Solo Pasta and Pizza

The pizza crust is thick and fluffy, just like fresh bread! The pasta is also excellent—both the sauce and the noodles are perfectly cooked. Don’t miss the pan-fried potatoes; they are a great side dish.

This is a lovely Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was great and the staff welcoming and attentive. The food was prepared quickly, came to the table piping hot and was delicious. The desert menu was also more extensive than most restaurants offer these days which is a plus if you want to finish your meal with a nice dessert. This restaurant is well with a visit.

I love their pizza - it’s thicker but the side was still crispy, lots of fillings and you can add 3 aud to have half-half flavor. The spaghetti was a bit mediocre, not as impressive as pizza. The place was quite crowded better reserve a seat in advance and the waitress clean up the plate as soon as you finish the meal

We’d been waiting to come here for ages, and it didn’t disappoint! From walking in, staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious; we got the bruschetta, bbq chicken pizza and ravioli chicken one. A crisp martini and frosty coronas. Very happy Locals :)

The food was delicious, especially the risotto it was exactly what I was hoping for, seasoned to perfection. The stuffed pizza took a little longer to arrive likely due to the Saturday crowd. The restaurant has dim lighting and a cosy atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall it was a fantastic dining experience 😘

My partner, 15 month old baby and myself ate dinner here last night. We shared the Robustelli Pizza and the Il Puglio pasta and we were so impressed with how tasty and delicious the food was. The staff were so great with everything, they were very attentive, the food and drinks came out very quickly and we were so delighted at how they made us feel very welcome, they were very friendly with our baby making her feel special and happy to be there. It was a lovely atmosphere and a great place to eat! We would not hesitate to eat her again.

We're in Hobart for 7 nights and dined in 6 awesome places for dinner. On the 7th night we return to our favourite of the lot and Solo did not disappoint. Tonight's meal vindicated our decision to come back. Staff are great and its got a great happy vibe going on 💯

Food and service were brilliant. I came alone and they promptly sat me at the bar with water being brought immediately. Staff took my order quickly. The gentleman behind the bar was great, and even gave me a drink on the house! Great all round and food was excellent.

My wife & I had an awesome meal here. I had the Sardo pizza and it was the best. My wife had the Marina pasta and raved. We would both totally recommend Solo.

Being fairly new to trying a lot of Italian except the staples, I was going to go with the usual carbonara, but chose something different this time. I chose the diavolo , sweet chili, sweet soy sauce, mushrooms, chicken and cream. I have to say, it was absolutely delicious!!! Around the table we had chicken cacciatore, chicken carbonara, spaghetti bolognese, diavolo ravioli, BBQ pizza and garlic bread. Everyone was extremely happy with the meal, it was all delicious. Great prices, comfortable seating, good atmosphere and our waitress was fabulous! If you're looking for a good Italian meal, be sure to check out the great people at Solo!

Highly enjoyable time whenever we visit. Owner and staff ALWAYS bend over backwards to give us the best dining experience possible. Highly recommend everyone order the Vampire Special for a garlic pizza as an entree

Best Italian I have had in a long time. Try the Pork Ribs. The bone slips out CLEAN! Pizzas were magnificent. Pasta was perfect! 10/10!

Wow. Great dinner. We went for the pasta, calamari, and salad. The calamari appetizer may have been the most tender calamari I've eaten. Served with a light crust of bread crumbs mixed with chili and a light fruit sauce. My husband had the lasagna, which he said was complex and interesting. I had the pasta con funghi, multiple types of mushrooms with a rich pesto sauce. I thought I wasn't hungry, but ate every bit. We ended with the mushroom & rocket salad - fresh, tender greens.

While on holiday in Hobart with my daughter we booked a table at solo pasta & pizza and was absolutely blown away by the service we received as soon as we walked in. The dining room was packed and as such were not able to be seated immediately. The Manager/owner arranged seats for us at the bar provided us with menus and drinks while he made sure our table was ready as soon as possible. I had the Pork Ribs that were absolutely delicious and my daughter had the gnocchi which she said was the best she had ever eaten. When it was time to pay the bill we had not been charged for the drinks as the manager said due to the delay with our table the drinks were on the house.An excellent dining experience my only regret is we don't live it Hobart so we cant make a reservation every week.. Really enjoyed the food. Entre servings were perfectly sized for us not very heavy eaters.

Had cravings for pasta and ended up here after looking up some reviews. The place was busy so we sat at the counter rather than wait for a table when the owner / manager (?) came up to us with a proposition - he'll select a pasta dish for the both of us and if we didn't like them they'll be on the house. We were game so we said "sure" but in the back of my mind I'm thinking either they've got some slow selling dishes to move or perhaps somebody prepared the wrong order and there's two warm dishes of pasta already ready for us. When the dishes came out, after a reasonable preparation time, I ended with was a delightful spaghetti with marinara / napoletana sauce and shrimp / prawns while the wife ended up with fettuccine with a creamy napoletana sauce, salami, peppers and some chicken. Both dishes were quite good so it goes without saying we did end up paying for them. :)
