Stayed in a one bed apartment that was spacious and clean. Location is great, MRT opposite and multiple restaurants and shops nearby. It’s the perfect stay for a few days and service was great. I needed something printing which reception sorted out promptly for me. I also accidentally left some shoes behind and reception emailed me after check out informing me of this. Unfortunately I was already at the airport so told them to bin the shoes but it was nice they contacted me. Whenever I visited the rooftop pool and gym I got it completely to myself. Laundry facilities are a little on the pricey side but it was convenient having them onsite. All in all a great stay and would definitely come back again.

Stayed in this hotel for 20 days for an assignment. The rooms are quite spacious. They have 1 BHK apartments with a small kitchenette and basic utensils and cutlery. Can’t cook much but food for basic bread toast, bowl meals. The service is good and housekeeping cleans the utensils everyday except Sunday. The roof top pool offers great view and also a small gym with basic machines and weights. There is a small kids play area as well. They have a laundromat washer and dryer but it costs around S$18 for one round. The best part of this hotel is the location, multiple bus stops, two MRT stations (Downtown Line Bencoolen and Circle Line Bras Basah) and 10 min walking distance from Singapore National Museum and Fort Canning Park. |The property is a little aged and that is visible in the room and all facilities. The breakfast is very limited and basic. You can choose to skip breakfast at hotel and eat outside at nearby bakeries.|Overall a decent play to stay if you are looking for longer stay in spacious rooms with basic kitchen facilities.

Very rude person at the reception who checked us in. Rooms are okay we booked premium room but were given deluxe room( downgraded without any cause ) Nobody to help at the gate with your luggage. Book a hotel if you want good service. skip these shady apartments.

Overall very happy with our stay here. Very spacious room, we stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. Some of it is a bit dated but all the space made up for that. Small kitchen with only basics eg 2 plates, 2 forks, no toaster etc. Would be hard to cook a meal but still good to have the kitchen there. The location was great as it’s across the road from the MRT which made getting around so easy. Close to various food options too. The rooftop pool was enjoyable although it’s a bit run down. The playground was enjoyed by our toddler. It was convenient having a laundry on site although it’s not cheap ($10 each for washing machine then dryer).

I had a wonderful experience at Somerset Bencoolen. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped, providing a comfortable home away from home. The location is unbeatable—right across from Bencoolen MRT Station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Singapore. Additionally, the staff were friendly and accommodating, enhancing the overall experience.

1/5 – Extremely Poor Experience at Somerset Bencoolen, Singapore We had booked 4 rooms at Somerset Bencoolen 2 months in advance for our family of 10. After an overnight international flight, we landed in Singapore at 6:00 AM and even requested early check‑in if possible. What followed was an absolute nightmare and completely unprofessional service from the hotel: • We were waiting from 7:00 AM onwards with our luggage and tired family members (including children and elderly). • Despite repeated follow‑ups, the hotel gave us only 2 rooms by 3:30 PM and asked to wait for sometime for the remaining 2 rooms. • They kept promising that the other 2 rooms would be ready “soon,” but even by 6:00 PM they had still not handed over the remaining rooms. This is simply pathetic management and harassment for guests who had confirmed bookings well in advance. We felt completely neglected and stranded in the lobby for hours with no proper explanation or apology. A hotel of this brand should know better. Sadly, Somerset Bencoolen did not live up to even basic hospitality standards. I do not recommend this property to anyone who values their time, comfort, and peace of mind. Avoid if you want a smooth and professional stay in Singapore.

The tub has little stains but it was clean, the location is great, I used the free cotton tips but they didn’t refill it, and normally other hotels do. Then I left my AirPods in my room when I check out and as soon as I notice (near my hotel) I went for them and I was locating them, I was sure it was in the room but they didn’t want to open the room or give me access, until the cleaning lady do the cleaning and if she find them. It was easier to use find my iPhone to find them, I do not know why decline if it’s better for the customer, my phone was sending me alerts and it appeared in one moment that they were out of the case. Hours later when I came back to my baggage they gave it to me (my AirPods).

I'm currently 10 days into a 21-day stay and already deeply regret choosing this place. Multiple issues are ruining what should have been a relaxing extended stay. Staff completely ignore "Do Not Disturb" signs, they knock on doors and call rooms during afternoon rest time. When I confronted the lobby about this disruptive behavior and demanded it stop, they gave me some ridiculous excuse about "security reasons." This is absolute nonsense and I've never encountered such policies elsewhere. When you're trying to rest after a long day, the last thing you want is constant interruptions! Room cleanliness is another major problem. Our room wasn't properly cleaned upon check-in, and daily housekeeping is rushed and sloppy obvious spots are consistently left dirty. For an extended stay property, this is completely unacceptable. The lobby constantly smells terrible from the connected restaurant, making it an unpleasant space to pass through or spend time in. Save your money and book elsewhere, there are much better options in Singapore.
