Firstly, transportation from airport to hotel is easy by taking the airport limousine bus and a short walk of 5 mins. As the road leading to the hotel is closed at certain timings, dropoff and pickups by taxi can only be done by the main street. The hotel is in a fantastic location for shopping and eating. The famous Myeongdong Kyoja is directly opposite and Isaac toast is around the corner. ||Hotel lobby is on the top floor. Free ice cream is provided at the lobby area. The rooms were fairly small for family twin (double +single bed) for my family of 3 adults + 1 toddler but could still open up 2 full size luggages. Housekeeping was done every alternate day, but they provided the a full set of towels, mineral water+ coffee/ tea+ amenities in a tote bag placed outside the door every day. They even provide pajamas! ||It was great that the toilet and shower were separated. We also liked that the toilet bowl seat was heated with automatic opening and flush. Did not really like the sensor towards the toilet area that kept lighting up esp at night when everybody was sleeping. Also, we would have liked a small side table at the other corner of the double bed. ||We would stay again if we returned.

No regrets booking this hotel and would come back on my next visit to Seoul! The location is right in the heart of myeongdong and is so convenient to walk to the train station. There are small marts and convenience stores right outside the hotel so it’s easy to grab water / snacks. The rooms are also very clean with smart controls, and the amenities are well-stocked. Best decision to stay here!

It is a pleasant hotel to stay. One of their most prominent strengths is that the front office service team is well-versed in multi languages, primarily English, Mandarin, and Japanese... Very impressive! The room is orderly, and they are liberal in providing essential amenities, though due to environmental concerns, there are a few items excluded (no big concern). Good location and conveniently situated nearby train station/public transportation. Highly recommended.

The location was really good. Near to the mrt exit, near to the DMZ tour pick up point and bus stop to airport! The shopping and night market is also very convenient. The only thing slightly disappointed was the air condition in the room was not too strong. My friend and I were there during summer and the hotel provides us a portable fan to put in the room instead.

Excellent service! I booked the room through Agoda and had a bad experience with them. Four days before my trip, they kept sending emails stating that my payment had failed, even though my family and I tried several cards from different banks. I reached out to the hotel directly, and Vivian was helpful and efficient in reserving the exact room and nearly matching Agoda’s price. During my stay, I also met Do Hee, who always carried a smile on her face - very kind, gentle, and helpful. Regarding the room, although it was advertised as “no window,” there was actually a window (not openable) behind the bathroom mirror, which was convenient since I could check the weather before heading out. Nothing to complain about with the facilities, except that I woke up feeling achy a couple of mornings - probably from traveling too much(?), since I didn’t notice anything wrong with the bed or pillows. I absolutely loved the location. It’s so convenient for food (Myeongdong Kyoja is right across the hotel!) and shopping, and it feels like the center of everything, since both the train and bus stations are only short walks away. And guess what - I even walked to Namsan Tower! Of course, it wasn’t a five-minute walk, but it was definitely doable. It’s the 10th anniversary of Solaria Nishitetsu Seoul, and they gave out very cute luggage tags. I hope they continue their great work so I’ll have the chance to come back in the future!

Pros :|Unbeatable location, a few mins walk from|the airport limousine bus drop off point.|Super convenient at middle of myeongdong yet superb sound proofing. ||Good variety of Asian and Western breakfast selections. Cozy restaurant with great views. It does get quite busy and crowded around 8.30 to 9 am.||Appreciate the earlier check in around 1 pm+. ||Staff was helpful offering help to exchange our loose coins to Korean notes instead. ||Money changing machine also available at the reception area.||Cons :|Booked twin room, a tad small with two luggages. ||Bathroom shower is separated with the WC which is pretty tight spaced. ||Lack of bathroom hooks somehow at this hotel also. Why do some hotels think we don’t need to hang our clothes like we do at home?||Aircon gives out tickling sound which cannot be controlled

The Solaria is a basic plus hotel. It doesn't have so many standard things. There is no restaurant except for breakfast, no gym, pool, work out equipment, views, etc. It is stepped down. The rooms are small see photos and I bought the best one. The rooms for 1 person or two 21 year old. The average client is a small step above a backpacker. The command of English is limited at best because the hotel is built for Japanese tourists. Which you wouldn't know. For the price of this hotel and the location... no taxi can pick you and your bags up to and from the airport, you would think they would do something special somehow. But they don't.

Let's get right to it! Solaria is wonderful for its: 1. Consistency. I know every Solaria I stay at will have similar if not identical standards and offerings, from their hospitality to the room deodorizer, and linen/room service. 2. Breakfast buffet. It's such a treat to wake up in a new city and enjoy some of the local delights right where you're staying. I always say I won't eat too much so I can enjoy something else throughout the day, but I can never stop myself. 3. Efficient and helpful staff. Ask and ye shall receive, whether it's help getting a cab, directions, recommendations, etc. The only thing to know beforehand with this location is that it's not accessible by car, meaning you have to walk for 5-15 minutes, depending on where you're dropped off. But I noticed all drivers will try their best to get you as close as they can, so there's that.
