Sonder Coffee

Visited on a busy Sunday morning and was surprised by how smoothly everything ran. Even though there was a long line, it moved quickly and we were able to get a table without much trouble. I ordered the seasonal flight and it did not disappoint, every flavor was excellent and thoughtfully crafted. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but well worth it for the quality. Despite how busy it was, the atmosphere wasn’t overly noisy, which made it enjoyable. Indoor seating is limited however there is seating outside, heaters would be a great addition during colder months. Parking was easy. Overall, a great experience and I’d gladly return.

Heard on Instagram of the coffee flights available at Sonder Coffee and had to see what all the Buzz was about! Well…they were awesome and so were the pastries and hot vanilla latte! Sonder was packed but the baristas were very efficient and we didn’t have to wait but a few minutes! We had an Awesome experience and we will definitely be back!

This is such a cute coffee shop! I went because I wanted to try the coffee flights. I got the seasonal one with the peppermint white mocha, gingerbread, orange cardamom, and little debbie lattes. The orange cardamom was the best. It was very unique. The gingerbread was also really good. The other two were just ok. I also got a biscuit with butter. It was nice and big and fluffy. The flights take a while, so keep that in mind if you order one. This place was super busy, and there weren't any seats initially. Luckily we got seats along the window for three of us. I feel like they need to expand to a bigger location because there isn't a lot of space to wait for food/drinks. It was hard to distinguish between the line for ordering and who was just waiting.

we have been here and few times and really wanted to like it, but its pretty expensive for average food and coffee. they are good at marketing their seasonal drinks but they all taste pretty mid, average breakfast food. we got 2 specialty lattes, a biscuit sandwich, and a breakfast burrito which came out to $38 before tip. we can get way better coffee for less in Raleigh. Definitely overhyped by social media. Also they almost assume you want to sit down and have coffee & food there when there is barely any places to sit.

This is a really beautiful coffee shop with a great ambiance, I genuinely want to love it. Unfortunately, the service has consistently fallen short. I’ve been coming here since they opened, and I’ve never had a genuinely positive interaction with the staff. They often come across as rude and dismissive, and today was no different. I came in with my son in a stroller to order an iced chai. After ordering, I sat down and came up when my drink was called. There were two similar drinks next to each other, so I asked which one was mine. The barista replied “that one” without pointing, and it was placed on the far side of the counter where I couldn’t reach with my stroller. When I explained that, none of the staff made any effort to hand me the drink, they simply ignored me. Another customer kindly stepped in and helped, which I truly appreciated. I do enjoy their teas, but I can’t justify spending my money at a place that doesn’t respect its customers. I’ve never been greeted warmly, and while I initially gave grace assuming it was just off days, the pattern is too consistent to ignore. Wait times are also unusually long even when it isn’t busy. Overall, the coffee is mediocre, honestly, I’d choose Starbucks over this most days.

I needed a spot to bunker down and get some work done. I agree with a lot of people that the vibes are nice! There is lots of seating and plenty of outlets (about 6-8). The seats against the wall may not be designed for long term use but the high chairs may be better. The barista gave a wonderful recommendation with the cookies and cream latte as well! Definitely excited to come again!

Very great coffee! They offer coffee flights, but I have been there three times within an hour of them opening and I haven’t been able to get one due to them being out of cups. With having such a popular item, I would encourage increasing cups, but I have heard it is due to people taking their cups with them when they should not be.

My wife is a content creator and we’ve been meaning to try this place out for a while, especially because of their seasonal coffee flights. We arrived and ordered our drinks and a donut from Tepuy that they feature there. While we sat and waited for our items, we realized that the staff was physically bringing everyone’s order to their table. After 20 minutes, we wondered where our items were. I glanced over to the counter and realized our coffee flight was there the whole time. I got up and asked the lady if this was ours and she said yes. I asked her why she didn’t bring it to our table like she did to everyone else’s coffee and food and she didn’t give me an answer. Because it had been sitting there for so long, the tops of our drinks were all watery because the ice had melted, resulting in a very unpleasant drinking experience. Also, aesthetic wise, the drinks didn’t really look like what was featured online. For example, the blueberry latte didn’t have fresh blueberries on top like all the photos do online on social media. The poor service on top of the drinks not looking like it did online would probably make me not return here again.

I went during their holiday menu and was blown away. I tried the Little Debbie latte and not only was the drink delicious but it came with the cutest latte art on top! It looked just like a Little Debbie Christmas Tree. I loved that they had a lot of patio seating. It was perfect for taking our GIANT donut outside to feed to the toddlers. One donut was easily 2-3 regular donuts. Can't wait to return and try the Valentine's Day Menu.

