Unreal seafood here. Nothing trendy. Great execution and atmosphere.

Sole Seafood Grill could have been absolutely perfect if it weren’t for one staff member. The food itself was incredibly delicious — a fantastic selection, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The warm and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant made it a lovely place to enjoy a meal. Almost all of the staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, there was one woman who seemed constantly sour and unapproachable. At times, we were on the verge of asking if she could avoid serving our table because every time she came by, she seemed visibly annoyed, as if being there was a chore. It really didn’t fit with the otherwise welcoming and relaxed vibe of the restaurant. However, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the rest of the staff, our evening remained wonderful. The overall experience was still very positive, and the delicious food and pleasant atmosphere more than made up for that one awkward interaction.

We went here as a special birthday dinner for my dad. The food was delicious, the portions huge, and overall a decent upscale meal. The only downside to our experience was that we were seated at a high top table (even with a reservation), that it was very loud, and that it was HOT! The temperature inside was so hot and stuffy it was insane. I think we dressed for the older weather outside and so when we came in, our clothes were too warm. There were so many people crammed in which also didn’t help the temperature. Moving onto the food, it’s a preset “Christmas dinner” when I went in December. So an appetizer, main course, and dessert. We ordered some cocktails, a bottle of Prosecco, and a red wine. The drinks were all great and no notes there. We got oysters, the Guinness salmon, and the burrata. One person liked the oysters, one didn’t care for them too much. The salmon and burrata was basic but still good. For mains, we got the sole, two steaks, and the venison. The sole was de-boned at the table, which was awesome and a surprise (to us). It was light, soft, and flavorful. I loved the sauce they added on the side. The steak was great- cooked to perfection and so BIG! The portions blew our mind and we couldn’t even finish it. The venison was light and tasty and not gamey at all. For desserts, we got the pear mousse, the rhubarb slice, the chocolate Yule log, and the Christmas pudding. All were great and we couldn’t finish them.

We ordered the much-anticipated Seafood Tower (€137): a stunning mix of hot and cold delights. The top tier featured warm lobster and mussels, while the bottom showcased chilled classics (oysters, prawns, and smoked salmon) all fresh and flavorful. The combination of hot and cold seafood worked beautifully together. A special mention for the fresh sourdough bread, don’t be shy about taking two or three slices to soak up those delicious sauces. For drinks, my wife enjoyed a glass of vintage brut Champagne (€38), while I paired the tower with a New Zealand Cabernet Sauvignon, both choices complemented the meal perfectly. For dessert, we indulged in the house specialty: the Guinness Cake, a rich Guinness-infused sponge with white-chocolate and coffee ganache, cacao nibs, and toasted almonds. We rounded off the evening with a glass of port wine, a lovely finish to the meal. That said, the service didn’t quite match the food. Our server seemed new and a bit unsure, and it was surprising that a restaurant of this caliber didn’t offer more experienced server. While the food and drinks were excellent, the service slightly dampened the overall experience. Still, come for the fantastic seafood, especially that tower, and enjoy the fine drink pairings. Hopefully, you’ll have a smoother service experience than we did!

I am delighted we gave Sole another chance. We originally came here in October for a special birthday meal and we had a very disappointing experience. The service was very poor and we were both ill with food poisoning after the meal. We advised Sole of this and they were most apologetic, followed due process to check their seafood with suppliers, and invited us back for another meal. Over the weekend we tried Sole again, and the experience was incredible. They made us feel special from start to finish, we were seated in a lovely small room and greeted with champagne! My mum and I were very impressed with the selection of dishes on the Christmas set menu - seemed like there was something for everyone… even if you didn’t like finish. Unfortunately I didn’t catch the name of the young man serving us but he could not have been more attentive and his level of service was possibly the highlight of the whole evening. The star of the show was our main courses; both the sea bass and monkfish were cooked to perfection. Thank you to all the team at Sole for a gorgeous Sunday evening!

Google
We had the most amazing evening at SOLE Seafood & Grill in Dublin. From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed — the staff were warm, attentive, and really made the experience special without ever being over the top. The food was just incredible. We started with oysters — so fresh and full of flavor — and the oyster tempura, which was crispy, light, and absolutely delicious. The prawn cocktail was perfect, a classic done right, and the mussels were plump and cooked in a broth we couldn’t get enough of. The seafood chowder was rich, creamy, and comforting — honestly one of the best we’ve had. And the highlight of the night? The Sole Meunière. Cooked to perfection, buttery, delicate, and absolutely bursting with flavor. Every bite was a treat. The whole evening felt like such a celebration of fresh Irish seafood. The food, the atmosphere, the service — everything came together perfectly. If you love seafood (or even if you just want to try some of the best Dublin has to offer), do yourself a favor and book a table here. We can’t recommend SOLE enough!

