is heaven on earth. We came in for lunch one day and had the plate and the bowl of the day, which basically had the same items (kidney bean salad, fresh lettuce, lentils, potatoes), with the exception of an eggplant dish. All topped with some lovely bio-rific elements. The food tasted like they use a lot of ginger in their preparation, which was so delicious to me! Also felt really good at the end of the meal, not too full or too much of any one thing. I also had the drink of the day, named "purple" something - can't quite remember. But it was refreshing and purple! I highly recommend this place for a feel-good meal of direct from the source food. Good prices, too, for food that's going to make you feel incredible. Happy eating!

Yelp
Organic, vegan and fresh... so glad I had a chance to visit this quaint cafe during my trip to Paris. My food was fantastic! I had the special of the day - a plate full of veggie goodness. Flavorful and wholesome. The service was friendly and fast; they spoke some English which was appreciated. I took advantage of the menu combo that included a drink and dessert for around 25 euros. Pricey, but worth it! Credit cards are accepted.

Yelp
Delicious food, wonderful service! Came all the way from California, it was worth it.

Yelp
This restaurant was very close to my hotel and turned out to be the best place I ate in Paris! I ate here twice but wished I could have been here every day!!! I'm a vegetarian, adventurous eater, love trying new things...this restaurant and its vibe are just amazing, chill, healthy, balanced, delicious, tasty, and healthful! Everyone there goes out of his/her way to explain the menu and the food. I ordered the Dish of the Day, both times I ate there. My friend ordered the Whole Foods soup each time. All was very well prepared, big portions, reasonably priced too!

Yelp
I finally ate at this healthy hot spot while hanging out with a friend who is serious about super foods and such. The place has always appealed to my aesthetics (retro tiled-floors, barrel seats, rustic interiors) but I could never get my appetite up for the occasion of testing their all-vegetarian, super healthy cooking, and now I know why. My assiette vitaminée sounded like a good mid-afternoon Sunday snack, but the combination of sprouts, bananas, and carob chips really didn't do it for me. My friend's 20E brunch plate of quinoa, curry vegetables, and other healthy garb didn't temp me in the slightest either. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against eating well, but the presentation and flavor combinations feel very retro, as if I were in dining in a health food store in Brooklyn circa 1978. I will say that the service is insanely warm, the place charming and super foods supermarket section very impressive, but if I'm going to eat vegetarian in the neighborhood, I'd much rather go to Bob's.

Yelp
This place is as vegan as they come! The food is 100% vegan and 100% delicious. Before you even order your meal they bring over a few things for you to try. Unless you're a super food expert you will no doubt never have tasted what they put in front of you but it is definitely interesting to try if not all that delicious. The plat du jour is always different and is essentially a big plate with a selection of different dishes, half of which are raw. The only downside for me was not knowing exactly what I was eating, I would have loved to have known what was in each dish but I'm sure they would have told me had I have asked. Not the most reasonably priced food at 17.50 euro for a main but it was definitely worth the money in my opinion. Or you can choose a fresh juice and a dessert option for 22.50 euro. There is also a little epicerie inside the restaurant selling super healthy products as well as raw chocolate. A must for any health conscious foodie who loves trying new flavours.

Yelp
I arrived in Paris with a terrible flu, and managed to stumble in the rain to this seeming hole-in-the-wall restaurant and shop. After eating there, I was convinced that it cured me of my illness and allowed me to have a wonderful week in Paris! I found the menu overwhelming, as even in English I wouldn't know what half the things were. There's a guide to all of the South American ingredients, which is helpful. I ordered a soup and could choose a flavor to add - I believe mine was "energizing" which included spirulina. The soup was amazing, full of greens, rice, beans, random other vegetables and sweet bits and sour bits and so many flavors all in a nourishing broth (with my flavor ingredients added). My beau got a plate which included many of the same ingredients. We also had the purple passion juice (apple juice, purple maize, ginger, and I don't know what else) which was delicious. They give you little nibbles of raw caco and some kind of berry. It was a bit slow because there was just one person working for a while, and many people came in to buy packages of the different ingredients that line one wall. Nevertheless someone helped us in English as best she could, and the food was made with care. The server even returned to our plates after bringing them to add a dollop of something delicious. The place itself is spare but inviting enough. I'd highly recommend this for a unique vegan experience.

Yelp
A Vegan's Dream in Paris! For eaters with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or other dietary restrictions the Sol Semilla is a great dining option where you can find delicious food, that is prepared with the your health in mind. The menu is small but each dish is prepared on the spot by the small kitchen in the back of the room. In addition to its constantly changing daily menus, the restaurant's menu is created with a environmentally sustainable practices. Within the restaurant there is also a small shop where you can purchase different grains, spices, and powders that are used in the prepared meals. Keep in mind however, that the restaurant is pretty small so it may not be the best setting to accommodate a larger group.