Sonder Coffee has been on my list of places to go for some time now & I'm so glad I finally made it. Sonder is in the Wendell Falls complex amongst so many other establishments. I was meeting a friend for lunch and they had already arrived. There's a very long table in the middle of the seating area, like common seating. Then there are several tables in a booth type set up. They have plenty of food options, including breakfast until 2pm, which includes biscuit sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and more. They have a nice variety of handhelds, flatbreads & other yummy options. I had the breakfast bagel w/ sausage, it was absolutely delicious. On to the coffee, I love that they have a coffee flight, you don't see that everywhere. They have so many coffee options. As well as teas, matcha & hot chocolate. I got the pistachio latte to go. What I didn't realize was that there were pistachio bits in it, it was delectable. I also got a gingerbread latte in a can to go, such a cool concept. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items. My friend lives in the neighborhood and is there at least 3 times a week or more. This is such a cute little coffee shop! I ordered a lavender matcha ($8 + with the lavender syrup and oat milk) and it's one of the best I've ever had! I do feel like it's overpriced my friend also got a latte and lemon muffin which in total came to $20. The pastry display had flies in it. They went to the back to get a fresh batch for our order but did not throw the old ones away.

This cafe is so cute! Love the location and that there was both indoor and outdoor seating. This place can get packed, and can have long lines. Seating is first-come-first-served and is community-style, so not many 2-4 size tables are available. Both the breakfast burrito and the biscuit sandwich were delicious! But if you don't want a messy breakfast, don't get the burrito! We initially came for the seasonal latte flight, but with how packed the place was, we promoted for regular sized latte plus the canned ones! Very convenient and come in non-diary options! Hubby's thoughts: Cherish every biscuit bite. 7.5/10 - can be chaotic when busy

I haven't been to Sonder in a while but I was intrigued by their fun Valentine's Day coffee menu. They offer coffee flights, so I made my way out there on a Monday morning to give it a try. They recommend the latte flight iced, which was a great recommendation based on the flavors. I had the Fruit Loop, Strawberry Shortcake, Brownie Batter, and Honey Vanilla. Overall, my favorite was the Strawberry Shortcake. So good and I hope they bring it back in the summer because I would love to sip on this while baking in the sun.

One of my fav coffee spots! We love to come here for one of their specialty lattes and split a bacon egg and cheese bagel. Banana bread latte was one of my favs, so waiting for that to come back! Flights are fun but pricey so I did it once but maybe never again haha. Some days you get there right when they open and there's a line out the door, other days you get there right when they open and there's only 2 other people in the place. Easy parking and outdoor seating available when the weather's nice!

Cute seasonal drinks that taste DELISH!! The breakfast burrito was amazing too. They put frosting on the outside of the Christmas tree latte, and I wanted to lick it all off

Came here to try the coffee flights! Unfortunately, it is a long wait for flights, and they are often out of the different flights, so I would be careful about coming specifically for those if you are not willing to wait a long time. However, the coffee was delicious, and definitely worth the wait! Would come back another time for sure

This is a great coffee shop! Very busy, but the service and quality are amazing! It also has a simple book great menu - we specifically went so I could try the latte flight and it did not disappoint!

We stopped to get coffee for the road and it was busy. The line moved fast and we did not have to wait very long for it. I wanted to try the coffee lemonade but they could not make it decaf as made with cold brew. We ordered decaf blueberry latte and Americano with brown sugar syrup. My latte was delicious and ready to drink, Americano was hot so had to let cool a bit. The Americano was also very good. Coffee was very smooth. They have a few tables but were all taken by patrons. The unisex bathroom was clean.

Wonder Coffee is a pleasant sub-urban 3rd Wave coffee spot nestled into the back of the new retail space in Wendell Falls. Coffee is good. Staff is friendly. The vibe lacks distinct personality, but it's The Burbs. It's just nice having a place that makes a killer cappuccino. So it works.

Great coffee shop. Very busy location and usually has a line but it's good. The service is excellent with great staff. Nice outdoor seating and pretty surrounding. Coffee and food are delicious and a bit upscale compared to other fast breakfasts places. If I ever ventured up there again, I'd go there again.

I really loved Sonder Coffee! I had the Blueberry Latte, a strawberry muffin, and the Sonder Smash sandwich. All of it was excellent. My husband got the Mint Chocolate Chip Latte and loved it. The service was good. I noticed after ordering that they offer a latte flight, which I definitely want to try next time. The whole place is super cute and aesthetic, with both indoor and outdoor seating. I'll definitely be back.