Google
Delicious meal this evening at Sole. Started with the delicate crab claws, then we shared the sea bass and sole meunière which was expertly deboned tableside for us. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Add to that the elegant interior and professional service, we had a wonderful evening. The menu is pricey, €60 for the sole, but we shared it between two and the taste was worth the price if you’re looking for a special occasion treat.

Google
My experience at this restaurant was outstanding. From the moment we entered this place, we could feel that the service treated us at the highest level. The Christmas dinner menu has a lot of options to choose from, so everyone can find something for themselves. All the dishes we chose were delicious, and the staff made sure we felt taken care of the entire time. I will definitely visit this restaurant again

Google
Lovely atmosphere and enjoyable food! We had a great time here. Some of us went for the early bird menu, which offers great value for money, while others opted for the lobster and the vegetarian dishes. The vegetarian options were decent, though they could be improved to better reflect the overall quality of the place. The highlights were definitely the mussels and the Guinness cake—both were absolutely delicious! All in all, a very pleasant dining experience.

Yelp
I came to SOLE for oysters and seafood, and it delivered. I did the oyster selection and tried all four types available that night, and it was genuinely fun comparing them. I had clear favourites and ended up ordering extra rock oysters after. I tried 4 types of oysters, and I chose the rock oyster for the rest of the meal. The oyster selection is priced at €7.00 for 2 oysters, which makes it dangerously easy to keep adding "just two more rock oysters" . The oyster tempura was also a win, and it's €16.50 for 4 oysters. We shared the 10oz rib eye (€49.50) and it was good, but steak-wise other places win, so I'd personally focus on the seafood here. The atmosphere felt lively and polished without being stiff. It was busy, but the staff were friendly and welcoming. We spent roughly €150 for the oysters and the rib eye, and I'd happily go back for an oyster-led meal.

Yelp
Walked into this restaurant without a reservation while in Dublin. So pleasantly surprised! The host was gracious and found a hightop table for us. Beautiful place with great ambience and vibe. Excellent food too! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Came in here last night with a friend for dinner. They are running on Christmas menu now, a three-course menu with some of the classic selections and some winter choices. I had the intention of ordering the seafood tower with my friend but seeing that on the menu they broke down the original tower into hot and cold options that require a hefty fee addition, we ordered separate dishes instead. Starter: I had the oyster. All very fresh, briney, with unique delicate tastes for each selection. Went very well with the sauces. My friend said the pepper soup was good as well. Entree: I had the halibut. Halibut temperature was done perfectly, buttery and tender in the middle, whlie the skin was crispy. I feel the seasoning could be more balanced though, as the skin took most of the savory seasoning and the halibut as well as the sauce could use a bit more of those. Still, a very good dish. My friend's monkfish skewer was a eye-catching dish with very bouncy monkfish chunks. Dessert: a pleasant surprise. The passion fruit mousse was smooth, creamy, and it packed refreshing tropical sweet and sour flavor and was a perfect match for the ice cream. The white chocolate ball and the dark chocolate lace created a feast for chocolate lovers. My friend's Guinness pudding was rich in that classic Guinness stout flavor, albeit it would become a bit too sweet with the white chocolate lace. Overall: 4-4.5 stars. Some improvements desired, but overall a very pleasant dinner. Though I really wish they could reconsider their menu option and bring back the seafood tower in a more affordable price.

Yelp
Incredible food and atmosphere. This is the ONLY late night seafood restaurant in Dublin. We were late for our reservation to and they were kind enough to still seat and serve us. Amazing place and amazing food thank you so much!!

D. S.

Yelp
Incredible seafood in a great location. Had the Christmas dinner fixed menu. Good service as well.