Yelp
This review and others can be found at my vegan blog - www.veega.co I walked across the city to visit Sol Semilla for dinner and it was well worth it! I spotted the brightly colored cafe, which also houses a small market for their selection of supplements and organic food products. I took a seat at the window for prime people-watching while dining alone. My ordering decision was very easy because the menu is short, but my meal definitely didn't lack variety. I ordered the Plate of the Day which included about six different tasty, nicely seasoned vegan side dishes made with chickpeas, beets, potatoes, brown rice, homemade hummus, and garnished with greens and apples. I appreciated that the ingredients were all whole vegetables and grains, no processed soy products here. They had various vinegars and oil on the table to dress the dish. For a beverage I opted for a green juice and skipped the full meal option which also included a dessert, since I was already feeling full from my colorful plate. My juice was the Green Detox, apple juice mixed with chlorella, a vibrant green algae in the form of powder. I would visit Sol Semilla again. The food was nourishing, fresh, and reminded me of a home-cooked meal, something I was craving given my longer than usual travels in Europe. It was a bit pricey (15.50 Euros for the dish alone, plus a couple more for the juice), but I was happy to spend it given my options in this city. - from veega.co

Yelp
I was in Paris with my girlfriend, who has gluten allergies, and I took her to Canal St. Martin. We got hungry, and luckily Yelp pointed me in the right gluten-free direction. We are mostly pescetarian, so we didn't mind having vegetarian food. It is not an exaggeration that it has been the most delicious vegetarian food I have had so far in the 30 years of life. And the prices are decent.

Yelp
I came here for brunch with a friend, and left feeling it had all been TOO healthy (if that's a thing). We had plates with different veggies, rice, and curried chickpeas. Everything was good, but nothing standout. We each had a piece of raw chocolate tart for dessert, and maybe its just me, or maybe it was this particular tart, but after this I don't think I'm a huge fan of raw or "healthy" desserts (if you're going to have dessert I think you should just go for it, no? The more refined carbs the better). However, if you feel like you need a super healthy & vegan meal, then this is your place.

Jade F.

Yelp
Great service! My waiter was so kind and helpful. The food was kinda pricey for what is is in my opinion, but good non the less. The menu changes daily so they always have new flavors and new dishes to try. It's a pretty small place and kinda cold (probably because I went at 8:30pm in December)

Yelp
We braved wind and rain to eat here, my boyfriend and I. Limited French-speaking skills in our pockets, we walked in and were ready to eat. We weren't too sure about what everything was on the chalkboard, but we knew everything there was vegan and I figured that we would both order le menu for €20 since it came with a choice of either a drink or soup, a main plate, and a dessert of our choice. Since it was a chilly day, my boyfriend and I both chose soup - he chose a cardamom soup?, I opted for the spirulina and ginger soup. They were both served in small glasses and were delicious. The waitress also brought out some yummy garbanzo beans and some savory crackers that looked to be dehydrated superfood things. Whatever they were, they were delicious! Up next, we had the main plate. It had a green salad with avocado, some red saucy curried potatoes, a small cacao nib-nut-herb mix, some roti flat bread, a small bit of nut and date paste?, and some herbed tofu?... Whatever it all was, I savored the flavors thoroughly - everything was so good! By the time I was finished with my plate I was nearly too full to think of any more food. But our meals came with dessert so I reluctantly (yeah right) chose something from the chalkboard... I ended up picking a raw madeline. It was shaped just like a madeline cookie, covered in a sweet [probably agave] syrup, dusted with cocoa and cacao nibs. My boyfriend picked a blini, and his came out equally as beautiful. It was just the right amount of sweet that I needed at the end of a beautiful meal. They also brought out a hot glass of their cacao drink for me and a ginger drink for my boyfriend, since they were getting ready to close. The owner and waitress were very friendly. They both knew we didn't speak French well, and they said they did not speak English very well yet they tried to inform us of all the special ingredients that were used. We complimented them on their beautiful and flavorful food and told them that we were very lucky to have found their restaurant being vegan tourists in Paris. I'd definitely recommend this tiny restaurant/juice bar/superfood boutique to anyone looking for a superfood taste experience. And if I ever find myself in Paris, I will definitely eat at Voy Alimento again!

Yelp
They get four stars only because the food was very good. The service was a bit unpleasant. I had dinner here at about 7pm on a Thursday night; was supposed to meet up with a friend but it didn't work out. The ?owners? were not pleased with me arriving so late. Last I checked, their website said they closed at 8pm. They served me, and I guess they were as nice as annoyed people could be. The food was delicious though; I had the grande assiette, which was had salad, strange but tasty sauces, potatoes and rice. I was unfamiliar with the ingredients. Prices were reasonable. Still, it felt very strange eating all alone, knowing that everyone working there wanted me to go away as quickly as possible. This is a very small restaurant, more like a juice bar with a few small tables. Very casual. I'd go back I think, although much earlier in the day.

Piper N.

Yelp
Lovely staff, delicious food. Love how in France so many places just offer a delicious fresh plate of the day, no worrying about looking through a menu. Delicious soup. All delicious!!

Yelp
Amazing! I loved this spot and will definitely go back next time I'm in Paris. The soups were so good, as were the other vegan options I tried.

