YUM Whole Taiyaki (filled, not the ones served with ice cream) are the BEST. You can choose from variety of flavors (red bean traditional and Nutella are my favorites) and I like the fact you can get 2 when dining solo. Best for a warm treat when you're in Little Tokyo. Location is just beyond Japanese Plaza Village across the street.

I’ve seen this spot filled with people every time I pass and after getting some, I completely see why people line up. I had an ube ice cream with red bean lining on a fish cone. A solid dessert after an all you can eat bbq spot, nice and light with a solid ube flavor. The red bean really compliments the cone and ice cream also. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. Parking can be tricky, so I suggest the train or uber, but with the trip.

SOMISOMI is a delightful dessert spot known for its unique Korean soft serve ice cream served in fish-shaped waffles. The ice cream is creamy and flavorful, with a variety of flavors to choose from. The fish-shaped waffles are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, making them the perfect complement to the ice cream. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, with a modern and trendy vibe. The service is quick and friendly, ensuring a pleasant experience. The location in Los Angeles makes it a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Overall, SOMISOMI is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth looking for a unique and delicious dessert experience.

David is great, very professional and i was impressed by him specifically! Hope he gets a raise, he deserves it for how well he kept the line moving when working the front register, while everyone looked tired, he kept things moving! Also Spoony the mascot (the big fluffy white one) is very cute, he should have more presence in the store and marketing material.

Google
Right in the heart of Little Tokyo in DTLA . Smells great in here because they make those little fish cookies fresh and they taste kind of like a waffle, you choose a filling to go inside. Get the Ahboong Upside Down which is a cup of ice cream with the fish cookie on top. You can get toppings like Graham crackers crumbs or oreo crumbs on top of your ice cream for free . The Strawberry is the best flavor in my opinion but the Cookies and Cream was tasty too .Be careful you don't eat too fast though because you will definitely get a brain freeze.

So happy I finally tried this treat I've been seeing everyone share! Truly delicious 🤤 The line was short, I was served almost immediately and the ice cream was incredible. What a fun treat, especially with the filling inside. Some seating and standing tables available, but probably best to step outside.

Fast service, even with a lot of customers. Portions are big enough to share between two, but that might just be the Canadian in me. Great flavours and lots of sugar!

BEST TAIYAKI FRANCHISE! Little Tokyo’s SOMISOMI is also the best location I’ve been to! The staff are wonderful and super quick. The store gets jam packed every time I go and they’re consistently trying to get through the orders with maximum effort. The store is on the louder side but it’s pretty relaxed over by the seating area. THE FOOD: SOMISOMI is obviously known for its star of the show, the Taiyaki. Taiyaki are fish-shaped, pancake-like treats that are filled with unique flavors. For instance, you can have them filled with Nutella, Red Bean Paste (Traditional Filling), Cheese (For a savory experience), Ube, and so much more. The Taiyaki is made fresh all the time! Patrons can also pair their sweet fishies with ice cream which also comes in a variety of flavors (Ube, mint, cookies & cream etc.) Flavors are constantly rotated but there’s staples like Ube that are always around. My Recommendation: My favorite pairing is the Taiyaki with Nutella filling paired with Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. It’s the perfect fusion and it’s not too sweet.

Annie C.

Yelp
My daughter's friend wanted to try this place. I'd never heard of it, but we ordered the Taiyaki, 5 for $8.95. It's a waffle type dessert in the shape of a fish and you get to pick your filling. I chose Nutella and YUM!! They make it fresh while you wait so it's nice and warm, a very delicious snack. It was a somewhat chilly day so I didn't feel like trying the soft serve. Something to look forward to when I come back on a warmer day. The restaurant itself was very clean with ample seating. I LOVED the taiyaki and would come back again to get that!

Yelp
Taiyaki: Crispy on the outside, with smooth matcha filling on the inside - a perfect balance of texture and flavor. Service: self serve kiosk service, but the server repeatedly announced our name five times while we were right in front of them, which was a bit much. Ambiance: Very crowded on a Saturday night, with a long line and only three mini tables available.

Kristine L.