Yelp
Food was good, but mostly unremarkable. The portion of tuna tataki (appetizer) was extremely small. Service was friendly, but a bit inattentive. It took them 15 minutes to "get the table ready" but when we were seated there seemed to be open tables in our section. Pleasant atmosphere,

Yelp
The atmosphere is so beautiful and calming. I could just sit and talk for hours. The service was fantastic. Everyone is friendly and happy. Food was great quality. Amazing displays of food. Love the seafood options. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Alright, this joint is on many *Best Lists* in Dublin and a pretty hard reservation.. definitely try and book well in advance. Walking in, it's a beautiful space with a large circular bar, seafood display, kitchen area, etc. Great wine list & started with some white wine. They're doing a Christmas Menu for a set price.. you pick a starter main entree & dessert for like 75 Euros otherwise the menu is rather large! Starters ranged from Scallops to Dingle Crab and I went with the Tiger Prawn cocktail with American style sauce (tomato, lemon, horsey & vodka). The sauce was amazing and this was accompanied by house made Sourdough & Irish Soda bread with butter! Nice selection of like 10 mains; all kinds of fish as well as steaks along with some upgrades. I went with the Whole Dover Sole with lemon & butter; de-boned tableside for 10 Euros. This fish was huge & watching the guy de-bone this baby was something else.. after about 10 minutes he finished and said watch for small bones. It was still piping hot and after all that I only found ONE small bone! This is a huge piece of fish but I ate the whole damned thing & may have been the best piece of fish I've ever had. For dessert the Christmas Yule Log: Chocolate Mousse, caramel, ice cream.. also a large portion & very good! Service is attentive and it's a mix of folks; not just the same waiter. Must try joint/ talk later

Yelp
We had a group of five and a late reservation, but the restaurant was able to get us in a little before 10 PM. The food was very good. Someone at our table had the sole, we all tried it and were very impressed. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Good food, friendly service. Steak was perfectly done. Cozy ambiance. We went with kids and they enjoyed the food as well considering they are picky eaters

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed eating here. The food was good, but it was definitely on the expensive side.

Yelp
This was the only place in Ireland I felt pretentiousness. We went to SOLE at the recommendation of our hotel concierge. Upon arrival, they asked if we had a reservation, I said we did not. The 2nd host said he couldn't accommodate us until 10pm (it was 8:30). So, we went down the street to another spot. It wasn't the vibe we wanted so I got online to see if perhaps SOLE had a reservation on Open Table. Behold! We got one for 8:45. We walked right back to SOLE at 840. He said, oh, sorry, in the time you were booking that, we accepted a walk in so....you're out of luck. I felt like Julia Robert's in Pretty Woman- you don't have my size here? LOL Anyhow, the main body overheard and was able to get us in by 9ish. Not the best experience and tainted our "taste" of the rest of the night. That said, we did enjoy the rest of the night The atmosphere was great. Warm and modern with a dash of Irish charm. The furniture was appropriate size and comfortable (pet peeve of mine when barstools are too low, chairs too bulky, etc) The food was pretty good. The crab claws were served in a creamy butter sauce that I would have eaten with a spoon My friend's fish and chips was top notch! I was a little disappointed in my shrimp caesar because I asked for it to be blackened shrimp and the server said they couldn't do that because the shrimp are "in the shell". When I got the salad, the shrimp were not in the shell, so, I was confused. They lacked much taste and were a tad fishy so I just ate the salad.

Johnny P.

Yelp
The food was excellent, but expensive. The service was terrible. We were a table of six, so the tip was already included and the waiter was awful. We had to constantly ask him for things and even to clear the table so we could order dessert. Then when the bill came I asked the manager who had the credit card machine if the tip was included and she said no. I looked over the bill and it had been included, so she tried to get a double tip. I would not go here again! Just a bad experience!

Yelp
The fruit of the Sea was not fresh at all !!! Frozen!!!! It really should be taken off the menu !!!

Yelp
Great service! Beautiful place. Fish pie was yummy. Lobster was a ok. Great drinks. Ambiance was great.

Yelp
We were able to get a last minute reservation when we were visiting and I am glad we did! We started with some nice old fashioned cocktails. We next moved on to some oysters. The oysters were very fresh and delicious! I tried the monkfish skewers special and it was amazing! Probably one of the best I ever had! My lady had some scallops and she was quite pleased as well. Overall great food and excellent service!

Barry M.

Yelp
Very expensive. However staff was great and food was pretty good. I don't recommend the steak
google avatar

Dave K.