I'd been seeing this place on Instagram for a while and finally got to check it out on a day off. The employees were a little slow to greet me, but were helpful when I asked for suggestions on what to get. I sat outside and there was plenty of seating at tables for four (with umbrellas) and two. The flies were a big problem though. I think if they installed some fans it would really help. I was having to shoo them away the entire time. The breakfast burrito was very good! It had lots of different meats and was filled with egg, and came with salsa. It may have been the best part. The latte flight was just ok. Mint chocolate chip was probably my favorite, followed by the orange creamsicle, and banana bread. However, the blueberry latte was just bad. It had zero blueberry flavor. Disappointing. They were also a bit watery...my suggestion would be to make ice cubes out of coffee so your drink doesn't get all watered down when it starts to melt. I will say it's pricey. The latte flight and burrito was $28. If Yelp would let me give half stars I'd rate Sonder a 3.5.

Oh how I wish I had a Sonder Coffee in my neck of the woods. The drinks, the location, the vibe, the people, and the overall place would be somewhere I would absolutely frequent! I'd bring m laptop and work for hours. I ordered a blueberry lavender latte and it was divine! Literal heaven in a cup!!! The ladies working were so sweet and welcoming and answered all my questions. They were wonderfully kind! Next time I'm up this way I am already looking forward to visiting! I want to try EVERYTHING!!!

I met a friend here for lunch and I had the best time we ate outside. The staff bring you your coffee and food. The coffee flight I was able to choose from either signature or seasonal lattes. I chose signature lattes and my favorite one was the brown sugar. This was a great way to try the drinks. My friend got the blueberry latte. Our food was good too. Would definitely come back!

I came back again , but during the week for some breakfast. they were only one person ahead of me in line. I decided to eat there and it took maybe 10 minutes at most for my food and drink to come out. my bacon egg and cheese biscuit sandwich was delicious. I had previously gotten the banana bread latte on a coffee flight and enjoy it so I decided to get it as a full drink. it was very tasty and had a good banana flavor to it.

My absolute favorite coffee shop In the triangle area. Everything I've had here has been delicious. I love that their syrups are homemade. The staff is phenomenal and service is always great. I can't rave enough about Sonder!

One of the best coffee shops in Wendell. However, they are very inconsistent. I come about 2-3 times a week and get the same things but each time my order is made different. The food is really good but depending on the day the burrito can be smaller than usual cold. The side of salsa is mostly liquid with a few chunks of tomatoes. The baristas are not on the same page about what sizes certain drinks can be ordered. I really like coming here but after my last experience I don't think I will as much.

The biscuit was so flaky and yummy! The burrito was outstanding! The service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was terrific. But could have been a little hotter--. We asked for extra hot and it was barely hot! But very flavorful! Great place for a breakfast treat! Family friendly. Very clean and temperature was awesome.

This place was really cute and trendy, a Bloggers paradise, only down side was where to stand when waiting for your order, very crowded.

We went on a Saturday morning and it was very busy. The inside seating area was pretty loud, I think future visit I would need to sit outside. We got our coffee quickly but the avocado toast took quite a while. The server apologized when he brought it out saying they had run out of avocado that was not frozen so that was why the wait. I was ok with that, an apology like that goes a long way. My friend didn't care for the flavor of her mocha but I really enjoyed my iced coffee. And, the avocado toast was delicious. Loved the capicola topping g which was really generous! I'm staying close to this shop for the next month so will go back on a weekday for certain and hopefully enjoy a less busy experience. Definitely worth trying this place out.

One of our favorite coffee spots! Oat milk lattes on tap are always tasty with rotating flavors, and my husband swears by their cappuccinos. The Greek yogurt with fruit, nuts, and honey is generous and delicious. Cute vibe and a great place to hang out or get some work done.

Great location and area! First time in Wendell and there was a cute craft market going on as well. Only suggestion would be to get there early! We waited about 30 mins in line to order and we got there around 9:45am. Drinks and food came out very fast though and DELICIOUS! Burrito and salsa were very flavorful and the breakfast biscuit was top!

Coffee: 3/5, some of the latte syrups were pretty artificial, but others were good. Space: 4.5/5, good amount of seating and very open. Vibe: 4/5, it was good but missing an X factor.

I personally really enjoyed the lavender coffee and the matcha (just make sure to give it a little stir since that what made it my top 2). If I do come back I'll try a lavender matcha! Overall it was nice and the place is very aesthetic.

