SOLE Seafood & Grill

Enjoyed a really nice lunch in Sole yesterday. Have not been here for a long time and it did not disappoint. Staff were very friendly and attentive, food was very taste and well presented. We were booked in for 2:30 and offered an early bird menu which was very good value. Nice touch of the taster oysters to start and mini mince pies served with our coffee. Cocktails were very good too. Overall very enjoyable and will be back

Connemara oysters with crab claws and a prawn cocktail for starters, all super delicious. The Dover sole main was fantastic. Excellent service and attentive staff. Well worth the money.

Cool but busy restaurant. Get reservations at least a day beforehand. We walked by the first day and stopped for diner but it was booked up so we made reservations for the next night. The manager gave us some alternate places to eat just around the corner and it was great. The service is top notch and the wait staff are very friendly. The food was outstanding and the drinks were great.

Very good food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service! Larger portions than expected , well worth the money. Would recommend and will be returning in the future!

Had a wonderful time at Sole on Monday 30th December. We hadn't booked and they were great in fitting the two of us in as walk ins. The service was knowledgeable, polite, prompt and responsive. When we were ordering (from the set menu) the waitress provided good suggestions to ensure we got the most from our meal advising us of the similarity between the chowder and fish pie, we changed our order on this advice. the set menu gave a good selection of options. The food arrived in a timely manner and was cooked perfectly. We both had the chowder, now my previous experience of this is a thickish soup, however this was a thinish broth with a very generous amount of fish and shelfish which had been excellently cooked and nicely seasoned - it was lovely and we were both complimentary of the flavours. I would definetly reccomend the monkfish and Chorizo!! Generous amount of Monkfish.

Lovely food, one of the best lunch of my life, we were celebrating our wedding, the waitress was really kind and very helpful with the plates. P.s.: We can’t remember the waitress name but she is tall, skinny, maybe asian. Lovely non alcohol prosseco.
