Solid Rock Lodge

We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days at this beautiful place and were very warmly welcomed by Simon and Mina. The location is surrounded by greenery and wonderfully peaceful. The room was spacious and clean, and it was lovely to sit outside on the veranda chairs and relax. Mina has a beautiful garden with fresh vegetables and cooked delicious meals for us using fresh ingredients. Simon suggested a lovely walk nearby, which we did, and it took us past many beautiful highlights of Pharping. All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay here and would love to return, possibly for a longer stay. Thank you so much, Mina, Simon, and the girls!

Highly recommended! I really enjoyed the peace and quiet and nature. The owners, Mina and Simon, are very friendly and helpful. The kitchen uses fresh vegetables, herbs, and spices from the garden, and the food tastes great. The area is great for hiking, there are several cultural attractions, and there are also rock climbing spots nearby. A great option for anyone who wants to treat themselves to a few days off near Kathmandu.

Simon and Mina are friendly and helpful. They have an organic garden full of vegetables. Mina is an excellent cook, easy to eat vegan and vegetarian here. Fresh teas also. Take a break from noisy Kathmandu, fresh clean air and forests.

What a wonderful few days I spend at Solid Rock Lodge. Tucked away up the top end of a forested valley, I read, dozed, strolled and recharged my batteries, away from the noise of roads and busy towns. But not far to walk to Pharping or jump in a cab. I felt such peace here, and a calm welcome from Mina and Simon. Rustic charm, lovely home made food, highly recommended.

Set in picturesque hills this place is fantastic. Simon,, mina and milan their son are such a special family that make you feel apart of the family. Loved watching mina go to garden to collect fresh herbs and spices to make the masala omelet in the morning. Food in general was great. Beautiful walks in the surrounding hills. Thank you will be back with my son to do champadevi.

We had an amazing time at Solid Rock. Mina and Simon took such good care of us, they went above and beyond. Simon took us on trail along the hills nearby and we had such great conversations with the both of them. 100% recommended if you are planning to stay in Parphing. A hidden gem tucked in the heart of the forest — peaceful, easy to access, and truly special. The setting makes you feel like you're sleeping in nature, surrounded by calm and greenery.