Yelp
I've been to Somisomi a few times, was sad that the location at the Santa Anita mall closed. Even tho this location is closer I always dread the crowds, parking and unfortunately the lack of cleanliness outside. There's usually homeless ppl roaming around and just a stale smell that lingers outside which is pretty much the only place you can eat it since it won't travel well. The line was long even on a Wednesday night but moved pretty quickly and very easy to place order at the kiosk up front. This time I ordered the milk and ube and I was very tempted to try the cookie butter one. I got the taiyaki with black sesame filling and upside down since I find that the easiest way to eat it and any dripping from the soft serve will fall into the cup. I would say it always hits and I always enjoy it even though I have a hard time finishing the whole thing. Nothing wrong with the place itself or what they serve, I'm just not a fan of the location and lack of dining area inside. Still a good spot to hit up for dessert if you're having dinner in Little Tokyo.

Letitia H.

Yelp
The reason for the 3 stars was due to the cleanliness of the shop, trash was filled to the brim, the one outside was, and it seemed like there was enough workers. Its a bit overwhelming too, a lot of people, the shop was slammed. I really enjoyed their ice cream and its definitely IG worthy (LOL) because the little fishy things are cool. My hubby went with the regular Taiyaki and got different 3 different flavors but the red bean was his favorite.

Milko M.

Yelp
SomiSomi is the perfect spot for a sweet treat! Parking was super convenient -- we found a spot across the street in the parking garage with no trouble at all. We tried the cookie butter & matcha swirl, and it was absolutely delicious! Even though we're not big on sweets, this had just the right amount of sweetness, and the flavors blended perfectly. The service was quick and efficient, which made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back to try more flavors! Highly recommend!

Natalie B.

Yelp
Always love coming here. I literally devoured mine. I got cookies and cream ice cream, with the fish on top Nutella filled and Oreo sprinkles. So yummy. This spot never disappoints. They usually have it out within 2 mins. What gets better than quick service ice cream.

Ramonna B.

Yelp
Went here on a Sunday evening and it wasn't too busy! There is limited street parking. There is a parking lot close by, $15 flat fee. The line wasn't long and we got our order quickly. I tried the seasonal flavor cookie butter & matcha! It was good, but not my favorite that I've tasted. This is the only Somi Somi where they only let me put one topping. Other locations I can put macaron or strawberry. When my cousins and I asked, they didn't let us put on a macaron. That was really strange since that has never happened before in other locations.

Camille T.

Yelp
Quick service and great spot for dessert. The swirls are on a weekly rotation, so be aware of that. It's located outside of the central shopping area, so there's plenty of places to check out while you're in the area.

Garrett N.

Yelp
So yummy, so good. I had the matcha strawberry swirl in a cone lined with matcha custard. To die for. So good!!!

Kimmi C.

Yelp
Yes, it's worth the hype and long lines. Point deduction for it being messy in the work area but all the employees wore plastic gloves when handling the all food.

Christine R.

Yelp
I come here whenever we come to Little Tokyo for dessert. My partner & kids love the ube / milk swirl ice cream & I always treat myself to the red bean taiyaki. This is my favorite place to get taiyaki because it's always made fresh, the red bean paste is mildly sweet and evenly distributed. It is a very small shop located pretty central in Little Tokyo so very easy to walk to. The wait to order is never bad unlike the seating which is super limited. I believe there are only 4-5 tables inside with no additional seating outside. No bathroom.

Fazil A.

Yelp
This is honestly the wildest froyo experience I've ever ever had. I can't even tell you what the vibe was like because of what went down. Upon Walking in, Jessie is standing at the counter. He tells us that there are absolutely no samples. But what if we don't like it?! JESSE explains that as long as we told them before we'd eaten a certain amount they'd replace it. Idk, There must be some algorithm they use to determine it, but he didn't expound any more. Now, I'm wondering if it's because they make most of their money from people trying the corn on the cob or other weird flavors, instead of sampling them. But Jessie didn't offer any reasoning behind the policy. I decide on the cookies and cream. I ask our friend Jessie how many toppings we get, to which answers 2. I asked him if extra toppings cost more, and he basically ignored me while my friend was ordering. I ask him several more times and he ignored me each time. I can only imagine how sick and tired he gets of answering the same questions about samples and refunds all day every day, because he seemed a bit distraught after our few simple questions. Once we paid and stepped over to the barista and picked up our order, I asked for three toppings, which she gladly obliged as I think she had overheard the conversation. I asked for Oreo, graham dust and a macaroon. I honestly had no idea how literal graham "dust" was. It was almost the consistency of powdered sugar. As soon as our orders are ready, this other customer comes up and put her face very very close to our froyo while speaking to the barista, so close that one of her hairs may have accidentally dragged through it while she's bobbing her head around. I gently ask her to back the F up, which she does, thankfully. I've never been more insulted for asking for normal things this many instances in such a short period of time. I've never felt so demeaned while ordering and eating some of the best FroYo I've ever had. I guess it's pretty ironic and sums up the Los Angeles experience pretty well... Get treated like an absolute peasant by workers who make 1/4 what you do, while they gatekeep the best tasting _____ you've ever had until you submit to their gestures of dominance.