Kat O.

Yelp
Let me begin by saying that the people who work in Sol Semilla are beyond friendly. They will go out of their way to make you comfortable, which is a valuable quality in a city that is constantly combatting the stereotype of bad service. That being said, the food is lackluster. To me, there is no continuity in the menu. They have soups, which are essentially broth, and the plat du jour. The plat du jour can be good, but be aware that it does change. My favorite thing at this place are the drinks. They are so good! I can't remember the exact name, but I think it's the Purple Power drink, it's very good. Bottom line: don't go out of your way for this place. If you like raw foods, this place is for you. If you are bringing someone to try vegan food for the first time, do not go to Sol Semilla.

Ben B.

Yelp
I bought a lot of raw cacao. So awesome this place. I am grateful it exists. FULL REVIEW + MORE PICTURES: http://awesomeveganblog.com/2012/10/28/raw-vegan-organic-superfoods-at-sol-semilla-in-paris-france/

Yelp
This is a vegan and gluten free cute little restaurant that's very yummy and has many healthy options !! Highly recommend the Super Bowl. Also the people working there are friendly and they have a menu in English if you wish to use that.

Yelp
Sometimes you just need to eat out - and when you do, sometimes all you really need are super foods. The concept here is not that simple. Sol Semilla is a South American vegan restaurant which uses almost exclusively super foods in its concoctions. And not just any super food (there were no chia seeds in sight) - expect some maca, guaraná, açaí, spirulina and other ingredients that make my Brazilian heart skip a beat with joy. But that's not all - if you happen to fall in love with the almost-instant benefits of these miracle fruits, roots and seeds, you can walk away with some of your own. The grocery shop part of Sol Semilla is sure to make one drool. Oh yeah, and they also host workshops and cooking classes. As I said, heaven on earth. Now as for the price: c'est pas donné, as the French say. 14,50 euros for the assiette du jour makes my wallet cringe a little bit, but 22,50 euros for the menu (drink or soup + main dish + dessert) is a justified price. I chose to drink the hot xocolatl (raw cocoa, urucum, pepper, agave, cinnamon), which I highly recommend. The assiette du jour included açaí caviar, grains with spirulina, a bunch of veggies cooked with cocoa... and so much more I can't even name. For dessert, I picked raw cocoa truffles which were simple to die for. I was the happiest camper by the time we left, not to say I was very tempted to just turn around and experience Sol Semilla all over again.

Yelp
Excellent vegan restaurant with an emphasis on delicious grains and native ingredients from Latin America (acai, nopal, lucuma, etc..). The daily juices, soup, entree and dessert are always excellent and very fresh. You cannot wrong with them. Customer service is very attentive and polite.

Ellie P.

Yelp
This place specializes in the more unusual alternative plant-derived food products and additives. It's not a full grocery store -- it specializes in a few dozen syrups, powders and dried plant parts (leaves, roots). It's more off the beaten track than the Naturalias and Biocoops of Paris. If you are looking for big packages of stevia (also available at Naturalia), yacon syrup, aloe vera liquid, spirulina, jojoba, guarana powder, or that sort of stuff, this is the place to go. They also have cacao nibs and other tasty goodies. It's pricey, but if you can't find it anywhere else, try here.

Dee P.

Yelp
A very large price for a very small pile of adequate but uninspiring food. We were starving at the end of our meal. We felt exploited. There's a good chip shop just along the 'rue' from Sol Semilla. Do your pocket a favour stop there & go no further. Vegan food can be much much better than this & less mean. I always wondered why vegans looked so scraggy, now I know. They live in Paris & frequent substandard vegan restaurants. The only plus point was the lovely, lovely service. Thank you for lightening an otherwise disappointing, dispiriting experience. For those who want to experience vegan food at its best look no further than the Garden Cafe in Woodstock, USA

Marina K.

Yelp
I got the plate de jour and for 15 euros I expected a little more flavor and for my mashed potatoes to be warm, but it was just ok. Nothing special. Will not be back.

Min C.

Yelp
I am not vegetarian but I do enjoy the odd vegetarian meal here and there. Came here for brunch and it was pretty good for a vegan place. I had the drink of the day which was apple with grapes and cinnamon? Anyways the cup was a midget and it was not a tasty combo. The drinks are def a rip off here for 5 euros a cup. I had the dish of the day for my main and it was a bunch of random things together on one plate. There were 3 warmish items (2 out of the 3 had curry powder in it), and the rest were salads of some sort. The broccoli, carrots and salad all had an amazinggg dressing that was used (I think some peanut influence). Lastly, after waiting forever for dessert to arrive, I tried the vegan cake. it was okayy, definitely not something I would get again. Dense, dry and basically everything u expect from a vegan cake haha. Though you feel SO healthy after the meal as a bonus. don't think I would come back again but it was good to try once!

Sarah J.

Yelp
This place was fantastic. We got there a half hour before they closed, so there wasn't a lot of food left. But they whipped up a soup complet for us on the spot. It was delicious and a nice healthy break.
