Somerset Bencoolen Singapore

Overall very happy with our stay here. Very spacious room, we stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. Some of it is a bit dated but all the space made up for that. Small kitchen with only basics eg 2 plates, 2 forks, no toaster etc. Would be hard to cook a meal but still good to have the kitchen there. The location was great as it’s across the road from the MRT which made getting around so easy. Close to various food options too. The rooftop pool was enjoyable although it’s a bit run down. The playground was enjoyed by our toddler. It was convenient having a laundry on site although it’s not cheap ($10 each for washing machine then dryer).

We had a great stay here. Its great to stay somewhere with a separate bedroom when you have kids with an early bedtime! The pool was great - water was warm and kept my son entertained for hours

Stayed here once before and had to come back for the extremely comfortable mattress! Literally checked out of another hotel I was staying at to come here — found out the brand of mattresses they use is Slumberland. Super comfy. The housekeeping staff is brilliant and attentive. Nur at the front desk was lovely and helpful :) and the pool on the top floor is simple and lovely. Perfect for lap swimming! Room is not the biggest but it’s designed very well with segmentation for privacy if one person is working or you have to take two separate calls. Only thing that’s not great is there isn’t an amazing workspace setup — there’s a small corner desk in the bedroom but if you’ll be spending long hours working then the office setup isn’t the best. Otherwise 10/10!!

This is our first time staying in this serviced apartment, and satisfied with especially the cleanliness and location with easy access to transportation. There is an additional living room with sufficient size, the bedroom is a bit small but the quality of sleep is quite good, the bathroom also supports my wife who was using a wheelchair at that time. There is one minus point, namely the noisy AC system. Otherwise, this place is highly recommended as an option to stay in Singapore.

We stayed in a two bedroom two bathrooms apartment.|Living was a little bit small for Australian but soon realised it was a good size for Singapore standards.|We visited Singapore for the first time with our 18year old daughters.|It was ideal space which included lounge and kitchen. It did have dining table which made room look smaller but we never ate in so not useful for us expect to dump our shopping lol.|Food Dynasty, which is a food hall which was convenient when we were tired and had good selection of food. |Train station was only a few minutes away.|Rooms were very clean and tidy, everything you need for trave accommodation. Staff / reception welcomed you whenever you entered the building which made you feel welcome. |Pool was perfect for humid days, did not realised how important the pool would be for this trip.|They have small GYM, not for me but I know other traveller's like it.|Would recommend accommodation for location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff.

It was a good choice to opt for an apartment rather than a hotel room. More space and almost like a hotel. A Reception to check in and out, a lovely rooftop pool and an excellent restaurant adjoining for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Having an MRT station nearly opposite makes it easy to get around Singapore.

What a find. I frequent Singapore for work and usually stay in a hotel. But this time I was with my husband and kids and preferred a Serviced Apartment. Somerset is the perfect accommodation for family! Rooms are spacious, kitchen is well equipped, and you have everything you need down to the dishwashingn liquid and sponge being provided! My kids loved their stay. The staff ate friendly and helpful too. We had an issue our first night as the AC in the room was really noisy - we requested for a room change the next day and they were prompt to transfer us to another room on the same floor. Will definitely stay here now for my work trips and future vacations! Very convenient!

This is a fantastic place to stay in Singapore. The MRT is right across the road and there are many cheap eateries within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We had a problem with our air conditioning part-way through our stay but it was handled very smoothly and rectified ASAP. Even when we checked out they ordered a large vehicle for us (a party of 8), without being asked, to help us get to the airport. The rooms are well maintained and clean and were great for a family of 4. I have stayed at 4 different locations during my visits to Singapore and this has been the best location. I will definitely be staying here again.
