Somerset Grand Hanoi

I had an interesting experience here. My family was taken care of very thoroughly by all the staff. Location: It is close to the Old Quarter, and it's very convenient to Price: It is reasonable and affordable for a family with many members. Service: This is what impressed me the most. The housekeeping staff is very careful and thorough in cleaning. The front desk and luggage team are very friendly and professional, and they were extremely helpful to my family. After we left, we realized we had forgotten some items. We asked them to check, and they kindly assisted in sending them to our new address. Regardless of the value of the items, they always make sure to keep them safe for you. I am truly grateful. If I have the chance to visit Hanoi again, I will definitely choose Somerset Grand Hanoi.

Somerset Grand Hanoi is the best place to stay at Hanoi. |While we stay there, we are really impressed by the hotel team with the following members: Aimee, Rachel, Evie and Diep. |The location Somerset is very close to all the famous attraction at the center of Hanoi. At Hanoi, there are lot of hotels/apartments are not the same like the pictures, so that the great staff member allowed us to see the apartment to make sure we like it before we move in, because we are kind of skeptical after we had the experience somewhere else that the description/ads are totally different than what we actually get. And this one is exactly the same or beyond what we expect. |The nice staff allowed us to leave our luggage at the desk so that we can go out to enjoy the city. |During our stay, whenever we have questions/ concerns, they addressed such very quickly. |Mostly importantly and amazingly, we lost some stuff at the apartment, I called the hotel and they helped to arrange the mailing of my stuff to me at another city in Saigon. The communication thru whatsapp is with such an ease and pleasure.

This is our second stay at Somerset Grand Hanoi and we will definitely stay there again when we next visit Hanoi. The apartments are very large, clean, well equipped and comfortable. We have found the staff to be very helpful and friendly! The hotel is very well located on the edge of the old city with lots of food, shopping, and sight seeing options within easy walking distance. All at a price which, for what you get, we find very reasonable!

Since it's peak season, it can be quite crowded, and the prices are a bit higher than usual. I think it's a good idea to book early to get a better rate. If you arrive early in the morning, it's best to book the night before so they can hold the room for you, allowing you to check in at any time. Alternatively, you may be able to pay for half a day’s room rate depending on your arrival time. I think other hotel will have same policy like that. However, this depends on room availability, so I recommend planning ahead and checking directly with the hotel to avoid any stress after a long flight.||||Overall, the service quality here is very good. Although the facilities aren't brand new or modern, all the staff are very friendly. From the doorman to the housekeepers, everyone is careful and attentive. The reception staff always greeted us with a smile and were very supportive to my family. The security staff even helped me carry my luggage to the car.||||It was a very pleasant experience in Hanoi.

Hotel is getting dated. The rooms need a lot of cosmetic repairs (patching & paint). Most hotels in Vietnam offered bottled water, where this hotel had a 5gallon jug for you to refill your own water bottles, but I’m not sure I trust as a traveler.||The biggest perk to staying here was the washer/dryer combo unit in the rooms, however it would have been nice if there was instructions on how to use the unit in the room. I had to google for the manual. Also, don’t t expect drying to work amazingly well, as it is an unvented appliance so we still had to hang dry for a little bit. ||The breakfast option was mediocre. I ate and got full, but I was left wishing it had more options and higher quality of food. ||All and all, I would equate the hotel, in its current condition and level of service to a Motel 6 or a ln older Holiday Inn. It certain not a 5-star hotel.

Highly recommend this hotel for families. Spacious accomodation with all the necessities including washing machine (although no tumble dryer in our apartment). Rooms were well serviced and beds were very comfortable, with block out curtains. The reception staff were friendly and Johnny Nam was really accomodating and helpful when we were wanting to use the facilities including pool, sauna, stream room, table tennis and pool table. Excellent location near old quarter and local cafe restaurants nearby.

We had the 3 bedroom apartment which was spacious. The host, Ly, was amazing and helped us celebrate anniversary of our parents with complimentary balloon, flower decoration and delicious cake. The location is amazing with restaurants and some activities at walking distance. The staff was courteuos and helpful. They have very good buffet at reasonable prices. We ran into issues with hot water and phone but they sent to their staff to fix it asap. Overall, it was a good stay and we would reconsider this place for future stay.

It's such a pity that I didn't discover this hotel earlier. We had a wonderful stay here. Although our time was not very long, they made me feel welcomed like at home. Rachel, Jenny, Nina, and all the reception staff were very friendly, enthusiastic, and warm. They even remembered my birthday and prepared a cake for me.||||Additionally, the hotel is centrally located, close to the Old Quarter, making it very convenient for getting around. The building also has a supermarket, and especially a swimming pool, which my kids loved.||||If I have the chance to visit Vietnam again, I will definitely choose Somerset Grand Hanoi.
