Solar dos Mouros Lisboa

The hotel is located super close to everything! The room came with complimentary wine and fruits! The room has amazing sunrise and sunset views! If I could give an additional star for customer service, I would! Francois and Bruno were so kind and so helpful! We had an early morning flight on our last day and they arranged an early breakfast for us at 4 in the morning so that we were able to eat before we left! They also helped carry our luggage into and out of our rooms! Definitely the best customer service we've ever had at a hotel! Hope to visit again soon!

Amazing location in Alfama! You’re a 5 minute walk from the castle and many great restaurants, bars, and cafes. We really enjoyed our time at the Solar Dos Mouros hotel! The biggest plus for me was the wonderful service by Bruno and Rio. They are upmost professionals with great recommendations. ||The hotel has just a few boutique rooms but the rooms are all very nicely decorated, clean, and big. ||I was surprised to see some previous reviews saying the breakfast was just OK. We really enjoyed it and they had fresh fruit, sausages, crepes, eggs, breads, pastries, smoked salmon, veggies- truly the works! They even made the breakfast earlier for us when we had to leave for the airport. ||One small issue with one of our rooms but Bruno was able to resolve it immediately, which was very appreciated! We’d happily stay here again when we’re in Lisbon!

We booked the roof top terrace and we’re not disappointed. The team were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a great time! The room had amazing views and the bed was super comfy. There was a kettle a coffee machine a fridge and a welcome basket of fruit and a decanter of red wine! The balcony was amazing with views to die for! Only word of caution is there are no lifts, so ensure you are up for the 10 mini flights of stairs! Location wise it is perfectly located to the castle and the front with a lift that takes you down and the most amazing bakery next door. There is a restaurant/wine bar on site as well as the terrace with amazing views of the city and an excellent cafe/bar service. Breakfast is ok but probably the weakest offering. All in all a great place to stay if you are looking to visit Lisbon with a team that give THE best customer service!

Great little boutique hotel with fabulous views. Right next to the castle. Room was great with fresh fruit and port provided. What lifts this hotel even further are the staff - Francois and Rio on the front desk are awesome going above and beyond to help understand the area, how to get around etc. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff in La Terrace restaurant were also outstanding. Breakfast superb too and sets you up for a day of walking the hills of Lisbon! Would definitely stay here again if back in Lisbon.

My boyfriend and I (mid-30s) stayed here in August 2024. We loved our stay! The staff here is unbelievably friendly and helpful! There isn't a ton of common area space but the breakfast area has an incredible view of the city, river and bridge. ||Our room for the first few nights had two large windows with that same view and a comfortable bed with ample storage space. The bathroom lacked storage but was otherwise nice. There was also a loft area which we didn't end up using for anything but could be useful for families with older kids or friends staying together. ||For our last night we upgraded to a suite (we had to extend our trip one night and our prior room was booked) and it was so beautiful and special, with French doors leading to a little balconette and so many windows showing that same amazing view, plus a huge double shower and king size bed. Very romantic. ||The location of this hotel is fantastic, not just because of the incredible views and the convenience for visiting the Castelo de Sao Jorge (which is steps away), but also because it is right next door to hands-down our favorite bakery from our time in Portugal (including our absolute favorite pastel de nata) -- Pastelaria San Antonio.

I am relatively well traveled and have stayed in many boutique hotels. The Solar dos Mouros in Lisbon is on the very top of my list. The location is outstanding and the hotels has a lovely, open dining area and a wine bar both with stunning views. The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. The mimosas in the morning were an added touch. It is in the perfect Lisbon location with an elevator close by if you need a little help with the hills. There is a grocery store right next to the elevator on the 1st level. The hotel sits on top of one of the hills and is a very short walk to the castle and a 10 minute walk to city center The MOST important and wonderful thing about my 4 day experience at this lovely boutique hotel was the wonderful staff. I can't say enough about the level of hospitality I experienced during my staff. It was definitely my home away from home. I have to give a very special shout-out to my new friends, the staff at Hotel Solar dos Mouros....The wonderful manager Bruno and his excelent staff Francois, Momo and Rio. I hope to see all of them on my next trip to Lisbon.

the hotel is located just minutes away from the castle in a quiet street of limited traffic. Great views over the city and river. The staff were very welcoming and could not have been more helpful, even providing us with breakfast when we had to leave at 5am on our last morning. Lovely terrace. Highly recommended

Outstanding staff and incredible location make this hotel a winner in every way.||The setting is unconventional-the entrance is more for the restaurant (which is really good). The room I booked from the website was really small, so we asked for an upgrade. It was worth the extra money. The top floor terrace room has the absolute best view of Lisbon-I’m not exaggerating. There is no elevator, but the very kind staff hauled our luggage up.|We saw a couple of other rooms & they were also nice with great views.|This was a truly great experience!