Molly S.

Yelp
SomiSomi is my favorite dessert place! I love the consistency of the soft serve and that it isn't too sweet. Sometimes I wish the waffles were more fresh as I know they prep them in advance at times but overall they are still delicious especially with the fillings! We will continue visiting somisomi whenever we are nearby.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
All their flavors are fantastic. I like that you can choose the flavor filling for the taiyaki to pair with the soft serve. I always get the regular ahboong (not upside down). It does get messy because the ice cream drips when it melts, but I like how the taiyaki tastes when the ice cream melts into it and mixes with the filling. I've also had their regular taiyaki as well and they taste amazing when they're hot out of the mold - so crispy but also soft and chewy. All the different filling flavors are fantastic as well.

Edna G.

Yelp
Based in Little Tokyo, this Somi Somi location is very busy especially on the weekend. Line goes by fast, though, you can order by cashier or by machine. Machine is faster paying via card or mobile pay than if you pay cash. Very good service even while busy. Very generous on filling and toppings. I love their soft serve as it's very thick and good flavor. Their Taiyaki waffle filled is good too. I would go back to this location if in the area. [47R,2024]

Yelp
Came here for the svt collab (honeydew flavor soft serve). It was so good! Even though there was a huge line/crowd inside, the workers were really fast in getting out orders. It was only loud inside because of the carats taking over. Other times I've been here have been quiet.

Karla R.

Yelp
Somisomi is ALWAYS a good idea, and this location in Little Tokyo hits the spot well :) Don't let its crowded space fool you. If anything, take it as a positive sign that it's beloved for good reason! There are two ways you can order -- via a screen or with a cashier. It doesn't take very long to get your order and you can even get updates on your phone. I usually stick with my go-to when it comes to Somisomi, but I always appreciate that they rotate with a new flavor every so often. When I came, it was a banana flavor. I always get: Matcha ice cream + taiyaki with nutella inside: 10/10. The matcha ice cream is perfectly creamy and this place gives a generous portion to you! The taiyakis are made fresh and the nutella in it just makes for a beautifully sweet combo. I enjoy topping my treat with Biscoff cookie crumbs and a strawberry macaron :)

Jennifer Z.

Yelp
Somi Somi is a personal favorite of mine for soft serve! I recommend any of the matcha swirl flavors (: There is typically a line here in little Tokyo but it does move fast. The workers are quick here and there's about 3 tables inside for seating. Limited parking around the area -- best option is to pay for a lot and walk over!

Elise B.

Yelp
I ordered the soft serve upside down and love getting the swirl flavors to try different combos. I topped this one with Oreo crumbs and coconut flakes. The line was long, but moved quickly. You order at one end of the counter, then it is prepared and given at the other end of the counter. Parking- street parking or parking garages nearby

Cherlene L.

Yelp
From the San Gabriel area, I'm a bit sad that the Santa Anita mall and TC location had shut down. I've only had SomiSomi in the LA area if I was in the area already, since it's not something I would go out of the way for. My friend and I decided to drop on by for the Somi x SomiSomi collab in Little Tokyo, which is now available at more locations as of 8/13. As expected on a hot summer Saturday, there was a line out the door. Line did pass by relatively fast though. The second I placed my order, it was done within 5 minutes. Keep in mind, there's only about 3-4 tables of sitting inside. Most of the people were chilling on the outdoor benches or just walking with their treat. Parking in Little Tokyo/LA area is what it is. Pricer garage parking or winning the lottery and finding street parking. Just be careful when going around looking for spots. I had accidentally stumbled upon Skid Row late night when I went to look for the Shohei Ohtani mural after SomiSomi. I would say that SomiSomi does a good job with consistency and quality across all their locations. My friend really enjoy both versions of the SomiSomi x Somi collab and would get again. I was happy with my Ube and custard bbong combo and would get again. Sadly, I'm a slow ice cream eater so my soft serve almost became soup. I might just buy their taiyaki next time to give it a try!

