Sonder JBR The Walk Apartments

The apartment was lovely, great views, great service, great location, excellent standard, 5 stars! |The reason for the 4 stars is the pool and beach experience, the pool and beach is shared with the Rixos, it’s a lovely area, great service and with great big comfy sun loungers but there just aren’t enough. We had to pay extortionate amounts everyday to get loungers/cabana from the beach club as no matter what time you got up they were all covered in towels already. There was plenty of space on the beach for more loungers to be placed so no excuse not to have enough.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sonder JBR by Marriott! From the moment we checked in, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious, perfect for 4 people and had stunning views over JBR and the sea — waking up to that skyline and beach every morning was just incredible. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Jumeirah Beach Residence, surrounded by great cafés and breakfast places, yet still quiet enough to relax. One of the highlights was that we were able to use the pool and facilities at the Rixos Premium Dubai, which made the stay feel even more like a five-star resort experience. The beach right in front of the property is gorgeous, clean and perfect for morning walks or sunset swims. Overall, it was a truly perfect stay — stylish accommodation, amazing amenities and the ideal spot to enjoy Dubai’s beach life. We’ll definitely come back next time!

Sonder is part of the Marriott group which should stand for quality and reliability. When we arrived at night we were told that we received an upgrade because we have Marriott Gold status. Unfortunately this was not an upgrade at all. We were placed in apartment 203 on the second floor and staying in the lower floors turned out to be a huge mistake.||The club music was extremely loud until around 3 AM and the whole apartment was shaking. Our children and we could not sleep at all. I went to the front desk to ask for help but they could not assist at that moment and said they would forward it to the manager. They told us that the hotel was fully booked and that a quieter apartment on the fifth floor would only be available starting from October 12. Until then we would have to stay in the noisy apartment which was unacceptable.||After insisting several times we were offered to move to another Sonder property in the city but only if we paid an extra charge and accepted a place without beach access. They also offered Sonder credits instead of a refund. Only after I said that I would contact the tourism department did they finally agree to refund the payment to my credit card except for the one night we had already spent there which I accepted.||We then moved to Hilton Dubai Jumeirah and it was a completely different level of comfort and service. Sonder has nice furniture and design but if you stay in a second or lower floor apartment it is a total failure. The constant music and vibrations from the club until early morning and the piano sound from the lobby during the day made it impossible to relax.||Because of this situation we lost a full day in Dubai and our children’s first impression of the city was very disappointing. Sonder should not rent out these low floor apartments at this price level. I strongly recommend avoiding these rooms and not trusting any so-called upgrade promises.

Our group stayed in a 4 bedroom apartment at Sonder Jumeirah Beach Residence and it exceeded all expectations. The apartment was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered incredible beach views overlooking the Dubai Eye truly breathtaking at any time of day.||What really stood out was the service. The pool bar team, especially Al Musa, went above and beyond to make our stay special. He provided exceptional service throughout our visit and always greeted us warmly as the “Hubba Bubba group.” His attention to detail and friendly personality made our time by the pool unforgettable.||We highly recommend Sonder JBR for anyone looking for a stylish, comfortable and well-located place to stay in Dubai. We’ll definitely be returning!

The price doesnt worth the room and the service.. the location is fantastic. the beach club is always full after 12:30 pm. the rooms has sewer smell. the phone is not working you only chat with the conceirge. and the couch in one of the rooms is broken and the hotel didnt change the room nor the couch. the parking people had a mistake and we had accedent with the parking barrier and the supervisor is not polite talking and acting like he is doing a favour for the customers. this was my third stay in Sondor and the last is the worst.

Avoid this hotel – worst service ever!|I booked a family room at Shonder Hotel JBR two months in advance for my family of nine, including young children. Just days before our flight, they cancelled saying the room was sold out — even though I had already paid in full. This left us completely stranded, and by the time we found out, other hotels had increased their prices, forcing us to cancel our entire holiday.|Customer service was terrible — no apology, no alternative, just “sorry, go elsewhere.” I’ve stayed before and even recommended them, but this experience was shocking. I’ve raised a formal complaint through Dubai’s travel authority. Please avoid – they do not care about their guests.

The actual apartment was excellent other than plumbing issues during our stay and an excellent location on the Beach however the supervision of the pool area and lack of support from both management and security around the pool area was unacceptable. Getting a sunbed anywhere around the pool area is impossible and even when you get one you can be told to move even after sitting there for three hours as vip guests at the adjoining hotel rixos are given priority. If you stand you ground you are asked to leave the pool area and made to look like criminals in full public view while Rixos guests take your beds and then are permitted to laugh, mock and applued you leaving. Security staff do nothing even when presented with abusive and intimidating guest s because they are booked in the rixos hotel and share the pool facilities. Incident was reported to police but convieniently it was claimed by the hotel the CCTV did not cover that area.

I really enjoyed staying at Sonder, the staff was helpful, welcoming and incredibly accommodating at all times! Sonder has an amazing beach and pool directly out front, with good music and amazing service. Also, they have free parking in a parking garage directly below the hotel. When I‘m im Dubai next time, I will stay here again!
