Sonder 17WEST Apartments

Modern and spacious rooms equipped with plenty of kitchenware, towels and in the entrance area with stocks of tea, coffee, toilet paper and everything you possibly need during your stay. I recommend to book parking with Sonder since they have dedicated spots reserved for their guests in the same building. The entrance is next to Trader Joe's supermarket around the corner. Publix supermarkets and Walgreens are also reachable by foot. The Taco Stand is around the corner as well as Pummarola Pizza. The only downside were the dirty balcony that hasn't been cleaned and the messy pool area which has been taken over by a family the day we came in and that left empty ham packaging in the pool. We have spent most of our time at the beach anyway so not a big thing for us not using it. The free trolley departs in front of the building to South Pointe Park.

We absolutely loved our rooms, pool and balcony views!!! Close to grocery, parking, restaurants and a liquor store right across the street! Bathrooms were amazing! Loved every minute of our stay before getting on a cruise!

Overall, it served it’s purpose but you get what you pay for. The location was pretty close to the beach and the shopping center which was a huge plus. Downside was that the doors to the pool were jammed and I got stuck inside until someone came to let me out, and the pool area was disgusting and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The shower water never got past a lukewarm temperature despite following the instructions listed on the wall. To top it off, this place was infested with millipedes. They were all over the balcony, we constantly had to remove them from inside the apartment, and there had to have been at least a few hundred in the pool and surrounding area. Again, it was an affordable stay but this place took “you get what you pay for” to another level. All things considered, including the low cost, we won’t be staying here again.

I've just returned from a 4 night stay here. The location is ideal, it doesn't take long to walk to the beach or shops and there are plenty of bus stops nearby. Check in was easy, it was self check in and I was sent everything well in advance. The apartment and rooms were really nice and had everything we might need. There were no issues with cleanliness. The pool area was also lovely. I would recommend this place to friends and I would also stay again.

This was a specular stay. The 2 bedrooms were huge with spacious living room/kitchen and large bedrooms - the master had the largest bathroom ever seen for a "hotel". It was very clean. I have seen more negative reviews about dirty rooms but I figure those are happen infrequently and maybe due to housekeeping forgetting or late in cleaning. It is a non-concierge hotel so cannot give a 5 star rating for service. However, when I wanted to know something a Sonder rep answered the phone very quickly (that provides comfort knowing not a long wait when calling). The location is excellent as end of Lincoln pedestrian shopping street - only cannot give 5 stars given not at the beach side end. Notwithstanding, for the price this place was an incredible stay. And HUGE BONUS. The pool area is very big for a hotel with only about 30 rooms (only on 2 floors and only on 2 sides of a (what looks like) converted parking lot. Twice we were the only people in the pool and another 2 times only 1 or 2 others.

Loved our stay. This is essentially a condo with a kitchen and all. Service is quick! We experienced one minor issue that was promptly taken care of while we were out. Having a grocery store below is convenient; the walk to the beach is a bit. There are rental bikes across the street, but some places provide bikes for guests which would be nice. Looking forward to booking here again!

A great place to stay in Miami Beach. Loads of space and we got it at a really great price. We stayed for 4 nights in a 3 bedroom unit. Access with the code was super easy. Lots of parking space as well. The apartment was huge, great kitchen, huge walk-in closets and all bedrooms were ensuite.

This used to be a decent place to stay but the air conditioning sometimes malfunctions and this time the keypad to entry also malfunctioned on 2 of the days. I had trouble getting into my unit and there is no staff available to help which makes it quite frustrating. The bedroom is always very hot which makes it impossible to sleep in the Miami heat. Also check out time is normally 11am but at 10am there were cleaners that started knocking on my door and continued to enter the unit even when I said “no thank you.”
