Wonderful quaint spot nestled on a busy intersection. Had a craving for pollo and found this place on maps. Wonderful service, great spot for people watching, food was excellente!! Plenty of room for dining in, they deliver as well. Tip: Bring cash, I was unaware this is a cash only business, luckily there is a bank atm a block away.

Solo Pollo was an excellent example of generous portions at a great price! The roast chicken with rice was exceptional! I enjoyed the entire experience! They don't have a printed menu, so I think that means they charge foreigners extra. But my price was still worth the meal.

The food here was below average (Salty, chewy chicken and dry fries), service was slow and subpar, and I was charged more for my food because I was a tourist; I paid almost $20 for that barely edible food! They actually put TAPE over the regular menu prices, so they will charge you whatever price they want (you can go down there today and see this for yourself if you'd like). AVOID at all costs!

It’s been eight months since my visit and I can’t stop thinking about the chicken. It was delicious. I paid $30 USD for a round trip cab to drive me to and from this restaurant. Worth every penny. First photo shows the roast chicken with fries and plantains. Second photo shows the friendly neighborhood dog who wanted to share my lunch.

Really good food! I love it.I ate Plato del Dia (white rice, beans, chicken and salad) it was good and good price!

NOTE: They had my first review deleted so this is a re-post. They clearly don't like honest, unbiased reviews of their establishment; well, too bad! Beware..The food here was below average (Salty, chewy chicken and dry fries), service was slow and subpar, and I was charged more for my food because I was an obvious tourist. They might have changed it now because I called it out earlier, but as a tourist, they give you a menu with all the prices taped up, and will shamelessly charge you DOUBLE what the locals pay! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place entirely, there is better food elsewhere in that area.

The food was delicious and the service was great. We enjoyed having lunch there while in Punta Cana. The restaurant is clean, a little outdated but the food, service, and price is amazing. Recommend it and will definitely be back for some more arroz con gandules.
