Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

Excellent location for shops, restaurants, bars, and easy walk to subways. As a tourist this was ideal and easy to come back to during the daily activities! The hotel itself was clean and the staff always happy to help e.g booking taxi for the airport. Rooms are on the small side but clean and comfortable- bed and sofa. There was no noise from street level but we stayed during the refurbishment period and hammering started quite early. Aside from this it was a great stay.

Only steps away from myeongdong night market. Traffic gets really crazy so be aware, roads shut down in the evening. We landed late afternoon and what was suppose to be an hour ride to the hotel, ended up being 2 hours. Had to get dropped off a block and half away because of the road closure and traffic which we did not mind. Us and the uber taxi were both sick of the traffic. The lobby is on the 21st floor. Beautiful and spacious. Check in was easy. Gave us a bottle of champagne for it being our honeymoon. Also the breakfast here is really delicious. Mix of western and traditional Korean dishes. The view is also beautiful in the breakfast room as it is also on the 21st floor overlooking the city. So I recommend adding breakfast to your booking. Check in also came with a lot of information. So be prepared for that. They gave fresh towels everyday and they dropped off American style towels which we honestly didn’t touch, the towels they already have in the room was perfect enough. But they would keep dropping off the towels. The room is spacious enough. I think any smaller would be too crowded with our luggage. The bidet is one of the nicer ones that greets you automatically when you come in. And is heated. The shower and bathtub combo is nice. Water gets hot and gets hot fast. They also have coin laundry washer and dryer on the 6th floor that also has a steamer. It was one of the cleanest and nicer ones I’ve seen at a hotel. I would definitely recommend those who wants to be in myeongdong or first time in Seoul, to stay here. Night time is lively on the streets but you don’t hear the noise.

In the heart of Myeongdong, this hotel has the best location. Despite the busy-ness in this area, we didn't hear any noise at all in our room on the 12th floor throughout the day and the night. The toilet/bidet inside the room is separate from the shower, so 2 people can do 2 things at the same time, which is a typical feature in Japanese room design. Breakfast is buffet style which has a good varety and is absolutely delicious.||I also love the service of their front desk. Their staff speaks 3 languages - English, Korean, Japanese. They are all very friendly and proactive in helping hotel guests. Dohui Kim is one of the staff who helped me call a local company to find out if they had a local physical shop to visit, and whether I can order their products online. Not only was Dohui very kind in jotting down all my questions and making the call for me when the company was open later that day, she also replied me through email before I went back to front desk in the afternoon.||The stay at this hotel has exceeded my expectation. I would love to come back to stay here again for my next visit to Seoul.

No regrets booking this hotel and would come back on my next visit to Seoul! The location is right in the heart of myeongdong and is so convenient to walk to the train station. There are small marts and convenience stores right outside the hotel so it’s easy to grab water / snacks. The rooms are also very clean with smart controls, and the amenities are well-stocked. Best decision to stay here!

Great location right next to Myeondong walking street and all of the shops and restaurants! Close to the 4 subway line and myeondong station. Rooms are spacious for Seoul, although not big by American standards. Staff is accommodating and very friendly. Would definitely stay again for our next trip to Seoul!

Firstly, transportation from airport to hotel is easy by taking the airport limousine bus and a short walk of 5 mins. As the road leading to the hotel is closed at certain timings, dropoff and pickups by taxi can only be done by the main street. The hotel is in a fantastic location for shopping and eating. The famous Myeongdong Kyoja is directly opposite and Isaac toast is around the corner. ||Hotel lobby is on the top floor. Free ice cream is provided at the lobby area. The rooms were fairly small for family twin (double +single bed) for my family of 3 adults + 1 toddler but could still open up 2 full size luggages. Housekeeping was done every alternate day, but they provided the a full set of towels, mineral water+ coffee/ tea+ amenities in a tote bag placed outside the door every day. They even provide pajamas! ||It was great that the toilet and shower were separated. We also liked that the toilet bowl seat was heated with automatic opening and flush. Did not really like the sensor towards the toilet area that kept lighting up esp at night when everybody was sleeping. Also, we would have liked a small side table at the other corner of the double bed. ||We would stay again if we returned.

It is a pleasant hotel to stay. One of their most prominent strengths is that the front office service team is well-versed in multi languages, primarily English, Mandarin, and Japanese... Very impressive! The room is orderly, and they are liberal in providing essential amenities, though due to environmental concerns, there are a few items excluded (no big concern). Good location and conveniently situated nearby train station/public transportation. Highly recommended.

The location was really good. Near to the mrt exit, near to the DMZ tour pick up point and bus stop to airport! The shopping and night market is also very convenient. The only thing slightly disappointed was the air condition in the room was not too strong. My friend and I were there during summer and the hotel provides us a portable fan to put in the room instead.
