This Sonder property is beautiful and I've been to 5 of their properties now! We love Sonder!! Very affordable and great location! About an 8-10 walk to Grand Central train station. A little further about a 20-30 min walk to Time Square, Bryant Park, NYCity Public Library and Central Park! Lots of eateries, coffee shops and corner stores nearby! Explore the side and back streets to find the best places! We recommend Rock'y pizza, One Two Thai and Baya Bar!! For the in room experience: We do wish that they would just put a stack of towels in the room so we can use as many as we need as opposed to us having to request towels multiple times and they won't always show up, very frustrating. Also, they really need a longer shower liner. If you aren't careful, you could get water all over the floor. There was no in shower storage for the soaps you bring. You do have to pay for a cleaning service, which we didn't use because we swept and cleaned ourselves daily. Overall we love the simplistic nature of Sonder properties and with a few tweaks, could be a perfect experience. Nothing is perfect though, right? There is enough closet space and kitchen storage, also, a big refrigerator! Friendly staff downstairs but they do not work for Sonder. People also live in this particular property of theirs. Have a great NYC experience with this great property.

Sonder The Nash has horrible customer service and cockroaches. I rarely leave reviews but I needed to share my experience at Sonder The Nash. During my roughly 10 day stay, I faced multiple maintenance issues. Starting with a broken AC, followed by several cockroach sightings in my unit, and most recently, a broken toilet. Communication through the app was slow and frustrating. When I told them about the cockroaches, they came in while I was at work and told me pest control couldn't come because they didn't see any, even though I sent them photo proof of cockroaches in the apartment. It took days, repeated follow ups, and me having to buy and use my own roach killer spray to get pest control in. While the space has potential, the responsiveness and upkeep were disappointing. I’d recommend considering other options.

We liked the room. It was bigger than we expected. We used the kitchen a lot. And the location is great. We stayed 8 days and no one came to clean once and we never received new towels during the whole stay. So beware of this. We had a little problem with some noise coming from a neighbor. This woke us up a couple days in the morning. The problem was an adjoining door that connected our room with another guestroom. The door is not insulated. We contacted Sonder to let them know about the noise and they were not friendly in their responses. We sometimes heard traffic noise, but it wasn't too bad. The price of the room was very high.

I paid for a one bedroom superior room. What I received was basically a studio apartment with a sliding door to separate the bedroom from the living space. They put the bed in the large living room and put the couch in the smaller area. This was a problem since the “bedroom” was open to the kitchen, bathroom, and dining table making it noisy for those wanting to sleep in. The photos of the room I booked were different than what I received. Very misleading and false advertising. I called Sonder, spent over an hour on the phone and they refused to move us to another room. They stated that layouts on their website are not always guaranteed. After much back and forth, the agent hung up on me. The only reason I gave this two stars is the location, which is near Central Station.

Such wonderful stay… I wasn’t expecting anything different because we’re talking about Sonder… read a lot of comments online and honestly I can’t agree with most of the bad reviews that I saw… the studio was fully furnished, renovated (except the bathroom, but no big deal), with all appliances needed, it was a big studio btw… we’re talking about NYC midtown, don’t expect to find anything bigger. The building was very secure, the concierge was always friendly and very professional. Because Sonder is at a building with residents, we cross with so many people that live in the building and we never had any problem…they were always friendly. We stayed at the 5th floor and the only noise that we heard was from the street outside and wasn’t so bad… we had some small doubts at the beginning, but Sonder staff helped us very quickly.

Everything about this apartment was perfect. Location was very central but extremely quiet (apart from a few beeps from motorists) and felt very safe. We had an amazing view of the Empire State Building from our room. Incredible views from the rooftop, we got up to watch the sunrise which felt so special. The apartment itself was incredibly spacious, a comfy bed and looked exactly like the photos. For our last night in NY we stayed in a 5 star hotel which cost far more than our stay in the Sonder, yet, the stay at the Sonder was far better. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The Nash was in a great location for exploring Manhattan, the interior of our flat (2g) was a bit tired and the shower (over the bath) wasn’t great as it had very low pressure. Our room had an adjoining door to another room which impacted privacy as you could hear everything through it. The small onsite gym was great and the roof terrace pretty spectacular. I’d stay again, but go for a different room.

I was really quite disappointed with this stay. The website shows light, modern rooms in pristine condition. In fact, our room was very dark and in poor condition. The floor was covered in huge scratches, there were scratches on one of the picture frames on the wall. The sofa felt tired and wasn’t very comfortable. The A/C was so incredible loud you could hardly have a conversation with it on. The bed didn’t work with the shape of the bedroom at all - it was really bizarre. The room just didn’t look at all like the photos online - I thought I was getting a recently renovated space with lots of light and I feel like I got the opposite. That said, the location is great and the staff were helpful.