Sofia L.

Yelp
I seriously still haven't gotten over this insane $4.50 cup of ice cream. they give you a generous amount of ice cream + 3 free toppings + option to have two different flavors swirled together. my bf and I shared the milk tea + cookies & cream swirled ice cream, which was the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. place was pretty full, but had lots of seating. we waited about ten min in line, but after ordering, we got our ice cream really fast. workers were nice and quick!

Joseline S.

Yelp
A cute ice cream shop. I stopped by on a Friday evening and it wasn't too busy. I got my order within 10 minutes. I ordered the tayaki with Nutella filling and cookies and cream ice cream with sprinkles and Oreo toppings. They had music playing which made it an enjoyable experience to sit down and eat my ice cream there. The place was really clean and very pleasant. Parking: street parking might be tough to find because it's on a busy street but they have paid lots that you can park in.

Diana D.

Yelp
First time here !! And omg it was delicious!! There's a couple steps you follow to place your order but nothing too hard! I ordered the Uobe flavored ice cream with Nutella filling! And The fresh little fish cone was ughh SO GOOD and so cute at the same time! Service was nice just a little busy. It is a busy area already so they get a lot of people.

Braxton H.

Yelp
SomiSomi is a great place to relax and cool off on a hot summer's day! Came here with my two friends and we ordered the $6.50 ice cream that came with the fish! You can choose your toppings on the side, as well as choosing what type of cream you want inside your Taiyaki (fish) with choices such as custard and red bean! Though there is a long line, you can't complain with $4.50 ice cream and such friendly and attentive staff! Note: They accept cash and credit! Extremely fair prices and delicious ice crem! Somi-Somi rules!

Anna A.

Yelp
Somi Somi, or SosoMimi lol Got the Taiyaki and it's freshly made. There's many options for filling but custard is still the best. Line may be a bit long but moves fast.

Eric D.

Yelp
What a great little place! I've never had anything like this but the ice cream and the little waffle fish was delicious and prices were fantastic! You also got two toppings I chose fruity pebbles and graham crackers for mine both very tasty! I got the strawberry soft serve and the custard filling for the fish it was so yummy! Great little place really enjoyed it thoroughly! The staff were so friendly and the location in little Toyko was perfect! I'd absolutely come back again

Ryan L.

Yelp
Price = ~$7 / service = average / cleanliness = below average / interior = cafe style, casual / parking = metered, street but difficult to find a spot I have seen many SomiSomi but never been to one until today. I can see the appeal of their primary item of the upside down ahboong soft serve. However, I cannot determine whether it is worth it...which might mean that it is not. The ice cream is a soft serve so there is no point in comparing it to other ice cream shops that make a more curated style. I ordered the ube and strawberry swirl soft serve with an upside down ahboong with custard for about ~$7. I was surprisingly disappointed for a shop that has so many locations. The ahboong had a slight stench that ruined the experience. I am not certain if the stench was the batter being old instead of fresh or whatever it was. The ube and strawberry ice cream was okay but nothing special. I do not think I would visit again...maybe the experience was specific to this SomiSomi location.

Coco G.

Yelp
Every time we're in Little Tokyo, we tend to stop by here for a treat, even when it's brisk and chilly outside. Yesterday was no exception. A line out the door of eager customers. I chose soft serve strawberry with fruity pebbles and my daughter chose upside down ahbong with Nutella filling, over matcha soft serve, also with fruity pebbles. Creamier than froyo, very satisfying. The line moves pretty fast because there's one staff at the register, one making ahbong, another filling the ahbong and the last adding toppings. An efficient team of four making your dessert dreams come true!

Kami T.

Yelp
Cookies and Cream with Coffee Swirl - It was good and not too sweet. I would probably try a different flavor next time. The taiyaki was not warm, so that was a little disappointing. I recommend getting it upside down so you can take your time to enjoy it. Service - It was ok. There was only one other group in the store and there were two employees working. It didn't take long to get my dessert, which was good. Parking - Be prepared to pay as you're in the Little Tokyo area.

Isabel Y.

