Somatheeram Ayurveda Village

I returned to Somatheeram 12 years after my second visit . I was very surprised to have found it has expanded so much and in such a tasteful, harmonious way! The treatments were amazing, the staff delightful . I loved every minute of my stay! And i promise to return soon 🙏

I think that a million dollar luxury resort operation as gorgeous and dedicated to the health and well being of wealthy western tourists engaged rejuvenating and amazing Ayurveda treatments should also give back to the community by cleaning the filthy beach having mange filled dogs cured. I feel uncomfortable being pampered while surrounded by sick animals and a dirty beach in a place that could be paradise!

This is a wonderful ayurvedic health resort in the midst of lush nature with comfortable rooms, amazing service, great facilities, private beach, swimming pools, yoga hall and yummy breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet especially adjusted for ayurvedic healing purposes. There is a wide selection of hot and cold meals and drinks to choose from. The rooms are spacious and clean, they contain a hot water kettle and complimentary selection of teas, a small refrigerator and air conditioner as well as mosquito nets above the beds. The rooms are situated in cozy cottages featuring a patio and a small garden equipped with a hammock and beach bed. The housekeeping cleans and restocks the rooms daily. The wifi works all over the property. If you want to shop, there are small shops offering souvenirs, jewelery and ayurvedic medicines and cosmetics within the resort. The staff is friendly and welcoming, they are very helpful and attentive to the guests needs. The doctors and medical staff in the ayurvedic clinic offer ayurvedic treatments tailored for each guest according to their needs. The whole resort is very pleasant with good vibes and perfect atmosphere for relaxing and healing. Highly recommended. We will definitely come again.

Very nice please, with a lovely extra Easter programm. The Ayurveda Staff is very well educated, a lot of different treatments. We definitely liked it. Pool area with a nice view. Short walk to the beach. In the Top Yoga Session for each level

You are worthy to experience well-being.

Scam property. We booked the property a month ago from Agoda and on arrival the hotel denied that booking was rejected by them however we didn’t receive any cancellation mail. Pathetic people and no ownership by the manager on ground. Basically fraud business at hotel where they show booking confirmed take your money and will give the room on a better deal despite your booking.

Resort is nice, food, therapy. The services were standard. The Ayurvedic diagnosis was very general and superficial, and the dietary recommendations were also very basic. There was no detailed information about what imbalances I have, just the basics about which dosha I am from the practitioner’s perspective. I was surprised that upon arrival, we signed an agreement committing us to purchase medications at the end of our stay. Of course, they did not prescribe the cheaper medications we used during our stay, but rather the more expensive ones. !!!!!! I caught bed bugs there.Everyone is underestimating this problem (To put it better, they denied this possibility) and I have been suffering for several days till now with intense itching and burning on my body. I am deeply disappointed by the approach and the denial of the severity of the issue. This is not what I expected from such a reputable resort. I believe this will be my last visit to your establishment.

This place is really good for Ayurvedic treatment and rejuvenation. Don't expect wi fi and all the modern amenities. Food is only vegetarian. But really good for people who like Ayurvedic treatment and living simple. The location is excellent.
