From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel special throughout the evening. Despite it being a busy Valentine’s night, everything was handled smoothly and professionally. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. You can really tell that care and quality ingredients go into each plate. From the starters to dessert, everything exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic evening — elegant, cozy, and thoughtfully set up for Valentine’s Day. The lighting, décor, and overall vibe created a warm and intimate setting that made the night even more memorable. Highly recommend Something & Special in Newmarket for date nights, special occasions, or simply a beautiful dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Unfortunately, didn’t love the food at all. Nothing was seasoned ( salt ).. had to really add a generous amount of salt and add pepper to taste anything, the only thing i could actually taste was the calamari sauce. It was my first time here, I was disappointed unfortunately especially for the amount we paid. Was not worth the price . I wouldn’t come back here sadly. Had good expectations especially to be part of the roof top restaurants.

Lovely casual spot, Pear was very hospitable! The lamb pizza was flavourful, but the base was incredibly soggy and was hard to eat. The truffle fries were ok, but were oilier than fries from other locations, the truffle flavour could be more prominent. They arrived at the table quite shiny and became soggier as the night progressed.

Went there today (Saturday) for lunch. Ordered the fried chicken which cost $24 for about 5 of the smallest pieces of chicken you have ever seen, plus they weren’t even that great, pretty dry. Ordered the pulled lamb pizza, considering it was named “pulled lamb” I was hoping there would be more than a sprinkle of lamb on the pizza. After about 5 mins the pizza was soggier than wet cardboard, such a shame because the flavour was amazing when I did get a mouthful of the lamb. The man that served us was lovely. We felt awkward about complaining but once the pizza was soggy we finally did and at that stage only had a couple of pieces left. So the manager told us that the chef said because we didn’t complain straight away that we weren’t entitled to any refund and would only receive a 15% discount on a $100 bill for a pizza, small side of chicken pieces, a cocktail, a ginger beer and a kids meal. I did mention that if someone had come and actually asked us about our food then we would have had an opportunity to tell them our opinion but in the whole hour or so that we were there not once did anyone think to ask us. So in the end they did refund our pizza. We usually can’t afford to go out for lunch as a family and when we finally did we were left feeling pretty disappointed.

Great place to go and grab a drink with friends or after work but I’m not sold on the food. Head in for $15 cocktails on a Thursday, these are great! 🍸 For my burger lovers… I wouldn’t get the Social Burger again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pesto on a burger was nice for a change but by the end it was a bit much. Decent patty but salad could’ve been better as the lettuce wasn’t that leafy. Not bad price for a restaurant burger with fries but pretty average food.

Walked in without a booking and were warmly welcomed by the lovely host, who quickly found us a table for five. She explained the table was reserved in an hour and a half, which was more than enough time for us to enjoy our dinner. We ordered the Monday night 2-for-1 pasta special, along with the market fish and chicken parmigiana. Every dish was generous in portion and full of flavour. The fish was beautifully cooked, the chicken tender and seasoned perfectly, and the pastas hearty and delicious especially the classic bolognese. From start to finish, the service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. A great spot for after-work drinks with friends or an easy family dinner during the week.

Had such a lovely experience here today. Food was amazing and drinks were superb. Staffs were very attentive, Big shout out to Jen and team for looking after us. I can’t wait come back.

The service staff were very friendly and genuinely tried their best, but it was clear they were understaffed — one person was covering almost half of the dining area, which made service understandably slow. The pizza tasted good, and the pasta was fairly average. Unfortunately, the lamb rack was the main reason for the low rating. There was no doneness option when ordering, and nothing on the menu indicated how it would be cooked. After a very long wait, the dish arrived and I could only eat two out of three pieces — the inside was almost completely raw. I spoke with the (very polite) service staff, who then checked with the manager/owner. I was told that this is how the lamb is meant to be served. If that’s the case, this really should be clearly communicated when ordering or stated on the menu. I can accept this level of doneness for beef, but for lamb it was simply not edible for me.