Yelp
So happy I finally tried this treat I've been seeing everyone share! Truly delicious The line was short, I was served almost immediately and the ice cream was incredible. What a fun treat, especially with the filling inside. Some seating and standing tables available, but probably best to step outside.

Susan R.

Yelp
Right in the heart of Little Tokyo in DTLA . Smells great in here because they make those little fish cookies fresh and they taste kind of like a waffle, you choose a filling to go inside. Get the Ahboong Upside Down which is a cup of ice cream with the fish cookie on top. You can get toppings like Graham crackers crumbs or oreo crumbs on top of your ice cream for free . The Strawberry is the best flavor in my opinion but the Cookies and Cream was tasty too .Be careful you don't eat too fast though because you will definitely get a brain freeze

Tonny V.

Yelp
Busy soft serve in Little Tokyo location. You get in line and til your turn, you order by yourself on the device. You have the option to choose soft serve flavors in the cup or on the fish shaped waffle. The soft serve is tasty, not too sweet and milky. I took my friend's mom and friend's brother here to try for the first time, they fell in love with it.

Autumn L.

Yelp
The ice cream was SOOO good. I got the matcha with biscoff crumbles on top and a fish waffle stuffed with red bean! It was beyond tasty, and I would highly recommend stopping here if you're out and about in little Tokyo. There was a very short line, and the weather was perfect to sit outside!

Danya G.

Yelp
This is my closest chicago on since Santa Anita mall and Temple City locations closed down. (Please bring Somi Somi back to the SGV please!! monterey park, alhambra, or san gabriel would make fantastic locations) I keep up with Somi Somi on instagram because the post their flavors every week for the different locations. I've been when it's super busy and I've been when it's slow. Please be kind to the staff. There's only so much of them. They recently installed a tablet ordering kiosk thing to order from when it's a busy rush. There's limited seating inside and can get tightly packed with everyone waiting for their order.

Hop N.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in little Tokyo I always find myself walking towards somi somi, something about their soft serve makes me so happy. I got the mixed matcha with custard filling taiyaki and it has to be with fruity pebble for topping, it makes the perfect combo trust me. They tend to have line out the door but I never have to wait more than 15 mins for my order to be ready. I do wish the space was bigger bc I haven't been able to sit at a table inside and I've been here 4+ times!

Natalie M.

Yelp
My teenaged niece told me I HAd to try this place. She got her usual order of 6 Nutella filled fish, my husband got the Cold Brew float (he Loved it!) and I got the Upside Down Ahboong. That waffle fish was delicious! The ice cream was good too, red bean and milk swirl, but it didn't taste too much like red bean. Luckily I got red bean in my filling of the fish, so got the extra flavor there. I think my niece has the right idea. Next time I'll get the waffle fish stuffed! There are several choices, and I think (I hope) you can get more than 1 flavor in the set of six. It does take a while in line, but it's because they are cooking the waffle fish right there. And it smells delicious! There are ice cream toppings that are free, just let them know what you want when your order comes up.

Erik G.

Yelp
Pick the Ice Cream, style and the filling. When you pick up your ice cream. You can pick which topping you want as you can see in the picture. They offer to give you a cookie, a strawberry or other toppings. Step 1: Select your ice cream style. You can choose from Ah Boong, Cup or Upside Down Step 2: Choose your ice cream flavor. You can choose from one of following ice creams: Cookies 'n Cream, Matcha, Milk, Ube, Coffee and Strawberry. Step 3: Choose your filing for the Taiyaki. You can choose the following fillings such as: Biscoff Crumble, Oreo Crumbs, Macaron, Captain Crunch, Cocoa Pebbles, Rainbow Sprinkles, Matcha Powder, Strawberry, Coconut Flakes, Graham Cracker Crumbs and Fruity Pebbles. I ordeed an Upside Down with Coffee Ice Cream and Fruity Pebbles and a Red Bean Taiyaki You can use the website: https://somisomi.com/softserve to simulate the nutrition facts depending on what ice cream and toppings you choose. Yelp
I loved this place, amazing soft serve and comes with option of free toppings. The taro was really good and flavorful, strawberry was not bad but could have been a little more flavorful. Will definitely be one of my go to soft serve spots.

Truth B.