I was here for 5 days and came here 3 times. The cookies and cream seasonal latte was absolutely insane. The biscuit was wonderful and so was the raspberry danish. Service was fast for how packed out they were. Cutie space. Love it there

Ordered our drinks. Got them. They didn't bother telling us before hand they were out of certain items that come with the drinks. So we ordered them and paid $15.00 plus tip for two small iced coffees that weren't even finished.

Experience - the staff are all very friendly, and I appreciate that they're willing to make recommendations for food or drinks. Not too full of a coffee shop, but not too empty where I feel like I'm the only one there which I think is good. The aesthetic of the place is lots of tans and neutrals, which I think is a very cool, modern decor inspo. Food/drink - great, I forget where they get their donuts from but I would get those again. The biscuit was only slightly dry but the other toppings were good.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the Raleigh-ish area! The atmosphere is inviting, the staff is always friendly, and the drinks are great!! I love that they have seasonal offerings in addition to their "always" menu. Extra bonus points for aesthetically pleasing glassware!

When you walk in the vibe is very calm and the decor is so nice. Came in while I waited for my nail appt next door and ordered a biscuit with apple butter and a hot chocolate. The staff had friendly demeanor and smiles upon my arrival. The hot chocolate came out very fast but the biscuit took a long time which I wasnt expecting. Everything was okay nothing was spectacular that would force me to come back.

Loved the homemade vanilla syrup in my latte and the breakfast burrito. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops I have tried in the triangle area.

Visiting from Texas and was really craving a smoothie bowl! Stopped here and also got a coffee, I must say this is the best smoothie bowl I've ever had. Definitely try this spot out, it's a treat!

Coffee is pretty good here and the workers are very nice. I recently tried the seasonal latte flights, but those were okay. Most of the lattes tasted watered down, especially the pink matcha. The orange mocha was pretty good though - I'd probably just get that by itself next time!

I love this place and wish that others didn't, so I did not have to stand in line, but the line moves pretty quickly. The staff is lovely and work hard, so please tip them accordingly! The Turkey Avocado sandwich and blueberry latte are what makes the drive worth it for me! The flights are fun too, if you are not sure which seasonal latte you want!

Flights were literally amazing. They were busy but worked so quickly to get things out. Will be going again. The decor is classic and clean.

I ordered online for pickup. Service was a little slow, not ready at the expected time frame. That is okay, since it was busy. My biggest issue was the quality of the food. Ordered a sausage biscuit. The biscuit was burnt. The online service was excellent, they immediately apologized and offered a refund.

Okay the sonder breakfast sandwich has the most amazing pesto like sauce on it. The after taste is incredible too. Went back and ordered another after I had to split it with my husband because I wanted a whole one to myself lol . The normal breakfast sandwich was good but the sonder was my favorite because it was unique from the sauce! So we ordered 4 coffees to sample which ones were our favorites. The fruit loop latte, mocha, London fog, and raspberry latte and our favorites were the London Fog which had the perfect amount of vanilla and the mocha.

My goodness I want this place to make its way to Charlotte. This was absolutely delicious. I ordered the breakfast biscuit with apple butter. The biscuit literally melted in my mouth it was so yummy and the apple butter was extremely fresh. I literally went back the next day and got the biscuit with bacon egg and cheese. The bacon could have been a bit crispier but again, the biscuit stole the show. Inside and out had plenty of seating and lots of outlets for a nice work from coffee shop vibe. I would recommend to anyone in the area!

I always love coming to Sonder, their iced blueberry latte is addicting and so worth the trip!!! I will say that the prices are a little higher than most, but they also make their own syrups so I'd rather pay extra for the better quality anyway. The staff is always friendly and the food is also delicious, especially the breakfast burrito. Definitely recommend

The coffee is excellent as well as the food. Portion size is perfect! Avocado toast you can skip but the yogurt bowl and breakfast biscuit sandwiches are amazing

got this place reccommended to me from a coworker. ordered an iced banana bread latte and the breakfast burrito! everything was just alright... breakfast burrito was kind of disappointing. i would not recommended it. nice decor inside though!

This place isn't necessarily close to me, but it's become my special occasion coffee shop. Their lavender latte is one of the best in the area, well worth the drive! I don't love super heavy flavors in my coffee, so I always request a small amount of lavender, and it has been perfect every single time.

The coffee is delicious. The waitstaff had smiles and very helpful. Loved the outdoor seating.