Yelp
Probably the best restaurant in the area, knocking it down to 4 stars because our arrival was bungled and we ended up sitting at a high-top which, when you don't ask for one and reserve a month+ in advance, is not OK. Food-wise, very good. Carlingford osyters, amazing. Tiger prawns, amazing. Tuna tartare uninspiring. Grilled lobster in garlic butter, very good. Sole meuniere, uninspiring. Salmon in Thai sauce, very good. The cheese platter was surprisingly good for a fish place. Overall, yes, I'd come here again.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for our final dinner of our Ireland trip and we were not disappointed. This place is very unsuspecting from the outside. When you walk in the place is large and spacious with a gorgeous ceiling art piece and beautiful seafood case and fresh lobster tanks. Our table was in the front of the restaurant and we were immediately debriefed on the menu and the flow of the restaurant, which we appreciated. We ordered the Irish brown crab claws, which were tender and wonderful. The shrimp cocktail was different than what we would have in America; but still amazing. The shrimp was tender and almost melted in your mouth. Finally- the scallops were rich and decadent and perfectly cooked. It was a heavy hearty meal that I would recommend splitting. We wanted to order dessert but unfortunately were too full! Overall we were very happy and would definitely come back when we are in Dublin next.

Yelp
We found this place based on reviews and couldn't have found a more spectacular place. Right from entry everyone was friendly. The seafood chowder is a must. Best I have ever had. The crab claws, shrimp and Cesar salad were great. The ribeye was amazing. The pudding was excellent for dessert. Wine selection was also great. Server was surpreme.

Yelp
Highly recommended! Delicious food and outstanding service! Great outdoor seating and easy parking! We sampled a few different things and everything was so good! Wings, salmon bites, mac and cheese bake, greens, cornbread - and don't forget about dessert!
google avatar

Yelp
In short, this place was very good, and also very close to our hotel. The Westbury. Service was certainly attentive. I had the Seabass with the Thai curry sauce, which was slightly more spicy than I expected. Also, the Seabass was a little on the thin side, although it was cooked perfectly. my wife had the special of the day which was a Fish Wellington. We've had beef Wellington before, but never with fish as the protein. It was unusual, and it was very good. The ambience was pleasant. The restaurant is actually quite large, extending far back.
google avatar

Lloyd M.

Yelp
Very good fresh seafood. Went for lunch, two out of three courses were excellent. I'll start with the only disappointment, a couple of oysters. They had grit in them, which really shouldn't happen at a good restaurant and makes it hard to enjoy. That said, everything else was excellent. I had grab claws as a starter, nice flavor, meaty claws. For a main, I had the sole deboned at the table. Great fish and the server did a perfect job of deboning, not a single bone was left. Large fish prepared perfectly. The butter sauce was a little underwhelming, though, just melted butter with little flavor (not that there is anything wrong with melted butter). Very large portion of sprouting broccoli, which I appreciated. Quite a good meal.
google avatar

Jack C.

Yelp
Quick service, GREAT FOOD. They have an amazing deal for early dinner for a large 10 oz ribeye and scallops for under £40. Great atmosphere with lively ambiance. Went here for dinner to celebrate my engagement and would recommend to anyone!

Jay D.

Yelp
A perfect dining experience on a Tuesday night. From the moment we walked in - perfect service, perfect table and an outstanding server, who knew and understood the menu. The Dover sole filleted at the table was the best I've ever had. Even the music - a carefully curated playlist that highlighted a stunning evening.

Yelp
High end seafood restaurant- perfect for a date night or entertaining clients. Food was delicious and seafood was fresh. Wait staff was great and very attentive. The fish pie was tasty and very filling. Must get the scallops, they were fantastic. If meat is more your style, the steak melted in your mouth and the chicken was so tender.

T. L.

Yelp
Great Turbot. Excellent presentation. Waitress was a bit abrupt but other servers were very pleasant. Cosmopolitan and Here comes the Rum cocktails were very tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent food and wine list. We had the seafood tower for 4, scallops, sea bass, risotto and the fresh catch, plaice. It was all GORGEOUS

Julianna M.

Yelp
This was our last meal in Dublin before heading back west. We walked in on a Tuesday evening without a reservation and luckily they were able to squeeze us in. By the time we finished dinner the place was packed so highly recommend you do make a reservation if you can. We ordered the beef carpaccio, seafood tower for two and vanilla panna cotta. The carpaccio was insanely fresh and was seasoned perfectly. I loved the addition of the cheese. The seafood tower is a good choice if you want to try a little of everything. It was loaded with muscles, oysters, shrimp, crab and salmon. I enjoyed the crab knuckles the best from the tower. We had a few muscles that didn't open but the staff was professional and rectified this right away. The oysters and salmon were delicious. For dessert the panna cotta. This usually isn't my go to, but was jumping out at me. When mixed with berry compote and the cookie it was such a wonderful bite.