Yelp
I have been coming to this location for years, unfortunately today was a terrible experience, they added a card only lane which is very cool, I was inline with my special needs son which if anyone is a parent they know it isn't particularly easy at times. The couple in front of me was told they could use the card only machine, the girl announced anyone with card could go next so I stood behind them right ? The rest of the line that was paying cash contained to the next lane, a male associate JAY continued to stare at me while he was making the ice cream cups I felt uncomfortable I thought it was because of my son... which made me even more self conscious it was my turn at the card machine, he came rushing ice cream in hand and told me go to the line! I said I was in the line, in front of everyone and my son he said no those people are waiting I mentioned I was infront of all of them, it was my turn he said no! And he told an Asian couple that was in the back of the lane they could use it, I felt horrible I was publicly humiliated, being a special needs mom with my son not understanding what just happened and why I just walked out with no Ice cream I wanted to cry, I felt discriminated racially I felt targeted. I just walked out, no argument. I know this establishment will not be missing by 20$ a week but I will definitely not recommend this location to any of my clients ever again, everyday someone asked what do you recommend where to eat where to go, and my first answer was always ! This location, but even though my 20$ might not be missed I know definitely my story of what happened here will definitely be heard and acknowledged. Just go to Miller Crepe, on to your right side, it is delicious:)

Courtney F.

Yelp
despite there almost always being a line, they move pretty fast so don't be put off by that. I've been here several times and the ice cream is always delicious. Part of the flavor choices change I think by the week which is nice so you know you'll get to try something new.

Chris N.

Yelp
So fun! So cheap! What a scene filled with happy kids and good times. Two waffles for $4.50 is a steal! Plus they're tasty!

Amanda T.

Yelp
My friends and I came here on a Saturday night for dessert after dinner. The line was a bit long but moved pretty quickly. I got the cookiesncream and matcha soft serve topped with Oreos served in a cup. It was good! Very flavorful and the texture of the soft serve was smooth. The Oreo topping was a great addition to the soft serve since it gave it a bit of a crunch. There's seating inside the store so my friends and I were able to eat and lounge around for a while. The ambiance was great. This store is located in the little Tokyo plaza, which requires street parking.

Ashley R.

Yelp
The line here goes quickly and you will not be disappointed! I appreciate the large amount of ice cream you get and not to mention the toppings you can choose when they serve it to you. Fruity pebbles cereal + banana ice cream, YUM!!! I also went overboard with the smell and wanted to try the Nutella filled taiyaki. I truly love some of their flavors are dairy free as well. That way everyone can enjoy.

Akshita P.

Yelp
immaculate dessert choice in Tokyo town. I got this ahboong with ube and cookies and cream swirl, nutella filling and oreo crumble on top! The Ahboong was warm and freshly made, perfectly contrasting with the cold smooth soft serve. would go back and eat this again in a HEARTBEAT Like actually I think about this frequently and crave the perfection

Grace C.

Yelp
I love their new location in Little Tokyo! It's super convenient because it's near the plaza and within walking distance between all the walking spots in Little Tokyo. The service was super swift despite the LONG line. And there were seats, which I feel is rare with SOMISOMIs because usually people just come and go. The food is as good as ever. Forgot to take a photo of my food because of how good it was. You can't go wrong with anything you order at SOMISOMI.

Yelp
I love getting my freshly baked Taiyaki. We got the custard and red bean flavors. So the cost was 2 for $4.50 what a great deal!

Yelp
Absolutely loved it! Terrible location. Well, because of traffic and parking. Tons of people. But the soft serve is really good. They move pretty fast. So shout out to them. I got the milk and Ube swirl. So good! Coconut topping to add some crunch. So good! Priced fair at $4 or so. Definitely a fan of this place now. Maybe next time I'll go to a different location. Keep up the good work guys. You satisfied my soft serve craving. Now I'm a fan!

Yelp
BIG SAD that this is now the closest Somisomi to me if I'm not driving all the way to Diamond Jamboree. RIP Santa Anita location. As a solid dessert franchise, there always seems to be a line going out of the shop and with the fact that they make their taiyaki fresh, it DOES get pretty warm inside. Despite this, the service is pretty efficient. We got the horchata swirl and I feel like you can never go wrong with what Somisomi offers. Nice creamy ice cream, decently warm and chewy taiyaki, cute aesthetics. Wish there was just a bit more custard on the inside and that it was filled up a bit more inside the fish, but it was a busy Friday evening. Other than that, solid dessert place in Little Tokyo.
