From the first day to the last, the staff at Son Felip delivered a perfect experience. Our accommodations were luxurious, clean, environmentally friendly, and aesthetically perfect. The ability to comfortably unpack my suitcase and store it out of site was the start of a relaxing experience. The accommodations were followed by meals that were just amazing. The staff went overboard to address my food sensitivities and preferences. Each meal was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palette.
The best part was the horse riding. These beautiful Menorcan horses went all over the rugged terrain of Menorca to show us caves, beaches, lighthouses, peaks, and coves. They were sure-footed, confident, and safe. Our guide, Maite, is a talented and intelligent horsewoman as well as a proud Menorcan. She paired us with horses that suited our riding abilities and ensured that were safe, but also having fun.
When we were not riding, the property offered lovely walking trails and was very close to a nature (fauna) preserve with well marked signs in English to help you identify native species of plants. It also had a lovely pool overlooking the farm, and several places to curl up for a nap, a good read, or some conversation.
I cannot wait to come back.
