Our group of 6 stayed here last weekend and while the place was only ok, it has so much potential to be great. I will first start with the pros:
• Fantastic location – close to everything and easy to get around.
• Great layout – the space is well-designed and comfortable for a group.
• Private bathrooms – each bedroom having its own en-suite bathroom is a huge plus, and the additional half bath was very convenient.
Now for the Cons:
• Cleanliness was a major issue – all the bathrooms were extremely dirty upon arrival. Walls had visible dirt and grime on them, the baseboards looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and bedroom walls were layered in dust. The entire unit clearly needs a deep clean.
• Poorly stocked kitchen – for a unit that sleeps six, there were only two wine glasses and generally not enough kitchen essentials to accommodate a full group.
• Skylight issues – two of the bedrooms had skylights directly over the beds with no blinds, making it nearly impossible to sleep past sunrise.
• Toilet issues on arrival – all toilets had large amounts of toilet paper in them when we arrived, likely left from the cleaners. One toilet clogged as a result, and when I contacted maintenance, the response was dismissive: “There should be a plunger in the bathroom you can use.” No apology or follow-up was offered.
This place has a lot of potential, but several things need to be addressed:
• A professional cleaning before each guest stay should be non-negotiable.
• The kitchen needs to be properly stocked for the number of guests the unit is advertised to sleep.
• Blinds or covers should be added to skylights in sleeping areas.
• Maintenance and customer service should be more responsive, accountable, and guest-focused. A simple apology and an offer to help would have gone a long way.
If those things were improved, I’d absolutely consider staying again or recommending it to others. As it stands, it felt more like an afterthought than a professionally managed rental.
