There are two Sonam fast food shops in Bhotia market. One serves only non-veg momos. & The other one has veg varieties in fast food. And these two shops are face to face.

Great momos. Fast service. No sitting space. Veg and mutton momos available.

Momos are absolutely delicious and mouth watering for sure so couldn’t click pics! But the noodles were average! I would definitely recommend you guys to try out their momos! The best I’ve ever eaten so far!

If you’re searching for a unique street food experience in Nainital, Sonam Momos (also known as Sonam Fast Food) in the Tibetan Market stands out for its authentic Tibetan-style momos, especially the mutton variety. Flavorful and affordable, these momos are a hit among both tourists and locals seeking genuine taste without pretension. The old-world charm of its bustling market location adds to the experience, though it may be crowded and somewhat tricky to find. However, Sonam Momos is truly a no-frills eatery. Expect a modest setting with a local atmosphere and a basic approach to hygiene—some diners have noted food handling practices that might put off the more hygiene-conscious. The quality of momos, while mostly praised for their juiciness and spice, can sometimes be inconsistent with occasional reports of dryness. In summary: Come to Sonam Momos for the local flavors and the atmosphere of Nainital’s Tibetan Market. It’s a great spot if you prioritize taste and authenticity over polish and presentation, but be ready for simple surroundings and potential crowding, especially during peak season. The mutton momos here are still considered a must-try by many!

Fast food items are just okay and nothing special here. Preparation is quite normal and quality as well as quantity is seen compromised. Non veg items are prepared separately but their quality is not up to the mark. Hygiene is not found proper. Worst is that only cash amount is accepted, no online payments. It seems the shopkeeper is evading government revenue. Better avoid.

This place is located inside a very narrow lane amidst a very bustling market. Had read a lot about this place so decided to make a visit. Tried the mutton momos here and i found to be quite average. The chutney was nice and spicy and that made the momos tasty. It was 50rs for half a plate. They also have thukpa and noodles in both veg and mutton options, however they do not serve chicken. Visit only if you are around the area.

I visited the place with great expectations but only to be disappointed. The momos were tasteless. Infact worst momos I ever had. Also, very expensive. Don't bother to visit if you are from Delhi NCR. You will be highly disappointed. It's no match to what you are used to eating in Delhi.