Yelp
This is an updated review for our visit dated 05/09/23. The restaurant cancelled our reservation so we could not review on OpenTable for this visit. Our reservation was for 8:00pm on a Wednesday night. We sat at the bar, which is where we always reserve if available. As we've expressed in earlier reviews, we always felt rushed in ordering and we hoped it would be a better experience. Our server did not speak very good English and right from the start there was a bit of a language issue. I ordered a wine and she kept asking me if it was a cocktail. I finally had to point it out on the wine menu for her to understand. She also wanted our food order immediately when we were seated and I said I wanted to examine the menu more before we ordered. 45 minutes went by and we did not have anyone come back to us for a food or drink order. I tried to signal the bartender, but he was not interested in helping us. At 9:00 I finally went to the host stand to pay for our drinks and express our dissatisfaction. This is unacceptable service and we were treated so poorly. We try to visit this restaurant once a month and usually spend more than €200. Sole - you've lost another customer.
google avatar

Kathleen D.

Yelp
The food was good. nothing outstanding. the brown bread and the dover sole were worth dining here.

Diane V.

Yelp
It's a really beautiful space with great food and nice service. We had the mussels, and it was a giant bowl of the tenderest, sweetest mussels we'd ever had in a saucy broth my husband and son wanted to drink! The sole meunière was delicious, and they had a nice selection of wines by the glass which we appreciate since we all want different things and can't really do justice to a bottle of any one wine. We loved it!

Yelp
It has the right look and feel, but it just comes up short of what they're trying to be. We made early reservations for my wife's birthday on 2/13/23. We were the second group to be seated right after they opened and they didn't give us a nice table for 2, they put us at the bar. We were both a little bummed about this...at first. Ended up being a pretty rad spot to sit. We got to watch the bartenders do there thing and ask what they were making. My wife ended up getting one of the fancy drinks after seeing it made and she said it was pretty good. I quickly became the whiskey guy and made friends with the waiter Mario. Mario made some suggestions and he was very helpful. Now...the food. My wife got the Cosquilles St. Jaques, which is super fancy for scallops. She said it was okay but not worth what it cost. I'm a steak guy so I got the dry aged ribeye. I'm a big steak guy and this was very disappointing. While it wasn't the worst steak I've ever had, it was on par with a Texas Roadhouse steak...Texas Roadhouse may even be a little better. I've never had beef overseas, so maybe this is just the norm for outside of the US. I gave this a 3 because I couldn't give it a 3.5. It feels very fancy but the food just wasn't. I don't mind spending a lot on a meal, but please be good and don't make me feel like I paid too much for what I got. If you are going for a great, upscale ambience, this is that kind of place. We actually had more fun hitting a few pubs around the restaurant after our meal.

Marshall D.

Yelp
Everything was over the top good. It was pricey, & I didn't expect a €6 bottle of water when I said "still" to the choice of still or sparkling water, but the food was really delicious.

Tyler M.

Yelp
Amazing top to bottom. Took my parents and daughter my dad has a scooter to get around the staff was so accommodating. The food was all amazing had strongly recommend the seafood tower. Well worth the stop.
google avatar

Rich M.

Yelp
Ambiance was very nice and food was delicious. Best sole we have had in a long, long time. Also loved the Caesar salad.

Jeffery H.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service! The caviar sampling was a great add to our meal. Definitely a must visit restaurant in Dublin.

Tara T.

Yelp
Worst restaurant experience in Europe Mussels were over cooked. 2 scallops for 14 euros. The "manager" Thialo tried to over charge me by switching me to the prix fix menu when I had explicitly ordered from the a la carte menu. When I brought this to their attention, they then charged me an extra 5.50 euros for the substitution of green beans for French fries. Food definitely not worth the subterfuge in their billing practices.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Really fresh food. Service was lacking. We had a young lad that wasn't attentive. Shoe untied as was dragging his feet the entire time. Very nice scene inside. Very fancy looking spot. Seafood spot in and fresh.
google avatar

Jason P.

