Hip but rather snug coffee shop hiding out in the Bywater. My latte was quite tasty, and the baked goods on display were quite tempting, though I had to pass this time. There's not a whole lot of available seating, but it's not a bad place to grab some caffiene if you're on this side of the neighborhood.

This is one of my favorite places in New Orleans. They serve excellent coffee, delicious food, and have a great staff. Check out their IG for pop-ups as well!

Literally one of the best coffee shops in the city in terms of Coffee quality, preparation and knowledge. It's smallish but the atmosphere is cozy and well crafted. The best part is that it's accessable but just far enough of the beaten path to not be loud and busy. It's everything a serious coffee person could want.

They are not overly friendly to you here unless you look like you belong. I don't have facial tattoos or dreds and I wear colors. But the coffee is good. I'd love to see them greeting straight people with the warmth they reserve for people in their genre.
And I'd love to see a few more snack items.
I wish them luck and longevity.

Best coffee in New Orleans.
Visiting from Baltimore where I'm spoiled by Sophomore and Vent. So happy to have some of the best espresso and overnight oats I've ever had.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Mellow atmosphere. The jar exchange is a great way to cut waste and save a little money.

Sólo is one of a handful of truly exceptional coffee shops in the city. You can count on not only consistently high-quality coffee products but consistently well-made drinks. The atmosphere is low-key and the space is intimate. No chain coffee vibes here and no room full of people staring at their computers. This is the place to come if you're looking to have a conversation with a friend(s), play a game of chess, or just unplug for a while. What to try? I typically shy away from sweetened coffee drinks, but their mocha latte (hot or iced) is excellent. The chocolate syrup (scooped from a mason jar) is dark and rich without being overly-sweet.

Best third wave coffee & espresso in New Orleans, hands down. I tried Mammoth & Cherry, both great, but Solo was my favorite. None of them roast their own, but they did the best pull, IMO.

This coffee shop seems to be based around coffee and community while everything else takes a backseat. Some people won't like that they don't offer internet but they only have limited seating. I believe they'd rather their customers interact than stare into a screen for hours just taking up space. I was just passing through but I felt like part of the community.
