Had an amazing dinner at Solar 31 da Calçada. The staff were super friendly, funny, and spoke excellent English, which made the whole experience really enjoyable. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and care about their guests. We tried the crab, octopus, and a few other seafood dishes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The octopus was especially tender, and the crab was rich and satisfying. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The restaurant has a cozy local feel with a warm atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed evening with good food and conversation. Definitely one of the best seafood meals I’ve had during my trip and would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon!

We found this spot tucked away in a small street, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. We came specifically for the grilled lobster, and it was incredible—fresh, perfectly cooked, and served simply without any fuss. Just a heads-up on pricing: quality seafood here does come at a price. We paid €140/kg for the lobster, and I’d recommend aiming for about 750g per person to get a good portion. That said, it was worth every penny. We paired the meal with the house Vinho Verde (green wine), which was crisp and went perfectly with the shellfish. The service was also top-notch; the staff is very welcoming and linguistically talented! They speak very good English, and we even heard them chatting comfortably in Italian and Spanish with other tables. Highly recommend if you want an authentic Lisbon seafood experience away from the tourist traps!

Travel feels complete when you find a place like this! Delicious food amazing service and a cheerful vibe that makes you smile before the first bite 😄 What more could you ask for? 🤩 I sadly discovered this restaurant on my last day in Lisbon 😞 even though it was only a few meters away from where I was staying. I ordered fish and shrimp soup with garlic and spices. It was tasty and fresh and I even forgot to take a photo of the shrimp before it disappeared 😅 Just a small note. The shrimp had a little more oil than I hoped for but everything else was wonderful. A beautiful restaurant with a kind team and an amazing vibe. Thank you 🍤✨

A friend of mine got a recommendation from his friend to try this restaurant—and if you're a seafood lover, you absolutely must go. It was our first dinner in Lisbon, right before heading to Lagos for the next three days, and I have to say: this was the best meal we had during our entire trip to Portugal. The seafood was incredibly fresh and flavorful—it left us with such a wonderful memory. We visited several other seafood restaurants after this one, and every single time, we found ourselves saying, "That first place was still the best." We're even thinking of going back on our last day in Lisbon during our high school reunion trip—it was that good. The food was tasty across the board. Even my six-year-old son, who I brought along, loved the razor clams with garlic (and he's usually a picky eater!). The service was just as excellent as the food. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and helpful. We ordered a variety of dishes to share among the group, and every single one was a hit. Highly recommend—this place is an absolute gem!

Wonderful seafood restaurant, fish and crab 🦀 are fresh, you select your favorite and they cook it, they need motlre appetizers for their menu but other wise everything was amazing 😻 and perfect. People there are very helpful as well, the pictures in the menu don’t match the real food 🥘

Last Saturday night we had a sumptuous seafood dinner with my friend and the food was absolutely amazing! Lobsters were fresh and tasty! Definitely a must try whenever you are in Lisbon!

Solar 31 is renowned for its seafood and it did not disappoint. They have the seafood on display and show it to you before they cook it, still alive and kicking. My favorites were the raw oysters, the crispy mackerel, and the crab. They cook some of the crab meat with the roe into a creamy dip and serve it to you with toast chips. It was such a unique way of eating crab!