Yelp
Great great great seafood! Service was the only issue. Bartenders were slow to respond & they weren't great at checking up on me. I was dining for one and I was unimpressed by their interest to serve; however their food makes eating here worth it! I did the 3 courses for 55€ and couldn't be disappointed. I had the mussels, sea bass, and the chocolate brownie for dessert. The mussels are almost too much and could be a meal on its own.

Amy B.

Yelp
Updated my review to include the one with my hand for size comparison . Superb everything I had the prawns and sea bass.

Yelp
We stopped by while visiting, this restaurant is great. Our server was Andrea, her recommendations were on point! she was so kind, she made our experience so much better! her wine recommendations were five stars!! we will be coming back!

Yelp
On our last night in Ireland, we chose to top it off with an exquisite seafood dinner. This place is incredible. AMAZING menu with selection of most seafood items you can imagine. Beautiful ambiance with 5 star service. It is in the heart of Dublin and a nice area to stroll around in after dinner. Loved every minute of it!

Yelp
The epitome of great service and food! Fair warning, this place is not cheap, but it all feels worth it. Once of the best things about Sole was that everyone was smiling and welcoming when we walked in. The place was not crowded, it had a very nice flow to it. Our waiter, Ante knew the menu like the back of his hand, and he was an extremely nice person. Very enjoyable restaurant to just be in. We had delicious brown bread at the beginning of the our meal, which we later ate with the mussels, which were phenomenal in a nice creamy sauce. We ordered a large seafood sharing platter, and I strongly recommend it, because everything was extremely fresh and uniquely flavourful it's it own way! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed that sharing platter. As well, every plate that came to our table was thoughtful put together in taste and presentation! I have nothing but compliments for Sole, and I would happily come here again in a heart beat!

Yelp
Great food, great service! Nice dinner and cocktails. The service was amazing! We walked in on Friday about 5:30pm without a reservation, luckily the manager kindly informed us they had an open table for a couple of hours. The restaurant is beautifully decorated that gives it a chic, clean, and warm atmosphere. We had just gone to the Guinness tour and were not dressed nicely for dinner, (husband was wearing sweats and a hoodie ) but the staff still made sure to treat us the same as everyone else who was dressed appropriately. The manhattan and the grasshopper martinis were great! The whiskey sour drink the waiter recommended was good also. The Moscow mule was not my favorite but decent. Husband and friend had the Oysters, mussels, and the octopus for appetizers and said they were all delicious! Especially the oysters. For dinner his friend had the sirloin steak and my husband had the fillet steak, both with tiger prawns and mash. They really enjoyed all of it! I'm a vegetarian, so I had the celeriac soup and fig & goat cheese salad, they were both delicious ! The manager noticed I wasn't eating my meal right away and checked on me to make sure everything was okay. Then made sure the server came over to talk to me to make sure my meal was satisfactory. It really was delicious, I just didn't have much of an appetite from being so exhausted. I don't remember our waiter's name but he was great. The manager was also great and observant! Definitely would have returned the next day for dinner, unfortunately our other friends had other plans.

Yelp
We were very excited about our opportunity to have dinner at Sole. Unfortunately all was a disappointment. From uninterested service, to the most bland dinner I've ever had, the monk fish. Service was subpar as was the food.

Yelp
This was one of our favorite meals in Dublin. The sole meunière is expensive, but excellent. My guests ordered the fixed menu and were pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. The atmosphere was lovely with jazz music.

Yelp
We had dinner at Sole on our last night in Dublin and it was fantastic. The food, the service and the ambiance. We had very well made negronis and Aperol spritzes as we decided on the beef carpaccio, seafood chowder for appetizers and we both chose to have the 10 oz sirloin. The beef carpaccio was declared truly 'the BEST ever', by my dining partner - and it was. My seafood chowder was delicious, and the aged sirloin steaks were also amazingly delicious. The bone marrow and pepper sauces were sublime and the accompanying potato mash with mushrooms and root veg was phenomenal. The non-potato mash eater happily finished his entire substantial portion along with his perfectly cooked steak. We finished with coffee and the vanilla panna cotta, which was again, perfection. Delicious. We had great service from our server Mlad and all of the Sole staff. The neighboring table ordered the sole and we watched it being expertly deboned and plated. Definitely a must-try when you're in Dublin.

Excellent atmosphere. The tower was fabulous although quite pricey!! The oysters were wonderfully fresh and tasty. Wine selection is nice as well. Nice place for a date night.
